"This case holds two guns comfortably; an 870 w/ 18\" barrel and a military pattern carbine (16\" AR15 or std AK47). Blank foam piece is ~2 1/2\" thick. Lid and case bottom are nicely padded. Zipper and two-piece handle are strong. Overall quality is very impressive."

"At first I was a little leary of purchasing a blank Bulldog case. I recently bought the BD594 case which has pre-cut foam for my Sig 556 rifle. It is wonderful. But I wasn't sure if this case was similar in that the foam might be glued to the bottom of the case like my other Bulldog case. If it were glued then I would have a really difficult time cutting the foam. I was also unsure of how deep the foam was. There are no specifications displayed anywhere so I did not know how much of a gap lie between the foam and the case lid. Upon receiving my new case, I found that the foam is not glued to the bottom of the case and there is no gap between the top of the foam and the lid. It is identical to my other case except having an uncut foam insert. My first time opening the case hit me by surprise. The thin line of glue holding the fabric to the lid came apart at the seam. As many times as I have opened my other case, I have never had a problem with any of it falling apart. Not cool. I glued it back together with a hot glue gun and now it is fine. The zipper is very flimsy on this one. I'm not saying that it is a bad zipper brand. This specific case has a poor zipper. It catches in one spot.I like how tough the case is. I like how snug everything fits inside the fabric. I really like the price tag. In the end, the Bulldog line is a good quality line at a great price. If you can find a case that is pre-cut to your rifle, get it. You will probably be better off than trying to cut it out yourself."
