Each of these heavy canvas, 12" x 7" x 3.5" bags feature an adjustable leather shoulder strap, two leather belt loops, leather straps for securing contents, steel hardware, four divided pockets and leather on the inside of the flap closure.
In 1953, the French battalion headed to Indochina to form the French Groupement Mobile 100 regiment. This newly formed regiment engaged in the brutal battle of Mang Yang Pass where they suffered heavy casualties. As part of their issued gear, each member of the regiment received one canvas bag to carry magazines and ammunition.
