"i just bought a Mossberg 590, perfect gun for me but it came with no \"rear-sights\", for what i spent it should have at least came from the factor with sufficient sights to aim it correctly(only 1 front sight) then this product here requires gun smithing! thats ridiculous. Nothing personal against this gun or this awesome website, im just warning you guys"

"I agree with the one other reviewer of this product, the shotgun should come with a rear sight. He is a little too negative though. Installing the after market Ghost Ring Sights does not require a gunsmith. I have a 500 with the sights. The sights are worth the effort. The front sight can be installed using JP Weld. It is a strong epoxy that works well. So, buy the sights. Install them yourself. Then go out and enjoy shooting the gun. If they fall off, just put them back on and continue where you left off."

"I bought a Mossberg 590A1 which has these ghost ring sights pre-installed from the factory. It is the only way to go IMO. They provide very fast target acquisition and allow you to be accurate with slugs out 50-100+ yards. If you have a 500 or 590 without these installed from the factory, get this item. If you are not comfortable installing them yourself get someone to do it for you, it is well worth it."

"My wife bought the sight kit for me as a Christmas present. It is well worth the money. After careful review of my 590 I found it was already drilled and tapped. I took out the existing screws and positioned the rear site using supplied hardware. It worked like a charm, and only took 5 minutes to install. I screwed in the back sight elevation screw first then the other two screws that secure the rear sight. I Put a dab of lock tight on the screws and was ready to go. The front sight required alignment and bonding. A previous review suggested using JP Weld so I Used it and it looks good. There is No need for a gunsmith. This sight really does allow for quick target acquisition."
