"I don't know that this will help anyone, but I bought this 1927A-1 because I have always wanted a Thompson. There's no way that I will pay $15k for a FA so this had to do. Personally, I like the longer barrel on these as it gives it a more proportional look. Right out of the case I felt that this thing was awkward when trying to hold it while pulling the bolt back. I have since developed my own personal technique for doing this. Shouldering the Tommy is an even more awkward feeling. It is easy to aim though. I shot it at an indoor range with typical poor lighting and in that situation it was hard to notice the front and rear sights. I was still able to hit center mass quite easily though. It does have a very light but comfortable recoil. You can shoot this all day and the only thing that will be sore is your arms from trying to hold it up. The trigger pull feels nice and doesn't affect your aim when shooting. I haven't used the boring stick mag yet but my 50 round drum perfroms flawlessly. I am an amature with this still but all I can say is that they are very fun to shoot, even though it is SA. The weight is up there though. I can take about 5 well aimed, non rushed shots before needing to lower it for a few seconds to take a brake. Where the Tommy gun is awkward when shoulder firing it, it has a completely awesome feel when holding by your side. Taking it apart for cleaning is pretty easy and there aren't a whole lot of parts to deal with. The case has foam cutouts and everything fits in it very nicely. As much as I paid for this I thought I would have some buyer's remorse but that went out the window when I fired it. I am glad I bought it and plan on shooting it often. Every man should have a Tommy Gun, because it's a TOMMY GUN!"

"Just received my Thompson A-1 T150D today. 1st, I am very impressed with the quality of service @ Cheaper Than Dirt! Had a couple of questions, emails answered almost immediately! No problems with buying system and Shipped faster than most Gunbroker Gun deals! Now for the Thompson WOW as soon as I saw the case I was excited! But when I opened it I was ecstatic!!! The fit/finish is worth every penny. Only drawback is, It is a beast!!! BUT It's what I wanted. Every man should have a Thompson, a Truck, and a Bulldozer! If firing it is half as much fun as I've had so far I'll be Happy!! You have got to get-u-one-of-these!!"
