Bigger and badder is the best way to describe the AR-536. Its 5x magnification makes it easier to find and engage targets out to 600 yards, while the larger 36mm objective delivers brighter, crisper images. The Ballistic/CQTM lighted reticle is ideal for tactical operations or friendly competition. Shooters can choose the high contrast black reticle, or select red or green depending upon the situation. Five different illumination set- tings make it easy to match any light condition.

Ruggedly built to withstand up recoil, abuse and weather, key features include multi-coated lenses, adjustable diopter, integrated lens covers and three Picatinny rail mounting points. Remove the bottom rail mount and it can be readily mounted to an AR carry handle. It is ready for the range right out of the box.

"Compared to its counter parts out there, this is a good scope for the money. The body is solid. The finish is what I would expect for a duty scope. The glass is clear with no distortion. The focus adjustment works, which is nice for us older folks with fading eye sight. The reticle is sharp, even with the illumination. The green is a little bright, even on the lowest setting, but is fine during the day. The 5x magnification I like better than the 3x model. The 5x reticle is larger and I can see the compensation dots easily. The only reason I gave it 4 bullets is due to the mount. I took the mount off to (re)Loctite the screws. I found that one of the heli-coil inserts backed out and boogered up the screw during disassembly. I fixed it myself but Burris needs to have a little better QC standards. I'd like the inserts if they didn't come out.Despite the mount issue, I really like the scope."

"On paper, the sight was just about perfect for what I wanted, but the guys over at Burris have some improvements to make. The build quality and finish appeared to be good. The eye relief was worse than worse. When I got the scope, the reticle was slightly twisted, and because of the large size of the center dot it was impossible to shoot past 100 yards. The illumination was pointless, and had no low light value. I will be spending extra for an ACOG."
