"I am using this to make a poor mans aimpoint/eotech magnifier and it is PERFECT. bright clear lens and solid construction. mine even have a mount for the Hendsold illuminator should the "tank" range finder match up with a man sized target at the same distance (I have not gone out and checked that yet)well worth the money"

"I bought this Rangefinder not for any specific purpose, just to have something in my pocket that gives me the ability to see a little ahead. It's worked fine so far for hiking and at the range. Don't expect too much, as it has only a 2.5x magnification. However, the German craftsmanship, clarity and quality of this little thing makes it worth the price. If the etched tank outline doesn't bother you, this makes a fine little everyday Monocular."

"Ordered mine like the other viewer--a cheap magnifier for a red-dot sight. Work perfectly for that... the piece itself is extremely high-quality, comes with a proprietary mount which is easily remove. One thing to consider though--the eye relief is VERY short, much shorter then any other low-power optic I've used. Still works, just don't expect it to have a ranch-gun relief. Other then that, fun product at a great price."

"I wanted this just because I have a thing for 'vintage militaria' and what a great conversation starter. Mine came in a large green binocular type case, with a cleaning brush and chamois, as well as what looks like a claw type scope mount and a pair of large plastic diopter or sight discs (they have no apparent use as it doesn't attach to the unit anywhere). I thought I ordered a cheap little peeper, but instead got some history (well, 1980 that is)."

"If you want an interesting, high-quality, Cold War relic on the cheap, this is it. Not much practical value, unless you want to use it as a magnifier for a red dot scope. Or, maybe you happen to have a Panzerfaust 3 sans scope? Probably not. Not enough T-72s roaming around (in my neighborhood anyway) to make it a worthwhile investment. ? It will just be another thing for my friends to pick up and question me about when they are in the War Room. When I think of what the German Bundeswehr must have paid for this scope when it was new, I couldnt afford not to buy it. Excellent condition, very good optics, and a nice case and lens cloth as well as the proprietary mount, and some other unexplained plastic eyepieces. Just too cool."

"Great magnifier for the price. I mount it for use behind an eotech and aimpoint red dot (bought two of them) and works great. The optics are very clear and are in VERY good condition. Great alternative to more expensive magnifiers from eotech or aimpoint at fractions of the cost. Reticle originally designed as anti-tank but works great as a range estimator when looking at SUV's or sedans at a distance. Checked ranges against a high quality rangefinder and tic marks in reticle are more or less on target (+/- 10 yards). Reticle sometimes gets in the way when actually shooting but easily ignored as the reticle is black, and the scope reticle is red. Great for the money..."

"This is a great optic for tinkering. I would recommend you purchase a hensoldt illuminator as well. I'm going to mount one on a ring with elevation and windage adjustments for use on my paintball gun or airsoft. The tube diameter is the standard European 26mm. The optics are very good quality, considering they are from the 80'S (the manufacture date is on a decal under the rubber eye cup."

"I LOVE this little scope! I have always shot with iron sights, and begrudgingly admit as I gracefully age, it is becoming more difficult.... I bought this one to tinker with and have bought several more since. The 2.5 power is WONDERFUL for medium ranges, and as one of the other reviewers stated, adding the Hensoldt illuminator makes good even better! Makes a wonderful spotting scope too, if you make a handle to fit the mount, and you can't beat the price! I'm building kind of a "swept-back" mount to deal with the eye-relief issue."

"NICE SIGHTING SYSTEM FOR MAUSER RIFLES"

"Nice optic, makes a "To Cool" addition to my low-recoil rifle. Takes 1 in. rings, so mounting was easy. While there are no windage or elavation adjustment screws, my laser is well centered in the field of view."

"The quality of this gizmo is superlative, although its purpose is 'iffy'. Good optic for learning/teaching range estimation in rifle practice?! But it's only good for 400 meters? And the crosswind '+'s are for what levels of wind? You might be able to extrapolate the 500m range, but beyond that might as well hold up your thumb and dead reckon it! hahahha! So Bundeswehr would intend to duel T-72's & T-80's with this ?? Suicide mission if ever there was one. LOL But it is a fun toy and can guide you to better ranging arond big vehicles in a parking lot. Thanks CTD, it is fun."

"This is a heavy little magnifier. I made my own poor boy special out of it. I was able to remove the internal "tank reticle". I plan on placing it behind an EOTECH XPS2-0. The glass is as clear as can be."

"The clarity is great and can be used for many use's. Range finder works fine at the 100 and 200 yard range. Just have find longer range for the 3,4,5 hundred yard test. Depending on what you are trying to range you can use the plus signs to line up 1 thru 5 hundred yard range instead of tank outline symbols on glass . . . I may even try to fit it for scope when I MAKE MY OWN WINDAGE AND ELEVATION site base????"
