"Plain and simple. If you buy another forearm you are paying way to much for a name. Mounted mine in about 5 min's. Rock solid. This is not a toy. Please do not be turned off by the name. The price of something does not make it good or bad. This is a great forearm and the price only makes it better. Worst part is --- I got mine before the price break. Buy this, I promise you will not be disappointed."

"I recently received this leapers carbine forearm, and i could not be happier with it. It is extremely solid when attached, and required much less effort than the removal of my stock DPMS forearm. This is due to a much more intelligent design, which does not require you to pull the delta ring down so hard. In addition, the 2 halves screw together with 4 allen screws. Also included are enough rubber grip covers to fit over all the rails, and the rails themselves are numerically marked. This forearm is rock solid, i use it with a vertical grip and there is no shake or shimmy whatsoever. If you pay more for a forearm, you are throwing money away."

"I just received this and installed it on an Armalite M-15. Took me about five minutes. It looks and feels great and dosent move around like the plastic handguards do. Very good purchase. Only complaint is the rail covers are a little hard to snap back on."

"I have been in the \"business\" since the start of the AR-15/carbine in squad cars movement. Over the years, I have attached lights and accessories with just about every conceivable contraption. Bought two of these for department SWAT guns...........Just like the other reviews, I was amazed the quality for the money. Rock Solid! Value Priced! Easy to Install! What else could you want? So good I had to buy one for my personal gun. I have installed on Rock River and DPMS guns, no problems."

"No qualms whatsoever. Purchased this because of the great reviews and am myself satisfied. No play in it at all. Installation a breeze. Heavy duty rail guards. Only have a vertical grip on it so far but I'm sure it'll handle whatever gizmos one would want to hang off of it. A+ !!"

"Excellent product for the price. I had this out of the box and installed in less than 10 minutes. Took it out to the range and ran about 200 rounds thru the gun to see if it would shimmy loose. No problems at all. Rock solid product!"

"Easy to install, sturdy, and not hard on the eyes. I was going to drop 200 dollars on a mil spec one identical to the one on my M4 i carried in Iraq, but opted to take a chance on UTG. I couldnt be happier, i almost prefer this to the military one as this is made of stronger metal (although it IS a few ounces heavier.) Buy this part before the democrats ban it!"

"This set up, is every bit as good as the high dollar ones. Only draw back is the protectors they come with, do crack easy. But I assume the quad rail is what we all really care about. And its a solid rig."

"One more 5 bullet vote for this product. Easy to install and fits solid on my RRA mid-length upper. Not sure I really like the rail protectors, but they'll do until I get something else. They seem durable but are too big. I'm just glad UTG is making these for mid-length now."

"Just received my Quad rail today and installed it on my Armalite AR-15. \"Fits perfect and secure\". Some may say the rubber covers are cheap and don't last but they look good to me."

"Purchased this forearm for a bushmaster M4. Was shipped quick and installed with nothing more than my hands and a leatherman tool. I couldn't believe the price for this thing. I had almost paid $190 for the bushmaster brand forearm. I have both a tactical grip and flashlight mounted to this thing and have no complaints. It even comes with 12 segmented rail covers! Awesome. Just awesome."

"This is an excellent bargain. These rails are as good as any I have encountered for way less money. In most cases I tout you get what you pay for, but in this case tha does not reign true. They fit like a glove, no wobble, no play at all! I had a front tri rail with a detatchable side sling mount and it fit the rails also. They took me less than 5 minutes to put on and they are absolutely rock solid. Bang for teh buck, they are UNBEATABLE. UTG does it again."

"I put this on my Bushmaster M4 style flat top and it fits great. The process is very easy and only took a few minutes.I did use some lock tight just to make sure that the screws don't back out.It is very sturdy and works great with the tactical light, green laser, and bi-pod that i have mounted to it.I don't see why anyone would spend two or three times the money for another one when this one is just as good without paying the high price."

"I am a complete novice with guns especially an AR15 and I was able to figure it out in about 15 minutes (I said I was a novice, lol). If you get one of these don't forget the handguard removal tool. Without it you will make life very difficult. Well worth the money and the gun looks awesome with it."

"I got this for my Del-Ton AR.Fits great. The hardest part was removing the old handguard.Once removed, this snapped into place in less than a minute.HOWEVER, if someone can tell me how to get the rubber guards back on, I'm all ears. A hammer doesn't work."

"I went to purchase the YHM quad rail and the guy working at CTD recommend this one. I was really impressed with how tight it fits and the quality. I did not buy the removal tool, and it makes the replacement a 2 man job if you don't have it, but was really simple to do. Quadrail fits snug and is high quality. To answer the previous review to snap the plastic protectors (provided) back on press in the center of the plastic piece with your thumbs while pulling the outer edges towards you. The units will usually pop back on."

"Easy to put on, hard to put down. It fit my M&P 15 very tight with no rattles or slippage. The only complaint I could see is that they have a little bit of weight to them. Everything I've put on the rails has fit snug.To get the rubber things back on, push on the center of them, while pulling back on the edges. You sort of flex them flat, and they snap right back on."

"This Quad Rail is a great deal. From what I've heard from others, I purchased this Quad Rail over the one from Mako. My only issue is this is made in China, but the price difference is hard to over come, especially in this economy. Handles well with Harris Bi-pods and a variety of tac-lights. Worth easily more money."

"I just received this. It fits my DPMS carbine perfectly. After seeing this product, I can't imagine why anyone would pay more for another quad rail. While it is true that it mounts in less than five minutes, removing the original hand guards is another matter entirely. I am sure it would have been easier with a hand guard removal tool, but I can't justify buying something that I will probably only use once."

"I have had this rail on my DPMS 5.56 sportical for a while, and it is a quality piece of hardware. The forearm is rock-solid, and has zero movement once bolted on.That being said, the forearm is also VERY heavy. It is pretty much a solid piece of aluminum, which is good and bad. I definitely feel that it is the single heaviest component to my AR.For the money, you cant go wrong with this - and you certainly will be satisfied."
– Humboldt1337

"As others have reviewed, the item is heavy but I only see this adding to accuracy and recoil control. Easily installed using included allen wrench with four allen head screws. Extremely solid feeling once installed. Rubberized covers reinstall by pressing the center with thumb while pulling back on the outer edges. Once in place the covers stay and don't easily slide back and forth on the rails. The 6 3/4\" length (ARR-138) fits my Bushmaster M-4 clone forend perfectly. Added the Mako Quick Release Rail Pistol Grip Ergonomic Design with Compartment in Grip (ARR-096). It fit like a glove with no wobble. Cheaper Than Dirt will get all of my business for future purchases."

"Do yourself a favor and buy one of these. My first ar was the 30th anna. Bushmaster. It with rails and the whole nine yards. I put this on a bare bones carbine and it fits great. You cant go wrong with this I tell ya. It may not be as heavy as the YHM rails on the other but on a carbine thats a good thing. Also install was a breeze. It took all of 5 mins. THANKS FOR A GREAT PRODUCT. AT A GREAT PRICE!!!! To bad these type of rifles are getten hard to get. There so much fun to make your own."

"This rail system is a great value for the $ your spending!!! It is a little bit heavy on the front end (I have it mounted on my Bushmaster AR15 M4 Carbine). It may have just been me, but I did have to play with it for quiet some time before I could get it to seat right. Once I got it on though, it looks awesome and my green laser, pistol grip, and tac light, fit perfectly. If you wanna save some $ and get a good part, go ahead and order this one!!!"

"I just finished installing this on my Armalite M15.Yes, it really does *lock* *tightly*. I'm very pleased about that.Feels better than my stock free-floating grip. Much better. You do *not* need the handguard removal tool. It would be nice if you plan on installing dozens of these things, but I was able to install it with a simple lever to hold down my M15's retention ring while I pulled the handguard apart. So don't worry about buying a tool. It will add a bit of weight if you are currently using the stock foregrip, but the extra inertia isn't all bad.Now to find a good bipod. Very pleased with this guy."

"I purchased the UTG quad rail on 05-05-09 for my Bushmaster AR-15. I was extremley pleased with the product, the easy installation and the added rubber grips that are attached for added comfort and protection. I did notice that my AR-15 was slightly heavier, but what do you expect when you add accessories to a weapon!! For anyone looking to purchase a forearm, I would strongly suggest looking at the UTG forearm due to the products great price and durability.....not to mention the perfect fit and NO movement. The locking device added with the additional screws creates a PERFECT fit!!"

"I purchased this for my DPMS AR-15 last week and I couldn't be happier. Once the original forearm was removed (major P.I.T.A if you don't have a friend or a tool) this quad rail went on in less than 2 minutes. As the other reviews state, it *locks tight* and is *rock solid.* The rubber grips are stout yet comfortable. This item does add some weight to the weapon, but not nearly as much as I had anticipated. If you are looking for a well built, durable, zero-movement quad rail, I really can't recommend anything other than this one. Thanks CTD."

"Bought this for my M&P 15 for the price its amazing! Very sturdy design and comes with the rubber guards which is convenient. Its very easy to replace your handguard as long as you have the tool. Secures with four screws and locks very tightly. Similar quality quads cost a lot more, and UTG can make some amazing products"

"This is a GREAT product. I would have given it 5 stars, but it is a bit bulky with the protectors on. However, considering the fact that it is half the price of the other rails on the sight, I will deal with it. As to the others that state it's heavy, I does have some heft, however if you spent you life lugging a hunting rifle through the mountains of PA, you won't even notice it."

"Bought one for my Bushmaster AR a few months ago. Very high quality. Don't know why anyone would pay $200 or more when this one does it all for a fraction of the cost? I buying more of these and outfitting all my AR's with em. Get one you won't regret it."

"Ordered this for an AR-15 I am building but after receiving it and doing some comparison decided to try it on my RRA LAR-8. IT FIT!! Had to take about 1/16th of inch of the back end and it is about 1/16th inch lower than the receiver rail but it suits my needs. 1/3rd the price of the next option."

"I didn't know what to expect out of a quad rail that cost about $150-$200 less than most others out there. I read the reviews at CTD and took a shot. As usual, CTD delivered lightning-fast. It took about 2 minutes to install this on my S&W M&P, fit like a glove, and looks and feels solid. Thanks CTD - and thanks to all who posted reviews of this product so I could make an informed decision."

"VERY nice piece of equiptment here.I found this awesome price, saw the awesome reviews, and a few days later, saw this awesome package on my doorstep! This is my first quad rail install so it took me like 10 minutes. However, once I used some obvious common sense, it went on like a glove. Fit my RRA Elite CAR-4 perfectly, and like everyone else, VERY snug and immoveable. Two thumbs up.Pros: Everything!Cons: A bit heavier and bulkier than I would have expected."

"Out of the 55 reviews i must agree with everyone... yes its great.. and YES! its heavier.. but i mean.. i got it for just a few dollars.. its quite noticable between DD products like i use at at work.. but.. for the money .. and if things hit the fan.. I could always take off the rubber grips around the rails and clock someone with them"

"Like others have said, very impressed with the quailty for the price, fits my DS arms mid-length upper very tightly, no movement at all. A bit bulky, but fits my hand well. "I was a little weary at first but after installing it, without any tools, I was pleased. It was a perfect fit and looks great. I can't beat the price either. It's light weight and is just great. One thing I didn't like so much were the rubber guards, they are kind of bulky, and have the name UTG stamped all over them in big letters. I don't use them anyway. Great product all in all, and will definitely buy another when I get the next AR going."

"This fit my RRA Elite Car A4 perfect. Nice snug fit and easy to install. Pros: Easy install, nice secure fit, looks great, awesome price. Cons: A bit bulky with rubber guards on, so I just leave them off and a bit on the heavy side. But I would definitely recommend."

"Had been searching for a quad rail for my Bushmaster for about a month. Most were either to expensive or too bulky. The UTG is a great compromise. Installs in just a couple of minutes with minimal tools and no modifications. Solid, no movement of any kind once installed. The rail covers offer a comfortable gripping surface when installed. Oh. did I mention a Great Value."

"I bought this the other other day and just installed it on my RRA 6.8spc AR-15. Installation was very easy. The rubber hand guards fit snug and feel great. It looks and feels like a quality product. I would give it 5 bullets, but I was hoping it would have been a little bit lighter. But, my AR-15 overall is still very light, so no complaints. And as an added bonus, my AR-15 looks even meaner. I can't wait to start adding more stuff to it!"

"I ordered this for a Rock River Elite Car A4. I took off the stock hand guards and read the directions. Not too difficult. I learned how to take off and install quad rails from the Marine Corps. I went to put on the top rail and couldn't get it to seat properly. Thinking I might be doing something wrong, I re-checked the directions. Nope, I was doing it right. Tried again, no go. Hmmmm........ I tried the bottom rail. It went on without a hitch. Ok.............?????? I rechecked the directions. The upper half was about 1/8th inch too long. I had to file the entire upper part of the upper rail to get it to fit. It took nearly an hour with a hand file to finally get it to fit. What a pain in the rear! Once it was on it looked and worked great. I just shouldn't have had to spend all of that time with it. I am giving it 3 bullets due to having to MAKE it fit. It is functional and looks good. The rubber armor pads are kind of big but are not bad or that ugly. Was it worth it? Depends, are you a cheap skate and would rather have to do a little work to save some money? If you have money to spare, get another brand. I on the other hand, am using the money saved to buy a reloading press to save even more money! I am glad I bought it, just wished I didn't have to work soooo hard to save a few bucks."

"I bought 2 of these mid-length Quad Rails from CTD. The first one went on my Rock River Arms AR-15 6.8 SPC upper. I replaced the standard plastic fore grip with this and couldn't be happier. It provides plenty of places to attach tactical gear, and because it is aircraft aluminum, it is rock solid. They have a winner with this rail!! I purchased the 2nd one for my home built AR-15 upper with a Bison Armament 6.8 SPC II barrel, along with the Adams Arms Piston conversion kit. I knew it would not fit the piston without modification before I ordered. But, a good friend, and his mill, made enough clearance in the underside of the top rail that the Adams Arms system fit flawlessly. Just a matter or removing some material in the center and on each end of the upper rail with a ball mill, and then you have the necessary clearance. So, instead of spending several hundred dollars for a Quad Rail to fit the Adams Arms Piston system, this and some money to my friend with the mill, got me a wonderful Quad Rail setup. Like I say, without modification, it only fits the normal DI type of AR-15. If you plan to use this with a piston system, do your research ahead of time.Vern"

"Great product fits very securely, it is a little heavy and the rubber rail covers that come with it not great. However, these 2 issues don't take away from the value of this product. I would recommend the Tapco rail covers as they are less bulky, and seem to fit more securely."

"I have been wanting a railed forearm ever since i got my dsa m4. Didn't see the need to pay 200 to 300 dollars for a rail for what i use it for. This railed was built alot better than i expected and fits tight! I have had a green laser on it and a surefire light on it for a couple hundred rounds and the laser stays on out to 50 yards. I know its not tight enough to mount accurate optics on but is fine with what i use it for It might be heavier than the others, but it is perfect for what i do with it. When i decide to free float my rifle then i will put it on my beowulf. Good product"

"Just happened to be shopping here one day and saw that CTD had a mid-length hand rail here, so I clicked. I read the reviews and saw there was 2-3 reviews who had placed this item on a DS Arms mid-upper. I had one on the way too. I placed the order for this rail, and recieved it the next day along with my upper from the other shipping company. This was tight getting on in place. Once I put it together though, it was just as tight as my free float that I have on my other AR. I especially love the the additional screws to secure the two pieces together. I also ordered the 18 slot rail ladders to substitute for the rail panels. The ladders fit perfect without having to cut and fit like I had to with the other more expensive rails. Glad I went this route and saved about $300 bucks. I highly recommend this product. Thank you CTD!"

"I purchased a .50 Beowulf entry upper that has a fixed gas block with the triangle front cap, plastic handgrip, and delta ring. Too much work and money to install a floating quad rail. This two piece quad rail installed in seconds, and fit nice and snug. Installed a foregrip on it and was nice and secure when shooting the .50 Beowulf. I am very pleased with this product!"

"I order the mid-length instead of the carbine length by mistake, but CTD actually took VERY good care of my error and swapped them in no time! So, I have had this item (carbine length) for about 9 months now and it works great. It was installed on my DPMS M4 (.223) with vertical grip, and light on the side. For the money it is 100%. It is a bit heavier than some, but it really locks in tight and is easy to install. It has passed the test so I recommend for anyone not wanting to spend crazy amounts for a rail."

"I had recently ordered the medium length forearm on accident and when I received the forearm I realized it was too long. On top of that it seemed to me that the front end of the forearm took a triangle disk after the gas block. I went through the installation instructions and thats where I found a picture of the triangle disk, the forearm also seemed pretty heavy. CTD was great though. I called them with my problem and shipped it back for the UTG pro series carbine length, fit amazingly."

"Why in God's name would you spend one or two hundred dollars on handguards when these are available for 60?! They snap right in place of the ugly rounded plastic guards without a hitch and have 4 allen screws to provide rock solid fitment and they come with rubber type rail covers. Excellent product."

"$100 for a well-made foregrip that comes with included covers for ALL rails sounds pretty good, right? How about $80? $60, really?! Yup, well that's about what you'll pay for these well-made forearm for your AR platform. In my case, the platform was a Spike's Tactical ST15 Mid-Length LE carbine chambered in 5.56. Some big-name makes with free-float-fanciness and the like was considered, but it was truly difficult to turn this package down. Upon unboxing, the finish was excellent. Includes: covers for all rails; allen set screws and hex wrench. Installation is as simple as removing the original handguards and replacing them with this set, and adjusting the set screws... or is it? Well, in my case I had to grind via Dremel tool approximately 1/16\" off the bottom section to make them fit my AR. Once that was accomplished, the fit was fine. I can't really fault UTG/Leapers for this as all AR's, and their respective tolerances, are relatively different. Additionally, the Ergo 3-piece rail covers fit perfectly within the 18-slots of each rail section. The included UTG covers could certainly be used, but I opted for a more low-profile setup with the Ergo ladders. The handguard seems to be made of aluminum, so weight management is decent as well. All-in-all I would highly recommend this handguard/forearm rig."

"I installed this on my bushmaster 308 orc. I did have to cut about 1/8th\" on the inside and the rear of the rail where the rail meets the D ring. The places that I ground were all on the inside so it doesn't shine, not needing to be painted or refinished. The rail is a little heavier than I anticipated and alters the balance of the weapon, but it does help to reduce the overall recoil from the 308 cartridge. Overall, this is a good deal if you are trying not to rack-up a large bill."

"Excellent fit easy installation and well made. It is, however, a bit heavy. My AR15 is now front heavy without any attachments. Nothing a little muscle building won't take care of, but definitely not for feather weights."

"This is a solid, well built product. You won't find a better quad rail for the money. In my opinion, it doesn't even make sense to pay more money for a \"top of the line\" rail system because this all you need."

"I love this hand guard. High quality and wonderful experience ordering, it even showed up earlier then expected. The only down fall is that it didn't fit past the delta ring as easy as expected. Other then that no complaints."

"I ordered the wrong length, sent this back and they sent the carbine promptly, great service. This is a very good buy only reason it gets 4 is because it is a little heavy."

"I don't know why you would spend $200-300 on a forearm... This thing is rock solid and gives you a ton of mounting options. For everyone who says it's heavy, well I really didn't notice and if you put a vertical grip on the bottom it really helps. Throw away the instructions and mount it just like the factory one with the notched side to the muzzle end. I mounted this on my Armalite M-15 and not only did it fit perfectly, its way more solid than the original forearm. I'm very pleased and of course shipping was speedy. Thanks CTD!!"

"As the other reviewers have said, it's somewhat heavy, but overall it's great quality. The fit was very tight on my Armalite M15 A2 midlength, but no filing or extra work was necessary.... I just had to use a knife as a pry-tool to get the lower portion into the delta ring properly. Overall, If you're a civilian, I'd highly recommend it. Zero movement once tightened down properly."

"Installed on my Amalite, had to grind about 1/16\" off bottompiece of quad rail (part that locks in toward the barrel) in order to install. Top fell into place no problem. Other than a very slight modification, was very easy to install. Rock solid and looks great, would recommend over any higher-priced quad rail. Also bought hand guard removal tool, and was very glad I did."

"Put this on my Rock River carbine. I had a hard time getting it in place even with the correct locking ring retracting tool and had to finish it off with a rubber mallet. I hope I never have to take it off because most likely I'll have to cut it off because the fit was so tight. This one is a little heavier than the more expensive models but it works just as well with attachments. I gave it a 4 because of price and function. You may find one a little better but you'll pay a lot more. I mounted a tactical light and vertical grip to this."
