"Not a bad way to start a survival kit at a decent price. I bought one, I'll buy one for every member of the family."

"I was very impressed with all the useful things it came with."

"It is worth the price for the whisle and water bottle alone. This is an item that I would suggest adding on to another order that you are making, for the price it's worth it."

"At this price versus a kit made using estimates on the cheapest versions of the same items around the Net, this kit is such a bargain you would be outhouse mouse nuts to not buy this kit. Let me do the math for you:magnesium fire starter = 7.95space blanket = 2.00small penknife = 3.95multi-purpose compass gadget = 5.001 liter bottle (polypropylene?)= 4.95Total: $23.8Enough said?"

"The fire stick and the 7 in 1 survival tool are worth the price alone. Its a great start for a survival kit."

"Worth the price just for items like magnesium fire starter, whistle, and bottle. I\uFFFDve added more stuff to the 2 that I bought. Ziplock bags, small fishing kit, tinder."

"This is a great kit to start with in building a functional survival kit, and you can't beat the price."

"I don't like to toot anybody's horn, but the survival bottle is a good buy even if you don't use their figures. Add a water filter straw, a scarf, and tin cup and you have a swell little kit for about thirty dollars. I wrapped my bottle in a camo scarf and tucked it in a large tin cup and stuck the whole works in a food bag. Of course I put a couple of coffee singles, a couple of boullion cubes, and some t.p. from an mre in the bottle."

"This is a great kit for the money, with some good essentials-the blanket, the fire starter, the whistle/compass, and the bottle itself, with plenty of room left for more gear. I added a Bosun's Whistle, and Aquamira Frontier water filter, purification tabs, a Bic lighter, some para cord, a second knife, some vitamin tabs, and food bar. It all fit in the bottle, which is watertight and dust proof. Small enough to fit anywhere, with good basics, room for more gear, and all for $10? Get one!"

"The value of this kit is simply incredible. The money one would pay to obtain these items separately would be twice the cost (or more) than what CTD is charging. I just hope I can resist expanding the towel before I actually need it."

"The magnesium starter with saw blade is worth the money. Everything else is great too. Add some h2o purifiers, hand warmers, bic lighter, or anything else that will fit in the bottle. You will have a great survival kit. I wouldn't use the knife though. Go ahead and get a Swiss Army Knife instead."

"The survival bottle is worth the money. The fire starter and whistle alone are worth that. The storage space in the whistle is really too small to put anything in and the knife isn't strong. You would be better of with a Swiss Army knife. There is plenty of room in the bottle to add some of your own things. I just ordered mine 24 hours ago and it's already here! If you were to buy these things by themselves it is going to be high, so add more gear to outway the shipping cost. Get one, you won't be disappointed."

"This is a steal at the price. I was surprised how much other stuff could fit inside the bottle beyond what was already there. The Magnesium fire starter is worth the price itself. Bottle is made of durable thick plastic."

"Best deal for a start to a bug out kit. I bought 4. I will buy more. All items are good. Must have for anyone getting ready for the bad stuff on the way. Thanks CTD."

"I just got this kit today. the items are quality although the knife, as some have said, is a bit small and unsteady. I will be replacing it with a small multi-tool. However, the knife works great in a first aid kit if you need to cut bandages with the scissors or pull splinters with the tweezers. I'd recommend leaving it in the kit if you plan on putting in first aid items. Also the saw on the fire-starter is great. use the small end to opposite the lanyard loop to quickly shave off magnesium from the stick to make a kindling pile! Awesome Buy."

"Get one for each car. Cheap insurance, good quality, fair price!"

"It's a solid enough bottle with a good seal. The knife inside is junk but the rest is just fine. Throw a few more goodies in it, particularly a first aid kit and a better knife, and you've got a nice kit for minimal price. Throw a bag in it too, so that if you did have to use it you could store water in the bottle and gear in the bag. It all fits; it a huge bottle."

"I bought four of these kits for the family to each have one. The bottle is strong and works good like the others say the knife is crap its something to give to your 6 year old. I've put in a multi-tool and a few other goodies. I haven't tried the fire starter in the kit yet but it looks sound. I like this product for the size and most of the items in keep one in the car and in your bag for that just in-case moment."

"For the price, this little kit can't be beat. Nothing in the kit appears to be of great quality, but it all seems to be OK. Bought one to throw in the wife's car. The knife is junk. It would probably cut a thin rope or plastic tubing, but that's about it. I would suggest adding a plastic bag to the kit to hold all the other items in case you needed to use the water bottle. I would also add a little LED flashlight just in case. It would be hard to piece together a kit like this yourself and keep it under $10. So save yourself the time and hassle and just buy this one instead. You can't go wrong."

"Great cheap starter kit. I put one in all of my vehicles and give them out as a kind of Good Samaritan gift. I've added some things over time to kind of round out this kit. Worth the buy."
