"I purchased this bipod for my AR-15. I also purchased the ARR-031 front sight tri-rail mount so that I could mount this bipod to the tri-rail mount. Together, the two were about $45, (not bad at all) and I now have a tri-rail mount where I can mount my laser and possibly a tactical flashlight. It mounted in seconds to the rail, and it is very solid and good quality. I highly recommend this bipod."

"I bought this bipod a week ago for my 22 lr,i found it very good.It had a stable contact with my rifle after i mount it but the only problem was the hole in the stud that it came with to slide your swivel,it had a manufacture defect. The hole wasn't big enough to put my swivel on it.So my advice to people buying this bipod is check the bipod stud hole by passing thru a swivel first."

"Great bipod for the money can't beat it. Has adapter to mount to swivel stud on a rifle stock or straight to a piccatiny rail. I personally use it for paintball but they are excellent for any gun as well. As it says it can swivel about 10 degrees. The spring loaded part they are talking about is the extension of the legs by the way not the opening of the bipod legs in case some of you think other wise. very easy to open just slide the knob on each leg down and fold the leg out. Ill say it again excellent for 23 bucks. If your into paintball this is the exact same bipod they are using on the brand new(as of december 2006) Tiberius T9 Rifle on the models that come with a bipod."

"Don't expect a quick deploy like a Harris bipod, but for the money this is pretty hard to beat. Took off the swivel adaptor and it mounted right to my picatinny rails on my new SOCOM II M1A. Seems sturdy enough. Great value for the money."

"Although this product doesn't have as many nice features as the big-name bipods, for the price you just can't beat it. Not only do you get a small, sturdy bipod that will attach to a picatinny rail, you also get an adapter that allows you to turn your sling stud into a picatinny rail on the bottom of your normal firearm, althought I wouldn't recommend this rail for anything that shoudln't move (any kind of sighting device), it does do very well with the bipod. The finish is kinda cheesy and scratches easily, but for the price, I don't really care. Even my high priced name brand bipod gets a bit scratched too, so it doesn't bother me at all. It even looks nice attached to the bottom of my quad-rail AR-15 gas block (CTD item# ARR-141). I am very pleased with this product!!"

"Just got my order from cheaper than dirt and took my new bipod and put it om my ar15 rail. When I went to put the legs down one of them broke right off. I would send it back but don't want the hassle and will swallow the 22.95 plus shipping. I think it is a piece of junk and will never order chinese again. I was lucky I did not wreck my rail, because the legs were that stiff."

"One of the other reviews said he put this bipod on a .22 and it would not hold zero????? My remington 30-06 did not budge this bipod! after about 60 rnds of no muzzle break heavy recoil 30-06,this product was still super stable! I will be getting more of these for gifts and all my other rifles before anyone realizes they should cost $65! this is my first review after hundreds of dollars of purchase...the product is so good I felt I had to leave a review. And the swivel stud addapter really is \"ingenious\"although, admitedly I did have to razor blade about 1/32 of an inch off the synthetic stock to get the needed clearance..about 10 minutes work. A must have!Thank you CTD!!!"

"This Bipod was perfect for the Colt M4. It comes with picatinny rail as well as swivel mount. Feels solid, legs can be adjusted for varying height side to side. A little longer extension legs would be a plus but this is the only reason I give 4 bullets instead of 5."

"First purchase from CTD and everything was great. This is an OUTSTANDING bipod ! slides right on my AR in a minute. Tight fit, nice and solid.. Just as good as a harris and $80.00 cheaper. I don't know how they do this nice of a unit for the price."

"Don't fool your self, you are not getting a high quality product. The cratsmanship is fair, seems sturdy, is not quick deploy as was stated below; generaly at fist glance not that impressive. But when you slap that thang on in no time flat and it stands there and takes the ponding your rifle gives it with out complaining..you begin to realize this is one of those times you scored, you just got a product that was WELL worth the money. 4 bullets for the ruged product and the outstanding value, even if it is a bit on the unatractive side."

"If the shot REALLY counts a brick or a piece 2x4 will work, problem is I have not had a lot of luck finding either in the sand where I have been working lately. This bipod is relatively light,BUT UGLY,and has held my weapon TRUE when it counted. A note to those of you w/ problems,i./e. legs folding rearward occasionally ( IAN ) I have seen the same thing happen to Harris, Teressi, and other HIGH DOLLAR models. Be glad no-ones life hung in the ballance. JARHEAD56"

"very nice bipod, very sturdy bought for what the reviews said and all were true. It is tough, rigid and not being spring loaded doesn't knock my scope out of zero. 4 bullets instead of 5 because I had to drill at the sling swivel stud in order to make it work for my sling adapter (uncle mikes) but overall very nice bipod."

"I had been shopping around for a while for a bi-pod for my DPMS AR-15 with a very heavy 20\" stainless bull barrell. I also have a 16x scope and light and laser. This adds a lot of weight to the rifle and this bi-pod had performed flawlessly with it. I looked at all the $70-100 models and they were not built much better. Perhaps some of the more expensive models may have had a couple very small advantages as far as ergonomics were concerned but not close enough to justify the price diffeence. You can't beat this bi-pod for the money."

"I have been purchasing pistol and Rifle supplies from Cheaper than Dirt for almost a year. Some of the items I purchased, I had to return because they were not to standard. However, this Bipod is very penny invested in it. I tried it on my AR and it fits, handle and looks very well. I am ordering two more to place on my other AR's. Customer service is superb. Keep up the good work. Thanks"

"I purchased this bipod for my Bushy M4A4, and I can honestly say I couldn't be happier. This is a great buy, attaches securely to my quad rail handguard, and as a bonus, I used the included sling swivel adapter to mount it on my SKS, so I got two for the price of one. On a technical note, I mounted it so that the legs folded forward when not in use so as to eliminate any undesired folding of the legs during usage."

"I was alittle skeptical buying a Bipod for $20 but after reading some of the reviews I figured why not. My order was delivered accuratley and fast! The Bipod far exceded my expectations on quality and ease of use. I honestly can't believe it's only $20 bucks. Has the same look and quality of $100 Bipods. My buddy has a harris and after seeing my UTG wished he had one. Buy one..."

"Just got one of these, and I am impressed with it for the price. I liked this design because of the clean lines. Both the up and down lock is positive. You slide the little knob on the upper part of the leg toward the rubber foot and this releases the leg to swing. At the up or down position, the latch slips into a groove in the base(the uplock notch is visible in the picture) and locks the leg in place. The one delivered to me was like the one in the upper portion of the picture. I am setting a heavy barrel savage on this pod and so far it is rock solid. This bipod has a bunch of mounting options. The base that adapts to a sling stud works well although I have not attempted to attach a sling loop to it as a previous poster mentioned issues in this area. I have a side attached sling on my stock so don't plan on using this anyway. This base could easilly be hard bolted to a stock for a more permanent installation if desired. The picatiny rail looks and feels robust and it swivels easilly and has an \"O\" ring in between the swiveling parts to add a little friction. The Picatiny clamp is also easilly disassembled from the top leg frame with 2 allen wrenches, leaving a nearly flat top and a hole in the center. This abbreviated assembly(just the legs and the block that connect them) could be easilly bolted to a stock for an even lower profile but non swiveling installation. The lower legs look like they could be about an inch longer giving a 9-12\" adjustment range, but reducing it's durability/weight capacity. They also pop out with a spring when the lock collar is loosened. If you don't want pop-out legs(quieter), the springs can be removed, further lightening its weight and making it quieter. So far I like mine, very big bang for the buck!"

"This is a nice bipod. Don't understand the couple of bad reviews, unless they are Harris stock holders. This bipod works well on a D.P.M.S. chambered 5.56. The bipod also works well on a Weatherby 300 magnum, with the included swivel stud adaptor. The nice thin about this item is that you can put the swivel stud adaptor on your hunting rifle and then switch the bipod from gun to gun in seconds. For the price, it can't be beat. No problems to report. C.T.D., your LEO rep. is, as always, very profesional and pleasent to do business with."

"This is a good deal. Seems pretty stong. Only thing I don't like about is when it's in it's shortest postion 9\" both legs are not the same length. I have to adjust one out a little to get it back level. Still I would buy it again if I had to."

"Nice, compact, very durable and steady bipod.Only problem I can find with it is turning locks. When in the shooting position, if you don't really crank down on the screws holding the legs tight (i shoot at 9\", not the 11\"), one will pop up, throwing off the next shots. Also, the screw that goes over the sling swivel loosens up occasionally, and needs to really be cranked down (talking pliers) to keep it steady.Other than that, nice steady mount, pan is a nice feature, mounted with legs facing back, not towards the front and have no other problems."

"I have been trying to find a bipod that has a quick detachment and that is very stable. This one is it! I just returned a $60 bipod to Cabela's that was floppy and not as well made. I thought I would have good luck with this one as I also have the bipod-103 model. The 103 bipod is not as quick and stable, but a great bipod. The rubber pad also came off the 103 bipod at 20 degrees. This bipod fits great and the base is hardly noticeable."

"Got home from work and found my package I ordered yesterday came in today. CTD has done it again! 28 hours after ordering, the box was here. This bi-pod. I can't begin to say enough good things about it. Mounted in about 10 seconds and it's like a brick! Really! It's heavy, and doesn't feel like a cheap toy, but a very sophisticated piece of equipment. It feels like it's a solid steel construction. I've got a Caldwell Bi-Pod mounted to my .243 NEF and really, there's no comparison. The Caldwell is lighter, and smoother to operate, but the UTG is sturdier, and doesn't have the \"wiggle factor.\" I'm primarily putting it on a custom built Ruger 10/22 with Christie's Stock, Vertical Fore grip, Bull Barrel, 4-12x40 Simmons, High Capacity Magazine, Mamba Universal M4 Sling, and a Tactical Flashlight. Great for nighttime varmint hunting, but with the match grade Wolf ammo I use, I can just as easily use it for fine tuned target shooting. I figured, 20 bucks for a bi-pod? I might as well. I've got almost 20 UTG Products, and again, am EXTREMELY impressed. The legs must be unlocked to flip up and unlocked again to fold down, which is a good feature, but consumes valuable time in a fast paced hunt, or a tactical situation. If you're going to stay on a target more than a minute or two, this bi-pod is the one for the job, it's so incredibly stable, and maintains the weight of my 10/22 (well over 14lbs fully decked out) with ease. Most bi-pods can flip up if positioned \"backwards\" with the result of a good blast of a recoil. I don't know the affects of higher caliber rounds, but in a prone position I attempted to \"slam\" this bi-pod with the equivalent of a .243 rifle recoil, and it held firm. Those who spoke of it folding backwards were either using .50 calibers, had a defected product, or just jerked the trigger resulting in the weapon coming backwards, forcefully, and improperly against the bi-pod itself. This product is extremely rock solid, it "

"I put this bipod on my WASR-10 with a modified fore grip. It took about two seconds. I tightened it using a quarter out of my pocket. The big slot makes for quick on and off applications. I put it on so the legs fold foward. This lets me use the fore grip with my hand if I don't want to use the bipod. Now if it holds up, the bang for the buck will be great!"

"Works really well and is strong. Each leg requires you to slide a button to fold up and down. Kindof inconvienent at times, would probably rather have one that is spring loaded and you just pull down and push up. For $20 i can't complain too much.. just a few more extra seconds. can do both legs at once pretty smooth with a little practice."

"Usually you can't go by the look cause it looks better on the internet than on hand. Also for $23 i thought this would be a cheap bipod. I had nothing to lose so I bought it. Well its cheap in price but not cheaply made. It easily installs on my bushmaster's tri-mount adapter. This bipod is a great buy for the money! I own a Harris bipod also and i would say for 1/3 or 1/4 the price this bipod is just as good if not better. I love this bipod so much that i'm going to buy 2 more for my other rifles. I highly recommend this item especially if you're a bench shooter. It's very sturdy. This is one of those items that will cause you to ask yourself \"Did they make a mistake on the price?\". Get one asap before they raise the price! You will not be disappointed!"

"I own 2 of these and don't have problems with them at the range when I'm just practicing, but in some scenarios it would be better to have on a little larger. That and I don't like the room they take up when they are folded forward. I haven't bought it yet but I think I would prefer the Bipod/Foregrip for my AR-15. It's a vertical foregrip that unfolds into a bipod available right here at CTD.com. I think I'll buy that soon."

"I just received mine, as always came fast, it seems to be a pretty solid item. I did have a little problem attaching it to my swivel stub and had to do a little work to get it on. Once I got it on I was very happy with it, seems to be very solid and the legs move great. I would probably buy another. Do not be fooled by what looks like another swivel stud at the bottom of it, it might be a swivel stub but the hole is very small and non of my swivel slings fit in it. Over all, worth the money and probably worth a little more."

"I purchased this bipod on 6-25-08 & got a chance to use it today. Who would have thought you can actually purchase a great product at a low price? If you buy this bipod, that's what you get. Had it installed in less than a minute. Very sturdy construction. I installed it on my Remington model #710 30-06. My rifle has a 3-9X40 Bushnell scope, a synthetic stock & kicks like a mule. Hard to keep a good grouping on the target. After putting 40 rounds down the range, with bipod installed, all hit no further than 2 inches from the bullseye on a 5.5 inch round target. That was at 100 yards. For the heck of it I tried it on my Ruger P95DC (handgun). To my suprise, it fit on the accessory rail. I was able to fine tune my sights with it. Made my day at the range more pleasant. As I said, great product at a great price. You can buy a more expensive bipod with exposed springs that makes a noise when opened or closed. You could even buy one that does NOT have posi-lock legs at a higher price, BUT I would not recommend it! Happy Shooting. To all who live in Texas, get online & Google \"open carry petition\", then sign it."

I slammed this baby around and fired 200 rounds with out a problem. The one touch extendability of the legs is great. The neat little rubber foot pads stop slipping.I have this pod folded forwards. "I bought one of these to put on a MAK 90, and it has been an awesome little addition, It can be mounted on either a sling swivel stud, like harris bi-pods, or you can mount it to any rifle that has a picatinny rail on the bottom, what's not to like. It is durable, and I like the finish, it is strong. I also like the rubber feet on the bottom, I can actually put my bi-pod on anything without worrying about too much moving, and without marring any surface. Excellent little Bi-pod."

"Can't beat this one for the price. Sturdy construction. You can tighten the screws at the bottom by hand, or loosen and the legs pop out to full length. All you have to do to fold is pull the screws toward the bottom of the pod. Very easy operation! I'm sure there are better pods out there, but not for the price."

"Unpacked this... and I've used it to sight in my DPMS AR and to get after some targets w/ my Weatherby .300 Mag.Strong and steady. And silent as the grave when dropping the legs into position.I've gotten two other bi-pods for similar prices, but this is a MUCH steadier piece of equipment."

"Ok, wow, this is an amazing piece of equipment. I have a savage model 111 (.30-06) and it went right on. It makes this weapon look amazing. Also the stability is above par. The paning and the easily folding arms are very useful as well. Anybody looking for a great bipod for, as far as i can see, any rifle, this is the one to get."

"I had my doubts about this bipod before I bought it, but then I dropped it on my Bushmaster AR-15, fired off 100 rounds and killed about 30 prairie dogs with it. It is a great product, very steady, easy to put on and take off. I would say it's definitely worth the money you spend on it."

"Excellent bi pod. I mounted this one on my Remington 597 22LR and it works fantastically. It didn't seem to be that level at first but I figured out that it works better if you don't tighten the legs when there extended. And the springs are still strong enough to hold up the gun. Bottom line here is that you get what you pay for and you get an awesome bi pod for the money."

"Decently engineered/designed with solid quality materials, but constructed so bad it deserves the title \"Poorly Built Chinese Junk\". The one leg is binding so badly it's hard to put down and the sling adapter has the hole for the keeper pin drilled in the wrong place which should have been drilled parallel with the Sling connector hole, by drilling the hole in the wrong place it makes this configuration usless.I did see an earlier review similar but disregarded it because of all the other positive reviews. The absense of a quality control or inspection program will continue producing poorly built products and the unsuspecting buyer will continue being the final inspector of these poorly built products and keep getting screwed. I gave it a 1 Star rating because I couldn't give it anything less."

"I hooked it up to my Bushmaster Predator and had a field day hitting targets and small rodents at ranges from 25m to 800m. Recoil had little effect on it as she stayed pretty steady the entire time. People who complain about their accuracy don't know how to aim as this bipod worked flawlessly. Folds up against gun for easy transport. There are only five small pictures showing you how to mount it on a swivel stud, but it's enough for you to figure it out. Five minutes and a flat-head screwdriver and you'll be ready to roll. If it could pivot so I could follow a running target I'd have given it 6 bullets, but this is seriously one great bipod."

"I ordered this bipod at the same time that I ordered my UTG Quad Rail, which is also available from CTD. I've fired around 300 rds from the bipod and have found it to be invaluable. Very sturdy and not the least bit junky. I like the fact that the legs can be fully extended without being locked because the legs will adjust automatically for shots to the sides. The only complaint I have is that the bipod legs didn't retract far enough to prevent it from being an impediment to magazines on my carbine. I solved this problem by turning the bipod around so that the legs fold forward."

"I got one of these to put on my 10/22 and it looks and works great. It is plenty durable and the people who said it broke right away must have really smashed or slammed it around because if you treat it sensibly it should hold up fine (it is less than thirty bucks after all). The dual mounting system is cool, I have a rail on my rifle so I can't say much about how the sling swivel stud actually is but it looks as though it would work fine. All in all this bipod is exactly what I was looking for and is a great value."

"I bought this bipod originally for use on a Savage Mk II .22lr, however, i've since bought acouple more and put them on my Colt Match Target AR-3 .223, and a Remington 700 in .270win. This is definately one of the best bipods for the money spent, without a doubt. Sure, you could spend 80+ dollars for a nice Harris setup, but why would you, this is a third of the price and functions just as good. Spend the money saved on ammo man. Handles recoil well, has a nice posilock function for leg swivel. The only problem, as noted by other reviewers, is that it can be a pain getting it on some swivel studs. It WILL go on, trust me. It might take you a half hour, as it did me, but w/ persistence, it will thread. Highly recomended product at an unbeatable price. Thanx CTD.com, yet another awesome buy."

"Had to try it out for $30. Mounts on rails well. Just use loctite. As for swivels, I cant make it fit. Still, it is functional, not too fancy, right price for everyday use. If you're considering competition or for sniper, get the upper end ones. Typical range & hunting, this works fine."

"I got one of these to put on my Remington 700 SPS Varmint and it is awesome. Everything fit pretty well, the stud adapter was a little hard to get into position so the set screw went all the way through. I'll chalk that one up to the variety of sizes and styles of sling studs. The 700's have two studs on the front, so it wasn't that big of a deal having to loosen the one to get it on. I haven's had a chance to shoot it yet, but it feels great, and I can hold on targets well past where I used to. I also like the all internal spring design. There aren't any springs hanging on the outside to get caught on things, and everything folds up real nicely. This was a great buy, I wish you could buy just the rail and stud extension though, so I could put them on my other guns and rotate the bipod between them all, because you can't shoot more than one gun at a time now can you."

"I got the bipod today and in about 1/2 an hour had it all mounted up. I put it on a new .17 Rossi single shot I had won in a gun raffle. The bipod mounted with absolutely no problems. I did have to drill out the hole in the rossi sling swivel screw(too small) The bipod mounts up very solidly and seems to be really rigid. I was looking at another spring loaded bipod at Dicks for 67.00 and it was much more flimsy than this one. I also got a nice leather sling from you guys, very good quality sling. Thanks, SEMPER FI"

"For the money it will be fine. The leg locking mechanism has more play than I think it should, but the bell curve for quality and price are still in my favor with this. I did not need the sling swivel and installed it on my rail hand guard. It holds firm and allows you to pivot a little left and right. The legs are spring loaded and extend out as you turn the locking mechanism. It rocks forward and backward while resting on the unit. I will have to test the durability as far as how much I can lean into it later. The rubber feet come off with a little tug, but won\uFFFDt fall off. Over all it is ok for what I will do."

"Well I guess everybody that reviewed this item didnt use it for more than a couple shots. There is nothing \"durable\" about it. There is a severe problem with the lock out mechanisms since the slots it locks into are made of soft aluminum. Any rifle with a decent recoil will tear these up in no time at all. The first time this happened I thought it was a fluke so I had CTD send me another one. Same thing happened. The only good thing is the sling/picatinny mount."

"I was so dissapointed with this item that I felt like making it very clear. This bipod is made of very well machined parts from inferior quality aluminum. If you do not want a bipod that will fail you, then buy something that is steel, or at least aluminum in the parts that aren't going to take stress. Long story short it will bend/break within 100-200 shots."

"I bought one of these bipods back in June 2008. It has seen moderate use since then on an AR-15 and, more recently, a Mosin Nagant. It seems to be very well made and gets the job done just as good as a much more expensive bipod. Based on more recent reviews, it looks like there may have been a change in quality since I bought mine so caveat emptor. \"Buyer Beware\""

"I bought this for my cz 452 .22 rifle. I love it! I was shooting whistle pigs out to 250 yards! It works great and i had no problem mounting it. It was very simple to mount. I was considering on buying a 70 dollar one from Cabelas but figured it would work fine. I like the part that you can just buy the upper piece, that mounts to your gun, and just put them on all your rifles so you can just whip it off and put on your other rifle in just seconds. I did this with my 7mm and it works fine. No problems at all. Buy this you will definatly love it and will be glad that you didnt spend close to 100 dollars!"

"Nice piece of equipment when you consider the price. This bipod went on easy. I attached it to my 270 which I was shootin less than 1\" groups of three to even tighter. This bipod is not good for semi-automatic shooting ie. M-4, M15/16. It was not designed for this type of rapid shooting. But for the hunter this will work. Assembly was easy and the bipod stayed locked in place after shooting three rounds from my 270. Just make sure that all screws that are suppose to be tight, be tight."

"Bought one of these from here almost 2 years ago. Am going to buy another. I love mine. Easy attach and removal, fits any gun with a steel sling swivel stud. I even installed short weaver rails on some of my non-collector guns so I could switch it from gun to gun without having to remove the mount its included with. The included mount is stable and not hard to install, and has not even smudged let alone scratched any of my wood, laminate, or synthetic stocks. The only complaint I have is, every hundred shots or so (of center-fire calibers anyway) you must take a hex wrench and snug up the Allen bolt between the legs. No big deal but mine needs it every so often. I would rate this bi-pod 4.5 out of 5."

"Big bang for small buck. Impressed with construction, ease of fit, and ease of operation. Once mounted, each forward facing leg lowers and raises quickly with a push of the slide lock and flick of the wrist. Each leg is spring-loaded to extend another couple of inches from the knurled twist-lock collar. Mounts and dismounts quickly and easily to picatinny rail. Raised, both legs face straight forward, approximately 1\" apart, and parallel to the barrel. It is accessorized with quick disconnect swivel-adapter (which I set aside and connected bi-pod directly to the rail via machined dove-tail clamp). Perfect fit and operation for my S&W M&P 15-22, plus, lightweight and economical."

"This is a good bipod as long as you don't need fine adjustment in the height. The legs are spring operated and they are hard to lock in exact placement. I don't need the legs longer than 9\" so its not a problem, and they work pretty well at 11\" too. But any were in between is a pain to lock down.
