A combo is not for everyone. But if you love sub-gauges, love blistering fast handling, love the challenge of a bit less shot down range -- and you love it all in a beautiful package -- then consider this Browning. The word "Lightning" certainly engenders a sense of light weight. Add the word "Feather" to the name and you know what this unique and high performing Citori is all about. The Lighting Feather Citori over under shotgun -- in 20 ga./28 ga. combo configuration -- features a lightweight alloy receiver. The balance of metal parts are deeply blued: barrels, top lever and trigger guard. The Lightning-style round knob or pistol grip is a classic design and has its roots in the original Superposed, after which this shotgun is patterned.
Everything about it says fast-flying upland game. Visually matching the rounded pistol grip on the Lightning Feather Combo is the forearm. It is nicely rounded and together, they give the name to this over under gun as "Lightning Style," or the Citori Lightning model. The absence of a recoil pad is all about reducing weight, but it also adds to the graceful look of its profile. You don't really need a pad with a sweet little 20 or 28 gauge.
Nothing could be better with this Lightning Feather model unless it came with an extra barrel, which it does, and no finer gentleman's gauge exists than the stately 28 gauge. This model Citori comes with a 3" chambered 20 gauge and a 2 3/4" 28 gauge barrel, both 27" in length. It also includes three Invector-Plus 20 gauge tubes and three Standard Invector tubes for the 28 gauge.
