"I purchased a Galil or Gonali Sporter from CTD. Great transaction, very smooth. Rifle receiver is new and forged, not stamped as service Galils and AK's are. The internal parts are used as these rifles are constructed using old Galil parts. The bolt and carrier amd recoil spring were all in great shape although used. You should note that the top receiver cover which houses the rear site is a extremely tight fit when you attempt to place it back on the receiver. When you remove it you may find it very difficult to put back without alot of effort. I did. I used a dremmel tool and removed about 1mm of the cover steel to thwart this problem. Despite the Galil or AK series weapons reputations, they do require cleaning and maintenance. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and feel like I got a deal with this weapon. I will write another review after zeroing the weapon and inform you of my conclusions."
