"I rate this 5 stars because going into it you shouldn't expect kimber quality...however this is my second RIA 1911 and it is every bit as quality as the first one I purchased a year ago. The guns are quality throughout. One should not be afraid of buying this gun because of the price, I'm sure that this gun is better quality than 80% of the 1911s on the market. Better than the Remington R1 without a doubt."

"This is a value based 1911 Tactical firearm that shoots like it has a laser on it. Price is affordable to all and shoots like it should. This is my 1st 1911 .45ACP and I had little expectations except that it feels good to shoot and goes bang each and every-time. Believe it or not it goes well with my Coonan Duracoat Blk 1911 in .357Mag. They are now a pair...Love them both..."

"First time I went out to shoot this RIA 1911, it shot just as well as the Kimber and Remington we had out with us. We went through 200 rounds of Winchester bulk .45 auto with no problems at all, not a single failure thru all 200 rounds. At this price point you cant beat the quality of this gun."

"This is my first 1911, and I am very happy with it. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg to get into 1911s, and this turned out to be the perfect fit. Shot the first 150 rounds with it this morning with 3 types of ammo and it ran it all perfectly. The included mag ran great, as well as the 7rd Kimber mag that I picked up. Also 5 bullets to ctd for the great price and free 2 day shipping."

"My first 1911, wow! It exceeded all my expectations. It arrived at my FFL in three business days. The brand new (still wrapped in shipping plastic)gun looks and feel as good as any 1911 I've ever held. It shoots straight and not a single jam after 200+ rounds. This is definitely a gun that is fun to shoot and will get used more than the my other firearms. Way to go RIA!!!and Cheaperthandirt!!!!"

"I ordered mine on Friday 11/23/13 and it was received by my FFL dealer on Monday. Picked it up on Tuesday morning and was putting rounds true it 2 hrs later. I did have 4 jams but I understand it has to be broken in. I like the way it feel. I won't give up my XDM 40 cal. as my conceal carry but will take my 1911 from time to time. Great gun has told everyone that I know that wants a 1911 about it."

"As the name says, this is my 1st 1911. Put it off as long as I could due to bad experience a long time ago. I really wanted American-made, but this price could not be ignored. Pistol is tight, smooth, trigger-crisp, ate 100 rounds of my hand loads like it was raised on them. Even better than the pistol was the customer service at CTD. WOW, if every company in America was as customer-oriented as you guys! Keep it up, folks, please."

"Whoa! Nice looking gun! I know functioning and reliability is a lot more important and its looks. It functioned pretty well for a new gun. I compliment that. I cannot say about reliability (just being honest) because it's new. Fired off few rounds well - so far."

"This is the third 1911A1 I have purchased over the years with one being a military issue and the second a S&W. I didn't really know what to expect, but when I received my RIA I was very pleased. I have yet to fire it, but it is solid and operates smoothly with a great feel. CTD shipped fast and withing three days I had my weapon. Thank you for a weapon at a sharp price from a wonderful bunch of folks. Semper Fi"

"Great customer service and great pistol, I usually only buy the expensive stuff and expect great quality. What a great surprise, this is definitely a well made firearm."

"Received the weapon in 3 days. Good job CTD!! Took it to the range with some reduced loads and could not get the thing to cycle. The guy in the bay next to me gave me some of his hotter rounds and no problem. He said that as soon as the spring and slide break in it will cycle just fine with my reduced loads. So buy a hot commercial ammo, at least for the break in period! As far as accuracy, I put a little of my wife's white fingernail polish on them and....well what can I say, I hit a 92 out of 100 at 35 feet. Super gun. CTD and Rock Island Armory have really have a fantastic deal with this weapon. I would definitely recommend this gun and CTD to anyone who would like a reliable, entry level 1911!!"

"Shipped Monday got it Tuesday. I'm close to warehouse. Cleaned gun. Comes in cosmoline like substance. The gun is super tight. Never have I needed a tool to remove barrel lug until now. I've owned kimber colts Springfield's. Tack driving out of the box with FMJ. Ran a few HP for fun n no jams. Is a little tight in my blackhawk Serpa holster. LOVE IT. Don't let name fool you armscor makes an awesome 1911."

"O.K., fired 250 rounds of hotter ammo through it and then tried my lower velocity reloads and PERFECT. Not a single jam or stove pipe in another 250 rounds. Let my wife shoot it and she says it is more accurate and gives less kick than my 38's. Thanks again CTD!!"

"Went to the range the day I picked it up and went through 100 rounds. Only hung one time. Hope it gets better as more rounds are cycled."

"Exactly what I ordered this is a mid level gun that I planned to upgrade using the lower. The service from Cheaper Than Drit is second to none. Everything during the process was first rate that's why I keep coming back."

"Received within 2 days to ffl dealer. Smooth transaction. Gun was in a plastic bag heavily oiled. I have fired about 70 rounds through it with no problem. Has a great feel in my hand. My only complaint is the sights. Hard to acquire quickly and impossible at night. Planning to get night sights installed soon."

"Purchased for the first time on the internet from ctd, my firearm came in at my ffl Gun was in excellent condition. Clicked up the field strip video at Armscor, took me about 15 seconds to field strip my .45. I would suggest that you get a barrel bushing wrench to save your fingers. Went to the range Monday night and practiced and shot a bulls eye match shooting approximately 150 rounds.Have since run about 350 more rounds with no problems. For the price the firearm is unusually well made, both fit and finish. Trigger being the best part of the .45 4lb pull no take up crisp finish. Just a really nice firearm. Make sure you get the rubberized grips they work really well."

"Was very pleased with the price, the fast shipping and the quality of the .45. Have run about 300 rounds with one failure, it was due to using an old C-R magazine. Trigger pull is as advertised, rubber grips are excellent, fit and finish very good, would highly recommend to any one in the market for a .45."
