"I mounted this scope on a Thompson Impact with a Talley one piece medium mount. The front of the scope resides approximately 1/4 away from the gun. I had to mount the scope all the way forward on the mount to get the 5\" eye relief that I needed. I also had to remove the rear open sight from the gun to clear the scope. No big deal though. I can't use them both at the same time anyway. I Imagine the tall mount would have cleared the sight just fine. Finally took the gun to the range and while I did not get it fully sighted it was on paper out of the box. I was able to make 4 shots and got much closer to center. I was time limited so I need to go back and finish the job. This is my first Bushnell scope, I have some Nikon scopes but after looking at a couple scopes at the local gun store and comparing best bank for the buck and quality and reading some other reviews on other sights I decided to go with the Bushnell and I am very happy that I did. Also I messed around in my back yard at dusk just looking through the scope to see how well it gathered light compared to my M-308 Nikon ( a scope 3 times the price) and Although the night optics were not quite as good, it was pretty close. overall seems to be a great scope for what I payed for it. Can't wait for Muzzle loader this year, I definitely have a few months to practice. God Bless America !"
