This is a .380 ACP +P 100 grain hard cast bullet with a flat nose. It is traveling over 1,150 fps out of a 3.75 inch BDA (Browning Double Action) handgun. The extra-high velocity comes from the +P (Plus Pressure). Since most self defense shooting situations take place during the night, Buffalo Bore have used a flash suppressed powder to help eliminate flash from your own gunfire. They have also chosen a flat nosed solid bullet. The flat on the nose ensures that the bullet will cut/smash its way through flesh and bone and do much more destruction and devastation than a typical round nose FMJ bullet. The flat nose not only wounds much more than a round nosed bullet, but it actually keeps the penetration straighter and ultimately deeper. This ammo is quickly becoming the top self defense load on the market. Count on Buffalo Bore Ammo.

"Used these in two fairly new Sig P238 and even the other people at the outdoor range said they could see and hear the difference. Shot both guns around 100 times using 4 different brands of ammo before going to the BB. Didn't have any failures with either gun, or with any of the ammo brands. With the Buffalo Bore, recoil is much greater and they smoke a good bit, but I have no doubt they are very potent. I am one who believes in flat nosed, heavy, and hard hitting bullets over hollow points in .380 ACP. The ballistics I see on this +P Buffalo Bore .380 100 grain hard cast are pretty much equivalent to .38 special. If you carry a .380 and it will handle these, I don't see where you can go wrong."
