"Bought one of these to check my AR when switching from my day optic to my night optic. Seems to work great from what I can see so far."

"I bought two of these, one for my 223 AR's, one for my 9mm carbine. They do exactly what they are advertised to do, namely zeroing in for your sights/mounted lasers. I have two minor concerns - (1) the batteries are tiny and hard for us big guys to handle with our big clumsy fingers, and (2) there doesn't seem to be an on/off switch on the item itself, so once the batteries are in and the cap screwed on the laser is also on. To turn off the laser you have to take the batteries back out and put them back in their tiny box compartment. Therefore, I would not reccomend using these bore sights out in the field unless you are extremely nimble with your fingers."

"I bought one of these for my DPMS AR-15 carbine. This bore sight is easy to use and does exactly what it is supposed to do. However, you are pretty much limited to 25 yards in the daylight.Nevertheless, with the cost of ammo, its a smart buy. I dialed my laser sight right in and saved a bunch of ammo. The pouch it comes in a nice, but it would be better if there was a pocket for the small batteries, which have to be removed to turn the unit off. Great item."

"Awesome product, saved alot of time and bullets. Only downside was the batteries that came with the laser died after only a few minutes of use so you might want to get buy a few extra."

"Product worked very well however the batteries provided lasted only 30 min. I wish the provided pouch had a place to keep spare batteries. It also needs an on/off switch."

"while it won't dial your scope in exactly it gets you mighty close. it is perfect for getting a rough dial after putting your scope on. it dials in exactly as far as side to side, but cannot compensate for bullet drop. put the batteries in backwards for storage"

"This was a great little product. The batteries seemed fine and i was able to zero my scope in pretty quickly without wasteing expensive ammo."

"This needs an on/off switch. It would also have been nice if CTD could have given us more batteries. This thing sucks the life out of these 2 batteries fast!"
4.0 5
"Could use an on/off switch, but does its job well."

"I agree with what most have said. An on/off switch would make it easier, but I just reversed the batteries to store them without issue. Best to have some extra batteries on hand. Would be nice to have a pouch on the carrying case to put extra batteries. Regardless, it's a good purchase."

"For the price, it's not bad at all. No on/off switch is an aggravation if you have big fingers trying to remove those itty bitty batteries, and the case is B.S. just there to drive up the price. Fortunately it worked well right out of the box and does exactly as it is supposed to. Far more accurate than a standard bore sighter or those lasers that fit into the end of the barrel. Would've given 5 bullets if it was cheaper, you can get laser pointers at the dollar store these days, just being chamberable doesn't justify the cost... still, not a bad product overall."

"So far so good, this thing actually will save you a lot of ammo. You can adjust the scope as you look right through it. This will be a huge help when scoping my AR's. Its hard to find a bore sight tool that works. I gave it 4 bullets because by the time you pay for shipping it's more than I wanted to pay."

"Works great. Helps you sight your rifle in quick and easy. Buy it"

"Great product overall. Nice quality build. Laser is very bright. There is no on/off switch. You have to remove the batteries to turn the unit off. It's really not a big deal and easy to do. Comes with a nice pouch that holds the cartridge as well as the batteries. I would buy again."
4.0 5
"The only bad thing about this is that you have to buy them individually. I wish they put in a packet of 3 at a discount. But this bore sight is a must have if you change sights."
5.0 5
"All these sights are great, but lots of folks complain about the batteries when not in use. Simply turn the last battery around, and replace the end cap. Your batteries are stored safe and secure in the laser and the laser is off."

"This product works as stated. However, it has no off switch, so you must take out one of the batteries, invert it, and put it back in to shut it off. I wish I bought this right when I bought my rifle. I sent 100 rounds downrange just to get it on the paper; this bore sight would have saved me a lot of money."

"Like other reviewers have said, there is no off switch for this product. You have to take the batteries out, flip them around, and screw the battery cover back in to turn it off. Other than that, it comes with a nice little case to hole multiple boresights and other small tools, I will soon be adding a boresight for my .38 Special Ruger LCR with Crimson Trace Grips to line up my handle laser. I used this product in my S&W M&P-15 PSX model, worked flawlessly. I would have saved about $45 in ammo if I had this to start off with. NEW GUN AR-15 OWNERS: IF YOU PLAN ON USING A SCOPE, BUY THIS BORESIGHT; IT WILL SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY BY NOT HAVING TO WASTE ROUNDS BY NOT EVEN HITTING THE PAPER LIKE I DID. I SHOT 200 ROUNDS DOWNRANGE, MISSED THE PAPER EVERY TIME AND THEN GOT FRUSTURATED AND BOUGHT THIS. FOUND OUT I WAS SHOOTING 3 FEET ABOVE THE TARGET. AFTER I DISCOVERED THAT, IT WAS A 30 SECOND FIX AND I HAD 2\" GROUPING AFTER 20 MINUTES. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE IN EVERY NEW SHOOTERS GEAR BAG. ALONG WITH A ROUND EXTRACTOR...BUT THAT'S FOR ANOTHER REVIEW."

"I don't know what that guy was complaining about. I got sighted in right off. The case will hold two of these, which let me put the 9mm and .223 in one pouch. I don't find the lack of an on/off to be an issue. Just flip the end battery around for storage."

"This is just o.k. This must be used at an indoor range and the dot is barly visable,BUT you will get on the paper. Also the light is not exactly centered in the cartridge."

"Saves time and Money. This product did the job as advertised. Is there anything more to say?"

"This little tool saved me time at the range, not to mention saved ammo. If I had one complaint, it would be no ON/OFF switch. But for what it is, it works perfectly."
4.0 5
"This is a great tool. Only complaint I have is that the battery life is too short."
5.0 5
"This little guy gets top rating due to the fact there is nothing else on the market at this price that can do what it does. I've mananged to dent mine up so bad I have to buy another (used it a lot). The battery life can be upgraded by purchasing silver-oxide AG5 batteries instead of the alkalines that come with it. It would be awesome if CTD offered those batteries, but they can usually be found where watch batteries are sold."

"If you ever get one piece of non-essential equipment for your rifle, get this little jewel. This thing will get you on paper the first trip to the range. It works. It's basic and simple enough. Get it."
4.0 5
"Great product at a great price. Does the job a lot better than the other one size fits all products out there. Will get you pretty close so all you need is minor adjustments at the range. Would be perfect if you could turn it off without removing the batteries."
5.0 5
"Great tool! It's simple physics, it works. If you have an AR, you probably have more than one sight/scope system. This saves money."

"This product worked well with my AR-15 (5.56X45mm). With this product you will save a minimum of 20 rounds of ammunition and many times double that just to get your sights or optics aligned close. I sighted in my new red dot optic and green laser combo at the same time to 50 yards in about 20 minutes, once the rifle was secured in a my gun vise. A good value."
