The CMMG Drop In .22 LR AR15 Conversion Kit is what you need to turn your AR-15 rifle into a plinking machine. This conversion kit converts a standard .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO chambered AR-15 into .22 Long Rifle, allowing you to practice without spending a fortune at the range. The magazine holds 25 rounds of ammunition. For best performance use a round style hammer as notched hammers can cause function issues. CMMG recommends using 36 grain plated nose bullets as they have proven to be the best choice for function.

"I have only used once but am very impressed. Fired 100 rounds through Bushmaster AR15. Used cheaper Blazer ammo with no misfires. FYI Subsonic ammo will jam about every 10 rounds."

"Love it, worked so far wo issue with 250 rounds of .22 LR 40 grain. Hoping it will continue to work well as i plan on putting thousands of more rounds through it This will pay for itself quickly with savings on .22 over .223 ammo , with quick easy change out to go back to .223 when i wish to Customer service is also good here"

"Every time I fired a round, the bullet would get lodged in the chamber… I tried adjusting my new scope while resting the gun’s mag on the shooting table. Every round got hung up. The mag was just loose enough to misaligned the bullet extractor and ingestion mechanism. Once I shot standing up, the conversion kit worked perfectly. So, if you buy a conversion kit, DON’T prop the gun up on the mag and it will shoot perfectly every time."
