"Purchased this is March 2013. Noticed the brass is missing the NATO headstamp (no circle and cross). It is marked FC 10.I called customer service to ask if this was new stock or old stock (2010). They said they didn't know and I should call Federal? I will rate 2 stars for older brass / older production. I think most buyers would expect the item description on the website to be updated."

"It should be noted that you cannot order a factory sealed case. If you order a case (or 25 boxes) you will receive loose pack broken case lots. Again, they do not stock full factory sealed cases... they cannot mail you a case. It will be a random 25 boxes in a random sized box. (no factory cases)"

"I am going to address the performance of this ammo. First federal has stated that this ammo was made on a military assembly line. It is 2010 production with military hard primers. I use a springfield M1A socom 16\" barrel and hard primers are a must to deter slam fires in fast cycling semi auto rifles. It has a annealed case and a solid backed copper bullet to bust through barriers. It performs flawlessly in my socom. This round has given me a boost in groupings at 100 yards out of my 16\" barrel. I would say at 150 yards in, out of a closer range battle rifle this round is superior to anything else out there. At longer ranges a heavier round would probably be more stable out of my rifle but I can't say for sure because I have not tested this round at longer ranges. This round is dirty compared to polished commercial rounds but is consistent with all other military rounds. I have yet to shoot anything out of my 16\" barrel that has equaled this round. I have shot 100 of these out of my socom without a hitch!"

"For the money, this is accurate and clean. I prefer it over American Eagle, even though it's a dollar or two cheaper. Just ordered more."
