"Picked this up from my FFL last night, and took a while to assemble it. The clasp mechanism that holds the forearm and grip to the barrel was full of wood splinters and shavings that were still attached to the roughly finished inside of said forend. The gun also required a good cleaning before assembly. Finally, it seems that the ejector is without a spring, so only gravity lifts the shells free of the breech. The gun initially seemed to stick when attempting to open the breech, even when unloaded. After a few shots, it seemed to break in and now opens much easier when unloaded. However, it seems to stick after firing about 1/2 the time, which is disturbing. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out what is catching and preventing smooth operation of the breech soon. All that said, I love the size. The exterior of the furniture is nicely finished and looks great. The sling swivels are a nice touch that I just might end up using. Although I've already noted some wear from the rabbit ear hammers, at this price, you'll be hard pressed to find another coach gun with external hammers.-1 (and 1/2 if they'd let me) bullet for the sticky breech, and the inability to lock both hammers together to allow firing of both barrels at once."

"Picked this gun up from my FFL this morning. Assembly is a cinch: place barrel on receiver assembly and lock, lift lever on forward stock and seat on barrel, lock forward stock lever. Everything was nice and tight. Barrel breaches easily and locks positively. Shell ejection is a simple push and not spring loaded eject style. Both hammers are good and strong and can be cocked at the same time. After pulling the trigger, they return to a locked half-trigger position. The safety is thumb actuated and is to the rear of the break lever.I am very pleased with the quality of workmanship and will probably get another."
