"Let me start by stating that this is a decent stock if all you plan to do with your AR15 is sharp shooting. However, it fails in almost any other aspect, especially when mounted on an M4. This is NOT a tactical stock. It's mechanically flawed and ergonomically wrong:1. The neck, or tube, closest to the charging handle, is somehow thicker than the OEM collapsable stock. this causes the charging handle hit the edge of the tube and in some cases will be real obstacle in the way of the charging handle. Not good in real life situations. 2. Unless you have the hands of a 6 year old, it's nearly impossible to operate the firearm with the stock collapsed and the rear monopod retracted. the monopod clears the grip by only about an inch, making for an improper and painful grip.3. the collapsing mechanism is a poorly designed, both mechanically and ergonomically. the release button is hard to find and hard to operate. Worse, the release fails to hold in place 3 out of 4 tries and the stock collapses on firing. 4. Two aluminum adapter plates came with this kit, they should fit into the buffer tube. None fitted into my bushmaster , I had to grind one 1/8\" on each end to make it fit. This stock design has a lot of potential but it fell short of my expectations. I would love to hear from CAA about any changes they may implement."

"As for the previous reviewer anyone who buys a stock in this design is mainly going to use it for target and sharpshooting hence the reason to buy a stock with a monopod. When not using the monopod I leave it in the 45 degree position thus getting rid of the grip issues. I personally love the stability the monopod gives my AR. I have this four bullets do to the fact that as the previous reviewer stated it is not always easy to lock this stock into its extended position, it takes some time working it to get it down. No fitment issues upon install, charging handle clears just fine."
