"I bought this because I wanted a big military rifle, but didn't have a lot of money. Bought this from CTD and arrived very quickly packed well. The gun is unissued, and was packed in cosmoline for maybe 40-50 years so needs a LOT of cleaning. However I think it is a gorgeous gun. Nice classic look. I also bought the Tapco stock and magazines, but I am now second guessing whether I want to mod it, I love the look so much. My local gun shop had beat up shorter barrel ones w/no bayonet for $400-$450 and don't compare to this. For this price I might buy another to hold onto and one as a general use practice/target gun along with my .22. Love the gun, great value for the price. I bought it as a cheap gun to fool around with and something that would be dependable and rugged. The SKS is kinda like having a really nice but rugged pick up truck. This ain't no trailer queen."

"I had been comparing prices for YUGO SKS's for some time and I decided to take a shot with CTD having had great resuts with them previously. I expected a decent gun in resonable condition which would match the price tag. What I got was a new condition firearm in cosmoline that appeared to be unissued and kept in long term storage. The bluing is 100% and the wood has insignificant marks that seem to be storage contact marks. The description says that there is no cleaning rod but the one that I received had one. Also, in the bottom of the box was what appeared to be packing material, (which I almost threw out) when I took a closer look I found a Cleaning kit (buttstock tye), Brass Oil Bottle with leather pouch, pull through and double leather ammo pouch big enough to take 10 stipper clips. What a great bonus! Yet again CTD exceeds expectations."
