"I was looking through firearms and decided I wanted a plinking/Target pistol that wouldnt break my bank account. I found the Chipmunk pistols and decided to go with the Chipmunk Hunter Pistol .17 HMR 10.5\" Barrel Single Shot Laminated Wood Grip with Stainless Steel Barrel. I was first impressed with the fast shipping from Cheaper Than Dirt. My FFL reciever called just a few days after he sent lic. info and aid it was ready to be picked up. When I got it the Front sight had come loose but the screw and sight were both in the box. I used lite thread lock and put it back on. No big deal. I did subtract a point because a few more screws were loose so I would suggest checking all of the screws before shooting. I took it by the Range and shot about 15 rounds of Hornady through it. Right out of the box at 25 yards it was about 1/4 inch high with a 1/2 in group. I moved to 75 yards and it was almost dead on with a 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch group. This is only using the fiber optic glow sights that came on the gun. The kick is minimal and easy to handle. The gun feels good in my hand and I have large hands. The stock is very smooth and the stainless barrel is very nice and refined. The Glo Sights are really cool and look great on this gun. The bolt is a little odd looking and small. The operation is a little loose but when in forward locked position it is solid and feels good. The cocking handle feels a little grabby but never failed to have a smooth firm tap when fired. The trigger is flat across the finger area and it feels OK but should be slightly rounded for comfort. Triger pull is fantastic. There is a smooth positive and predictable. It has a light pull and I am guessing about 3 lbs pull. Very nice but be ready to shoot when you put your finger on that trigger. Safe but lite pull. I rate this a 4 star only because of the screws being loose. I am very pleased and can't wait to go back to the range. Great bargan at this price."
