Federal Fusion has drastically reduced the gap between performance and affordability. Federal Fusion is a specialized deer bullet electrochemically joins pure copper to an extreme pressure-formed core to ensure optimum performance. The end result is a high amount of terminal energy on impact that radiates lethal shock throughout the target. Designed to handle everything from tactical operations, to hunting and competition Fusion should be the ammo you reach for first.

"I use it in a model 70. At 100 yards a 3 shot group can be covered with a nickle, at 200 yards a 3 shot group can be covered with a half dollar and whitetails don't take another step. I also use it in 7wsm 70 and 270 win 70 with good results. I just hope that Federal or the gov dosen't jack up the price any more."

"I shot a 190 lb whitetail at 125 yards and hit it at the 7th rib broadside. The bullet didn't fully penetrate. I shot a second round into the chest near the 5th rib broadside and the deer was still on his feet. I had to shoot him a 3rd time in the shoulder to put him down. The deer was dead on his feet but didn't go down until I knocked his feet out from under him. I think the WSM is too fast and the bullet disintegrates when it hits dense tissue going that fast. Without full penetration there was no blood trail but I was able to keep sight of the buck, I wouldn't have been so lucky in dense cover or early season with lots of leaves on the trees."
