"The name and history of this round intrigued me, so I bought two boxes. I went to the range and compared three other magnums and one 38 special. I was using my 1894c lever action Marlin. The other rounds were white box Winchester, Fiocchi and hand reloads rated at 1500 fps. All rounds shot tight groups at 25 yards but by feel and sound I rate Atomic 1st, hand load 2nd, Fiocchi 3rd and Winchester 4th. All that being said, they were all very close and are good rounds. I could find no fault with the Atomics' packaging, looks and feel. Added bonus--you get 50 rounds per box, not 20 or 25."

"Way too much unburned powder. Clouds of smoke almost like black powder. Shot out of S&W TRR8. I got hit with some of the powder when, I was about 4 to 5 feet back from the shooter. Only used about 10 rounds. Too dirty to shoot indoors. Had no problems with Remington Golden Sabers or Winchester."

"Bought a couple of boxes to break in my new Ruger SP101. Was hit by powder fragments on each shot and the empty casings were so swollen I had to use tools to remove them from the cylinder. No idea if this is typical or if I got a \"bad\" box of Atomic? No problems with Winchester and Federal ammo."
