"I used these to hold five rounds of ammo right on shotgun stock, easy to reach and reload your gun quickly. We carry our buckshot in these so we can reload for deer hunting in heavy cover."
"very useful for hunting"
– butt cuff ammo holder
"This is not only a nice, but necessary item, for it is easy to use, and one does not have to search pockets for their next reload. I have it on all my shotguns and would like to put it on my rifles, if only CTD would apply pressure on ACE to manufacture them for our rifles. I suppose that one could stretch the elastic, with a form, then sew a line down the center of it, and reduce the size of the holder from shotgun size shells, to those with which he hunt. Good idea guys, run with it. Also try the Bandoleer, but only load every other loop, unless you lift weights and enjoy the workout. They hold about two boxes of shells, but I came to hunt, or shoot skeet and not to wage war! One box is adequate!"

"Works great. Holds the shells tight and fits well on the gun. For $5 its well worth it. I just tacked it onto an order I was already placing and the shipping stayed the same."
"Don't waste your money, even $5. Unit doesn't stretch, will not fit over the butt of the shotgun. You would have to take the stock off to get it on, I am not going to waste my time with it. Unit is much too tight to stretch over stock. Would send back for refund, but not worth it."
"another review said that it doesn't fit because it doesn't stretch much. i had the same problem till i realized all that u have to do is hold the elastic strap out of the way and slide it over the barrel and gun backwards. Then simply stretch the elastic around the stock."
"Its a good ammo holder, A good choice if your on a small budget only minor slipage of the cuff . Holds shell in place no problem . Next time Ill buy the neoprene cuff GREAT JOB CTD"
"Very easy to install in about 15 seconds from the barrel end. Gave it a good tryout at the range with my Remington 870 on my shotgun bowling league. Easy to snatch a round from the cuff to drop in the chamber, other rounds hold secure. A great add on for home defense to double the number of rounds you have when you grab your gun. BTW - I'm right handed, but if you're a leftie, this one is made for the right side of the gun."
"Bought this for my shotgun and I'm very impressed. Simple to install, holds shells well, and most importantly it doesn't ride up on the stock when shooting. It has replaced a much more expensive butt cuff that wouldn't stay put. Not as sturdy as the tough ones I used in the marines, but for the price, and what I intend to use it for, it is perfect."
"Great ammo holder, is flexible and is easy to put shells in and out. Isn't as sturdy as something higher price but doesn't really matter. Only problem is no instructions with it but it's easy to figure out slid on from barrel down (I had to take off the barrel to get it to fit)."

"Great item for the price, was easy to install... (LMAO at the guy with the view a little ways down, thinking you slide it on from the stock). Holds shells in place very nice, install on my Remington 870 18ich Tactical.... Way to go CTD"
– Ray L.
"As soon as I got it on my gun I noticed that two seams were half unraveled."
"Took a whopping 5 min to install, even with taking the stock off. Nice fit on the stock and holds shells well. Going to be hard to beat for the price."
"Folks, install this from the barrel end. Its mind boggling how many people have tried to install from the fattest part of the gun, and have taken off stocks, etc. Just slide it over the barrel backwards. It will take you 30 secs. Its a very good product. It was genius for them to put a band in the back to prevent the cuff from riding up... most others don't do that."
"Works great, but if you have a butt pad or recoil pad on the stock it will make getting the loop around the butt of the stock somewhat more difficult. It took lots of pulling and yanking to get it on properly, also due in part to additional buttstock rubber. The seam is sewn on the outward aspect (i.e. the part everybody sees) and did start unraveling before I was finished. I presume if I had no extra buttstock mods it would have fit with no problems. Does look great on my Mossberg Maverick 88. Four bullets due to unraveling issue."
"Safe way to have shells and gun ready to grab. I put one on my old hammer double and one on my pump. To those unable to get them on their butt,(stock) stock... start at the end of the barrel and pass the gun through the cuff. Looks nifty, priced thrifty, zombie ready!"

"I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY MOSSBERG 835 12 GAUGE AND IT CAME ON THE ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE. DO NOT PUT ON FROM THE BACK OFF THE STOCK IT WILL NOT FIT. JUST MOVE THE LITTLE STRAP OUT OF THE WAY AND SLIDE IT DOWN THE BARREL. IT IS VERY WELL BUILT, NICE AND HEAVY DUTY BUT ONE LITTLE THREAD CAME HALF UNRAVELD. OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A GREAT PRUDUCT. WOULD BUY AGAIN AND RECOMED TO OTHERS!!!"
– COUNTRY BOB
"With all the positive reviews on here, I assume I just got a lemon. The stitching on 3 of the 6 shell holders started coming undone just from test inserting shells into them. When I installed it onto the gun the stitching on the elastic loop around the butt stock completely unraveled along with the first shell loop immediately turning it into a 5 shell holder. At this point I just removed it and put my previous heavier-duty 5 shell holder back on."
"THIS THING WORKS GREAT FOR THE MONEY. BETTER THAN HOLDING THE SHELLS IN YOUR POCKET."
"Definitely install this over the barrel end of the gun. It went on in about a minute and I experienced ZERO unravelling. This product is good for the price and it seems very durable. Its great to have 6 extra shells right on board the gun when you pick it up!"
"This item does a decent job of keeping extra shells handy vs digging in your pocket. Ummm, the build quality is alil cheap though. It definitally isn't worth the money, maybe at half the price. I just feel I overpayed for this item is all. Overall its a decent item. I say 3/5 Bullets. Oh, as for the other guys that had that unraveling problem with theirs, bummer. So far, mine hasn't....... yet."
– Whiskey Tan9o
"this functioned great as a way to have six extra shells handy you should install it over the barrel end and not over the butt stock as this will not work just slide it over the barrel and it installs in a few seconds."
"this is a great way to hold six extra shells i recommend it to any body who wants a god holder oh and Andrew i dont think your supposed to slip it over the stock it works a lot better to slip it over the barrel and down the gun."
"at first i thought this was great then i went for a walk in the woods and two of the shells fell out on the way but other it was fairly decent."
"Very useful product. I had to make a small hole in the bottom to allow for my swivel stud, but that helps hold the cuff in place."
– Casey KY
"This shell holder is much, much better than a side saddle holder. It is also one third the price of a side saddle. I like the fact that you can install or remove it quickly. A side saddle requires more time and tools to install or remove. It fits tight on my stock and strong enough without being too bulky. Good value and CDT delivered within three days."
"Just received mine ( FAST ! ). I have a WIN. 1300 pump. After reading reviews here,I concluded that this is the best way to install CUFF without causing damage to it; REMOVE stock , slide CUFF on; adjust, install stock; and my friend, 5 minutes, presto..!! Very happy with CUFF..CTD great product.!!"
"I installed this correctly - from the barrel end...but when sticking the shells into the loops...I noticed the sewing coming undone already....for this price it gives you a solution for a while...with repeated use, this thing is not going to hold up....get one of the receiver mounted hard unit if you want a real deal Apocolypse set up. Overall, for the money it does something for an emergency home defense situation, but maybe not for more than a few uses....it will tear apart."
– Bowie Cat
"A great accessory and a great deal for my 870 along with a 6 round sidesaddle, I now have 12 additional rounds of ammo. MOLON LABE !!!"
"This is a good product. I have no problems with it, but now that I have it I wish I gotten one of the plastic side saddle holders as it just looks like it could be cooler."
"Looks great on my Remington m887 Nitromag snug fit, but overall great product!"
– m887 NITROMAG
"Works as advertised on my Remington 870P, and the price is great! Just remember, that in order to slip it on your (unloaded) shotgun's stock, you must start from the muzzle end, or else you won't be able to get it on at all (tight fit!)."
"This is a great little sleeve that fit right over my shotgun stock. It doesn't move much and gives me six extra shells. Great use for little money!"
"Fits right on to my Mossberg 500 stock with no problems, 'installs' in seconds, and the loop that goes over the recoil pad is actually a pretty good working idea. Holds 12ga shells firmly even with brass down, great product."
"I got it on the gun and almost in place. I'd think about relocating your sling stud further towards the recoil pad on the buttstock, if you get this for a Mossberg 590."
"Fits snug on my Hawk 982. Holds shells firmly in place. Threads all in good shape. No unraveling at all! Very happy with my purchase."
"Ordered this product and got it in 1 day. Easy to install and removal for cleaning."
"Worked perfectly for a 3-gun match using my Mossberg 590, even flipped to the left side (I shoot lefty). Note: you do NOT have to remove the stock to install this... just slip it over the front of your shotgun (you know... the narrow bit) and slide it back. :)"
"This butt cuff isn't cheap, but it does a good job of holding more ammo than other cuffs. It stays on the shotgun butt with minimal to no shifting."
– Mr. T
"I bought this for my Mossy 500A and it fit perfectly. I like that it holds 6 shells. It is a nice addition to my tactical setup. I would recommend this to everyone that wanted to add a tactical look to your shotgun. I took the advice of other reviews by sliding it over the barrel instead of removing the stock to install it. I was a lot quicker and no need for tools."
"I waited to write a review after I shot with it on. Ok, this feels great. Doesnt seem like it will fall apart anytime soon, holds my 3 inch shells evenly and snug. Love it. I also have the 6 round side saddle so get that also if you are into target shooting and even more so for home defence. BUY IT!!!"

"prod. in perfect cond. fit my mossberg 930 spx 12 gauge great...."
"wow like im impressed. I got 2 of these for my 20 gauge double barrel and my 12 gauge pump, these buttcuffs make your gun look mean. I highly recommend these to everyone, if you are concerned about shipping prices buy some ammo and other stuff and it will all come in one box. I ordered a monte carlo stock for my mosin nagant, one of these and a bunch of rounds for only 100 dollars. Great deal"
"I opted for one of these over a sidesaddle since I am left handed. This cuff can easily be swapped around to the other side of the stock and still be used for quick reloads. It fits very snug and doesn't move while shooting with my Remington 887 Nitro Mag Tactical, even with 3 1/2 inch shells. Highly recommend."
"First. I ordered this on a Thursday afternoon and was shocked to see the Fed Ex man pull up in my driveway on Friday afternoon. That was FAST!!!!!These littel jewels are fantastic. I bought 3 more of them for my other shooters. They fit tight but I like it that way. So far no tearing or fraying of the fabric."
"Make sure you install this from the front of your shotgun, but this thing is a great product for $10. It fits my Rem 870 very well and holds the 12g shells pretty securely (we are talking elastic material here, you won't get the same sturdy hold you see in the plastic side saddles but your shells won't fall out)."
"Originally bought this for my Mossberg 500A, but it ended up on my Super Black Eagle II. I wanted a way to keep some shells ready on my Italian sweetie without screwing it up. goes on with no problem, and does the job incredibly. Another great product!"
"Bought this for a Maverick O/U Tactical shotgun. As this is only a 2 shot gun, the ability to carry extra rounds on the gun is a must. Holds shells securely, and was not difficult to put on at all. Did what another poster did, and bought a few other things to offset shipping costs. All in all a great buy for the money."
"I purchased one of these for my Remington 870 and was initially pleased. Product went on the gun easily and seemed to hold all six shells tightly. However, when I used the shotgun for the first time with this installed, it under-performed. By the end of the session, after shooting 3 inch buckshot, the shells were dislodging and falling out. After one particularly speedy round of firing, all 6 shells were on the ground. It didn't perform well so I went with a different option. As with anything else, you get what you pay for. Speedy shipping as always."
– The Law
"I purchased this item for my wife's single shot 20 guage H&R. It has a nice snug fit and holds the ammo tightly to the stock. She has greater confidence with the ammo readily available on the stock and no longer has to fish around in pockets to reload when she misses her first shot on a deer.....and her second. Good buy, fast shipping."
"Does a fine job of holding on to shells if you're just leaving the shotty sitting in the corner. As soon as you hit the range or go into the field this thing proves to be worthless, any jostling around pushes the shells out depositing them down on the ground."
"First off, on a Hogue buttstock, this is a capitol B to install, if you know what I mean. Because it's so difficult to install, it isn't going anywhere. During shooting, it will NOT rotate or move in any way. Again, that is with a Hogue stock (I can't speak for wood stocks)."
– Donkey McWedges
"These things suck! I was very disappointed for the field test of this shell holder. Put this on my Benelli Super Nova. First shots fired out of my duck blind, and all the shells fell out of the shell holder. Don't waste your money on this!"
"Always pleased with CTD fast shipping, but this cuff is worthless. Tried to place it on my Mossberg 500 stock and it would not fit, to tight, and the loops that hold the shells were not sown good and came undone. Should have just bought a rubber hammer for the $10 bucks and hit myself in the head, at least i would have gotten some use out of the hammer. Sometimes cheap is just cheap."
"I bought one of these to replace a 5 shell field and stream shell holder I originally purchased for use with my Stoeger Coach gun (the supreme model). It's a two shot side by side, so having five spares means I'm one shot short - math. I searched for a good six shell holder of the same quality as the F&S but haven't found one. This is an OK replacement and I like that it has a strap at the back end to keep the cuff from sliding down into the trigger. But, the material is thin and needs to be thicker, and I would like some holes to accommodate the strap clips. I could cut small holes, but I worry that the thin material will eventually give way. Still, for the money, I'll go without the strap for now."
– El Pistolero
"This is a common accessory for rifle and shotgun however this one was made so tight that in order to apply it to the stock you would have to remove the stock on a gun like a Mossberg and slide it on from the front. I however bought it for the MKA and the stock is NOT removable thus it would not work on the gun. Nice that I had a 20 ga that I could put it on. Works good just be sure of your application before you buy."
"i ordered the SHT005 Butt Cuff for my Mossberg Tachnical Shotgun. The fit was tight but the shotshells fit perfectly. I do not have to worry about the shells falling out because the elastic fits tightly around the butt of the shotgun."
– SHT005 Butt Cuff
"I really don't know why it took me so long to order one of these. You just don't realize what you're missing till you get one! As for the guy who said it won't stretch over the butt of the stock... duh, it's not supposed to, if it slides on, then it could slide off. It took me all of 2 minutes to put this holder on, and I know that no matter how hard I jostle the shotgun during live-fire excercises, it aint coming off!"
"Fit real tight (a good thing) on my 20 gauge Mossberg. No problems with retaining the shells in their holders."
