"ordered this on a Thurs got it sat. once installed i found it does not work well with standard steel ak mags. the metal spine in the back of the mag hits it as you try to extract the mag, but it works great with polymer mags. if you are generally an ar15 guy you will find it is a bit easier to do mag changes with your ak since this makes it possible to use the mag release with your trigger finger simulating the ergos of an ar. it does have a small part that sticks out of the bottom that still allows you to do tactical reloads using other mags to knock out the empty ones. since i am a right handed shooter i modified mine by shaving off the bottom platform creating only a paddle on the left side making it easier to do one handed mag changes with my left hand. only 3 bullets do to the fact that it sucks to try and use steel mags with it you could do some shaving on your mag or the polymer it self but why should you have to if it is made for ak's? shouldn't they have thought about that?"

"It makes for easier mag removal, especially with 5-10rd mags, without permanent modification. It works with my ribbed mags no problem. Don't install too high on the existing release or ribbed mags may jam. This worked for me: push onto existing release only just until the front set screw hole is covered, hold in place, tighten rear screws first, then front. It sits a little too far away to use my index finger for mag removal, so it gets a 4."

"I ordered this mostly out of necessity as my AK's release lever was so tight I sometimes needed to hit it with something to release my mags when I first purchased it. After I installed this quick magazine removal lever I no longer had any problem thanks to the extra leverage and ease of use it provides. Using my index finger to release from the side is difficult but that seems mostly due to my AK's release lever. The look it gives my AK is pretty sweet too."

"No instructions. Figured it out but it looked weird. Fell off at the range. Don't bother with this crap. Great service from CTD,though."

"I bought this for my WASR and I love it. As mentioned above, there were no instructions. It doesn't matter though. If you have any common sense and thirty seconds of patience it is easy to install. It works great and makes those high strength releases easy to use. Buy it."

"I bought this for my WASR10 and it fit nicely but the set screws worked terribly and did not grab and stay on it fell off and included no instructions, I would recommend a metal part that requires a little gunsmithing and drilling on the magazine release lever those are great and fit secure and are simple and yet well built."

"Hours is obviously exaggerated, and this is a solid bit, holds tight, and adds to the look if you are attempting to buy every possible bold on mod available. However it is supposed to facilitate quick and easy mag changes,in my case upon installation rather than help, it made removing the magazine impossible. I finally resorted to uninstalling said item by loosening the 3 set screws 1/4 turn at a time while depressing the latch in order to expose the screws. This was long and tedious process that I would hope to help others avoid with this warning. it may work with others, but why take the chance, save your $$."
