Bushmaster 7.62x39mm Semi Automatic Carbine 7.62x39mm 16" M4 Barrel 26 Rounds Black M4 Collapsible Buttstock Black Anodized Finish.

This gas operated semi-automatic packs a bigger punch than 5.56mm/.223models - the 7.62x39mm delivers the added power and similar performance of a .30-30 caliber; over 2300 FPS velocity with 122 gr. bullets. Due to the "fatter" case diameter, magazine capacity is reduced to 26 rounds, and 7.62.x39 specific springs and followers are used in the AK-curved steel magazine. The bolt is also different - due again to case diameter (take care not to interchange a 5.56mm/.223 bolt with a 7.62x39mm bolt). Includes a lockable hard case with operator's safety manual, 26 round steel magazine, orange safety block and black web sling. One year Bushmaster warranty.

"I purchased this rifle primarily to shoot steel-cased ammunition that I have plenty of because of my AK. I installed a heavy duty hammer spring and an enhanced firing pin from Galati International (25.00 total). So far so good shooting brass 200 rounds (Remington, Lapua) or steel 300 rounds (Golden Tiger, Brown Bear). Over 500 rounds have been fired so far and no major issues. Oddly enough it does seem to prefer lacquer rounds (either Brown Bear, Golden Tiger), than polymer coated rounds (Brown Bear, TULammo). No fail to fires, they seem to be more difficult for the bolt carrier group to extract them from the magazine. I have only used Bushmaster magazines so I plan on trying other brands to see if that will solve the problem. Will update after another 500 rounds. Love the rifle."
