They don't make them like this anymore!

Sturdy, 13" hardwood handle was cut vertically for added strength and the the head is attached with a steel rod that goes through the handle for added strength.

Sharp, machine grade steel head boasts a 3.25" sharpened edge, and a flat backside to use as a hammer or log splitter. Large enough to do serious work, but small enough to carry in a vehicle or leave in the survival kit.

The design allows for perfect balance, making this ideal for chopping, splitting, and throwing.

"Just picked one up and I love it. Very durable and highly affordable. This will make a great small camp hatchet. My only question: Is it Swedish or Swiss?? I found some other locations online that list it as Swiss. I don't really care where it's from as it's a wonderful item"

"I love this axe! Since getting it, I have cut up tons of wood for my stove to keep my old bones warm here in Colorado. It came sharp, with a plastic blade protector, and it's holding that edge fine with all the chopping. Better than my Gerber hatchet that cost 4 times as much. Buy it now; it's a keeper!"

"I just got 2 of these. Looks like just in time as they are now out of stock. Small enough to keep under the seat in a vehicle, in case you ever come upon a crash and need a tool to bust someone out of a vehicle. Extremely well made. Head mounted on an ash handle with professional wedge. Comes with rubber edge cover. Edge needs to be honed if you want it really sharp-sharp."

"Built like a Swiss watch. Better get one while you can. Unbeatable price."

"This is a great hatchet and deserves five bullets, generally speaking. I gave only four bullets because they are a little head heavy and therefore less fitted for throwing than I had hoped. Not a big deal, except for the description stating they are balanced for throwing. Also, one of the four Swiss hatchets I ordered has a crooked head. None of these things are a huge deal and I am confident that all four hatchets will perform well for many years. All in all, they are well worth the price and much better than any department store hatchet, so pick one up while you still can."

"If you are a prepper or just a general wood user, this is the hatchet for you. It will need general maintenance, but it is the only one to chose for the price. VERY HIGH QUALITY! I have had mine for 6 months, and I use it over my axe most of the time, because it works just as well."

"I bought this hatchet to keep with my BOB, it was dull when it came so I sharpened it myself. I was splitting wood the other day and used a larger axe and a smaller hatchet, both sucked and wouldn't do the job. So I remembered I had my hatchet downstairs. On the first piece of wood it split it with no problem! And so on. Great hatchet, very well made. When I showed it to one of my friends who is a welder and big into knives and hatchets, he said it was handmade and was very nice. and I agree! This little hatchet gets the job done, I now wish I would've bought another because now it's out of stock and for the price you can't beat it. I will be checking back for it. The info is right they sure don't make them like this anymore! 5 bullets all the way."
