Daniel Defense uses the slogan "lighter, stronger, better" to describe their line of top quality rifles. Designed to meet the needs of competition shooters as well as tactical and defensive applications, the V9 features a soft-shooting mid-length gas system which has a smoother recoil pulse, allowing quick but precise rapid fire. The long 15" DDM4 quad rail allows the operator to have the support hand close to the muzzle to drive the gun precisely and prevent overtravel when engaging multiple targets. This rifle also comes with the newly designed, rugged and comfortable Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol Grip.
