"Purchased item because the mag release paddle on my AK was exceptionally tight and made it near impossible to disengage the magazine. I was hoping the extra leverage this item would provide would do the trick. It did just that. However, it would seem this item was designed with rib-less polymer mags in mind. With a ribbed, metal magazine inserted, the rib prevents the mag release paddle from pivoting enough to drop the mag. Since this thing cannot be removed with a magazine in the mag well, it creates an interesting scenario. I gave it two bullets because it did work for what I needed. I should think if one was to use only polymer mags it would work very nicely."

"I've purchased, installed, and used two of these. They are easy to install, fit correctly, and work great. A simple, inexpensive add-on that improves the functionality of the AK platform."

"As stated by others as it came it will not work with steel rib magazines and barely with steel drum mags as the bottom tip hits on one of the drums ribs. I took a Dremal cut off wheel and cut down a channel to allow room for the ribs on the steel mags. I also had to slightly grind down the allen set screw as it is right in the middle. I also shaved down a very small section of the lower tip to keep it from hitting the drum magazine. I decided to also use locktite on the set screw as a precaution. The piece now works flawlessly with all types of magazines. I highly recommend it for an Ak47 if you are able to make these modifications. Has been a great help with my PAP Pistol."

"Got this for my WASR 10/63 awhile ago. Installing it was easy and it seemed to work just find. I practiced reloading several times with it on and found that it made the process a lot easier. However, I started noticing problems once I started shooting. It would loosen and eventually fall off after shooting the rifle a few times. I tightened everything down as much as I could to keep it in place but it would continue to fall off after a magazine or two. Overall seems like a great drop-in part to help assist in reloading but it doesn't stand up to sustained shooting and I wouldn't trust it in a fight."

"Im only giving it 4stars because, there were no instructions in the packaging(and it is that obvious how it mounts), and I'd like to see it made of metal. I put it on last night did a few mag changes with it(cold), and I tried to pull it off because Im skeptical of it staying on. So far just practicing mag changes and deliberately trying to pull it off, its stayed on pretty solid. We'll see how it goes after a few hundred rounds"

"Although it's bigger than the regular AK magazine paddle it's not so big were caught up on gear or wedding or anything like that. Easy to understand installation instructions and comes with the tools and doesn't jiggle once completed can't really find anything negative concerning this product.if you have an AK buy this or something like it"

"Couldn't be happier I have a Century arms centurion 39. it fits great really easy to put on and it works great too. I have always felt that the pushbutton mag release on A.R. 15's is the one thing that separates A.R.'s from AK-47 but with this device I feel like I leveled the playing field. I like it a lot it works great for me I would recommend it for anyone with AK-47"
