Carried and used by Czech infantrymen for filling sandbags and digging foxholes, these short shovels were prized for their small size and durable build.
Overall length of the shovel is 24" with a spade portion that measures a generous 8.5" by 6.5". The hardwood handle has a beefy diameter of approximately 1.25" and has been machine pressed into the heavyweight, welded steel spade.
The adjustable, heavyduty leather carrier is stitched and then reinforced with steel brads. Small steel buckles secure the spade head into the sheath and allows for quick removal without having to remove the sheath from your belt or pack.
These small shovels and sheaths are very well thought out and designed with years of use in mind. All shovels are used in excellent condition.
