The CMMG Drop In .22 LR AR15 Conversion Kit is what you need to turn your AR-15 rifle into a plinking machine. This conversion kit converts a standard .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO chambered AR-15 into .22 Long Rifle, allowing you to practice without spending a fortune at the range. The magazine holds 25 rounds of ammunition. For best performance use a round style hammer as notched hammers can cause function issues. CMMG recommends using 36 grain plated nose bullets as they have proven to be the best choice for function.

"I just received this last night and took it out to try this morning. It was used in a Colt M4 1:9 twist with Remington Viper ammo. Iron sights were used at 50 yards. Accuracy would be about 3-4 MOA, which is most likely more to my aging eyes than the accuracy of the weapon. The only failing was a failure to fire, twice in about 75 rounds. Good primer strikes. So, I am attributing it to the ammunition. Well built and fun to shoot. I am planning on using it as an inexpensive way to practice with my Colt M4. I would recommend it to anyone with an AR-15 platform."

"Excellent product. Welds were well done, finish was excellent, and performance is also excellent (tested). I expect no problems in the future with this product."

"Received on Thur (3 days after order) and fired 525 rds on Sat. 100% - repeat 100% reliability. The accuracy is better than my Ruger 10/22 - less than 3\" at 100yds using standard Remington .22LR - amazing!!! One (minor) COMPLAINT - 1 mag holds 21 rds; the other 2 mags hold 20 rds. 20 rds is enough. Because of the accuracy and reliability I still give it 5 bullets."
