The Original K.I.S.S., with its Tanto-inspired blade and bead-blast finish, is the revolutionary high-tech statement by Knifemakers' Guild member and K.I.S.S. designer "Daddy K.I.S.S." Ed Halligan. It stands for "Keep It Super Simple." It's one honey of a knife, precision fine blanked for superior fit and smooth operation. Features an integral frame lock, and a breakthrough design which seals the cutting edge against the handle.

A thumb stud is used to one-hand open the blade, and as the blade is fully rotated open, the frame lock snaps crisply in behind the blade to give a sound lockup. The blade can be closed with one hand, simply by releasing the frame lock.

The Original K.I.S.S. blade shape is Tanto-inspiredChisel-Point grind on the front and flat on the backsideso that when the blade is closed onto its handle/frame, the precision fit effectively "seals" the cutting edge to the frame, even though it's exposed. Both Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edge grinds are available. Both blade and frame are 420J2 stainless steel in a fine bead-blast finish.

The design of the K.I.S.S. series pocket/money clip permits them to be used in a variety of ways: clipped to the pocket; as a money clip knife; and with split-ring or lanyard, as a key chain knife.

"I dealt knives for 20-25 years and got to know them pretty well. The knife that was in my pocket ALWAYS was a CRKT Kiss with a tanto blade. It made a dandy money clip and with minimal effort it took care of all my cutting needs. It never happened but I always thought I could make a pretty bad day for a guy who wanted my money, safely stashed inside my KISS, doing its double duty as a razor/money clip. For all all the years I carried it, it never lost its edge and the only wear it showed was minimal wear around the edges of the frame, the finish getting a little shine from being hauled everywhere all the time. Then one recent dark day it dissappeared. I was not happy. So if you ever find a KISS holding a wad of twenties, it is mine. I am taking care of this loss tonight and am buying a new one and unless I face another similar loss, this next one will last me until it is time for me to fall into that big sleep where I am told I won't need money or knives anymore."

"This is a great knife.... I'm no expert just a critical customer. I bought it to be used as a general duty/everyday pocket knife. The knife is well manufactured with good quality control. It seems like it will stand up through the test of time. The knife is very well designed, and you can tell that a lot of thought, and time was put into the design. When it's fully opened, it locks into place very securely making it very safe. When closed, it lines up with a ball bearing, keeping it closed. Preventing it from opening in your pocket. This knife is well worth the money, and I would highly recommend it. I have owned several knives over the years, and this is by far the least expensive, best deisgned, money can buy knife."
