"The only reason I offered 4 stars is the over-all bulk of the thing. I will upgrade it to 4.5 because it is an excellent BlackHawk product. Perhaps a slimming down of the main body? all said and done, BlackHawk and CTD came through shining..."

"Alright, let me begin by saying that CTD never lets me down.. On this occasion they did.. *ONE: by not providing a detailed picture from the underside showing me how it functions. *Two: by stating that it has three securing straps. Its doesn't it has two plus the rear. NOT like the picture. Everything but the securing system it great, its got a rhino hide like texture that grips your cheek and I guess the pad system for height adjustment is alright. I intended to mount this on my ACE stock.. thinking that it would all just cinch down, but negative.. it cinches down on one end and Velcro down on the other hindering the total tightness that could be possible had it just been a strap and or button system. I see the reason for the Velcro but it should have been designed better. I guess its not a total loss.. I ended up putting this on my Mosin 91/30.. go figure. I guess I'll purchase the string cheek pad next? eh.."

"I bought the pad for my Mini 30 (7.62), in hopes of easing the recoil on this old Senior Citizen a bit. The drop on my stock, however, is such that I have to rotate the pad inward (toward me) in order to obtain any semblance of a good sight picture. With ear muffs on, forget it: you'll need to rely on plugs instead."
