The Fobus standard series holsters are made from a special blend of injection molded polymer. Built around a passive retention system, then standard series holsters mechanism acts like a spring on the trigger guard area in order to firmly hold the firearm securely in place. In order to use this holster properly the manufacturer recommends tightening you belt, place the holster on your hip and make sure the paddle seats all the way down on your belt. You want to employ a sharp, fast, decisive draw stroke in an upwards motion. You can use a silicone spray in the trigger guard in order to lower the level of retention.

"For the price, you can't beat it. Pros - After I broke it in a little, it functions flawlessly. Great price. The rubber backing that sort of sticks to your skin is not uncomfortable.LightweightDiscreetPistol is very secure and difficult to remove if not pulled at the right angle.Easy to draw from when secured to the hipCons - Seems like the polymer is not terribly strongThe paddle could be bigger, giving it more surface area to secure to your belt and your body. This seems like it will serve me pretty well as an interim holster until I can afford something better. Good retention and easy to use."

"Looks good. Took some breaking in to operate smoothly. I'm a novice so I don't anticipate needing anything better."
