"This thing is junk. Good idea, very bad design. First, the sling stud does not swivel, locking the sling into one position. Which leads to the second, and biggest, problem. When I put this on my rifle, I screwed it in using only my hand. I then attempted to straighten the stud using an ignition wrench (great little wrenches available at Sears). I had barely moved the stud (less than one click on a rachet, maybe 2 degrees) and it snapped off the head of the screw. No I didn't try to torque it down. It was still slightly loose when I tried to turn it. Which makes me think that if I had actually attached a sling to it, it would have broken off rather quickly. The stud/barrel are actually well constructed, it's just the screw that's junk. Save your money, buy the push button version of this pin. It's easier to install and remove. Plus the swivel stud actually rotates around the pin, relieving the stress. By the way, you will probably need special tools to make it easier to remove and/or re-install the spring and retention stud under the stock pin. I haven't found them on CTD, but they're available for about 4 bucks for the removal tool, 10 bucks for the installer. You don't need the spring and retention stud for this pin, or the push button version, but if you ever want to put the original pin back in, you can't do it without the re-install tool. Google \"pivot pin depressor\" and \"pivot pin installation tool\"."
