XM193 product is first run, first quality product manufactured at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant for Federal Cartridge and is made to Federal specifications typical for commercial ammunition.

Lake City ammunition is known for its quality assurance and high quality products. This load is no different. Each cartridge is headstamped with the manufacturer's symbol and year of manufacture. It must have an accuracy of 3-10 round groups not to exceed 2.00" mean radius maximum average at 200 yards. 100% mechanical and/or electrical detection of propellant levels within the cartridge, and 100% visual inspection of finished cartridges prior to packaging.

The finished rounds consist of sealed primers which is ideal for long term storage and moisture protection. The ammo comes in 120 round polymer ammo cans.

Specifications:
5.56 NATO
Bullet Weight: 55 Grains
Bullet Type: XM193 Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail

Note: This item is manufactured in the Lake City Plant currently run by Federal ATK. The ammo is brand new, brass cased, boxer primed, non-corrosive and re-loadable. It is made to military specifications which require the cases to be annealed. Unlike civilian production ammo, the military requires to see evidence of annealing on the round itself. This is why the cases will appear to be discolored. This is done on purpose in order to meet the military requirement for overall strength and durability of the finished round.

"I purchased this brand of ammuntion in 52 grain. I fired this out of my Ruger Mk77 Hawkeye (1 to 9 twist). At a ranges of 100 yards. It punched connecting groups in my targets. I was able to shoot some dime size groups. This ammo is worth the money. Don't be worried about the \"Factoty Reload\". I conducted this shooting session shooting from the prone position using only a backpack as support. I'm looking forward to hunting varmints with this ammo. Be safe out there Cops. Semper Fi! Marines!"

"I practiced with some of this ammunition out of my DPMS Arms M4and Olympic Arms M4 with no feeding problems or jams. I shot off of a backpack and produced quarter-sized groups. I'm sure groups could tighten if i had a sandbag on hand. I shot rounds out to 300 yards with no problems doing follow-up shots. I will buy some more in a bit before they all go."

"Shot ~250 rounds and mid way experienced and complete fracture of a shell casing. This caused (2) rounds to lodge in the chamber. A leather man easily removed the casing, but this could have been ugly. Because my RRA has never had a proble firing any other brand from 55gr wolf steel to hornady tap, I'll be steering clear of ultramax from this point on."

"I have two Blackthorne Products uppers (16\" bull and a 24\" bull) and this ammo jams all the time. When I use another type of ammo no problem. I have three Bushmasters and one Colt which never jam.Go figureRJ"

"I read the 4 reviews from 2008 and saw two good and two bad so I was leery of this ammo. I decided to give it a chance and am glad that I did. I tested against premium ammo and another bulk pack from my local gun shop. Tested at 50, 100, 150 and 200 yards. There were no feed problems at all and it performed better than the other bulk pack for accuracy. I used a 8.5x11 target and all shots were on paper and within 3 inch circle at 200 yards."

"I also was a bit slow to purchase this based on prior reviews. Glad I did. The Lake City ammo shoots great in my ar. I also like the bandoliers and stripper clips with ammo can. Only thing missing is the spoon to load into the clips. Will buy more..."

"This ammo is great if you just wanna go burn up some ammo/paper. Not the greatest, but wasn't expecting match grade."

"What can I say, Federal Mil Spec Ammo is the best going. I know everyone comment this ammo is not match grade, I say this, that Federal cartridge is winning major military campaigns all around the world, and has for many years. This 556 NATO is great killer ammo, and cheap. You can pay more but won't stop a buck or a zombie any better. This federal ammo burns clean, low flash, tight groups, and affordable. The Federal Lake City cartridges are not polished like mirrors as this stuff is made to go to the front, and not a beauty contest runway. The discoloration you see in pictures is from the annealing process where the neck of the cartridge is heated after being formed. I do not get FtF or FT Fire, in perhaps 1500 rounds I've never had a hard primer. Wipe down with with a cotton rag or a gun wipe and shoot tomorrow. You can buy this NATO X193 and the X855 with confidence."

"I am writing to share my experience with ordering this 840 round can of XM193. I read a review by 'pappy' dated 9/1/2011 wherein he states that he didn't receive the 'spoon to load into the clips' ...Perhaps I received a different production run, but I got one stripper clip guide in each of my bandoliers. Each bandolier holds 4 packs of 30 rounds, so I received 1 guide per 120 rounds of ammo, or a total of 7 guides in the can. Unfortunately, it does not indicate this in the description of the item, so I purchased a 10 pack of stripper clip guides unnecessarily."

"Excellent ammo, clean, accurate, tight groups, no FTF or misfires. Feeding spoons are included with each bandoleer. The reviews at the bottom are outdated, this is a good purchase. Ordering more right now."

"I am breaking in new a new H&K MR556A1, zeroing in sights, etc. This ammo appears to be great quality. I've already ordered another can of this before the price goes up, as I found no issues with this ammo."

"This is some outstanding ammo. This ammo is great for target shooting, or for terminal use. I tested it at the range the other day with my Bushmaster Gas Piston AR-15. It shot really well. I personally believe the 55 gr. bullet used for this ammo is the best all around projectile for use in the AR-15 and M16 platform. If you want to have top terminal ballistic performance beyond 500 yards, use the 7.62 mm round."

"The ammo came all neatly packed in the boxes and in the bandoliers. All of it appears to be really clean and each can comes with 7 bandoliers with a spoon feeder in each bandolier. The only downside to this product is that I apparently didn\uFFFDt order enough when I did. The price went up from just a week ago! If that remains the same, I will have to purchase from a local store and a different brand of ammo. Ammo shoots great and really like the cans!"

"Great package. Grab a belt and go. Ammo is clean and shoots well. I love this package, with great ammo. Just wish it hadn't gone up in price. It's hard to find!"

"I purchased this ammo so I would have plenty on hand and would not have to worry about running out. I'm pleased to say it shoots very well through my very picky rifle (Ruger SR556). I thought having the cloth bags would be nice, but they are extremely cheap so I just pitch them. However, I love the ammo can they come in and since all the rounds are on stripper clips, they are easy to keep together. Would definitely buy again!"

"Excellent ammo. I use it with my FN SCAR, HK MR556, FN FS2000, SIG 556, and other rifles. Amazing. If you find it, buy all you can afford. It's clean and accurate."

"Ordered and was delivered within the week. Opened it up and reminded me of being back on the range in the Marine Corps. Haven't gone to the range yet, so only 4 bullets. Awesome plus it comes with clips, loaders, ammo can and those awesome cloth bandoliers with the black safety pin! I am looking forward to sending these down range and if all is well, will be putting a new order in before they are out of stock again."

"Sealed can of 2013 LC XM193 Ammo. As described. Only rated 4 bullets because i haven't \"dropped the hammer\" on a round yet. Can/Bandoleer/Stripper Clips/ & Guides all crisp & new. Save me another can!........or 5!"

"I have a long history of purchasing this item. It's clean and packaged in stripper clips. Easy to load and no firing failures. Bulk plastic bag ammo tends to be dirty but this ammo is clean & ready to go. I believe this is the same type of ammo I used while in the Army IN 67-69. Best to order two of these at a time as shipping is a better value."

"Finally after elk and deer season was over with was able to hit the range and gotta say, no issues at all, felt like I was back in the Corps. Clean, accurate, no failures.Order this stuff while its in stock and ditto on mark95man's comment, order at least 2 for the savings on shipping."
