"The stripper clips hold the ammunition in place very well. The problem is the ammunition will not slide out of the stripper clip into the magazine without a lot of force. Easier to load the magazine by hand. Waste of money."
– Duck

"I loaded up a 1,000 rounds on these strippers, they worked great. As for pricing you can't find a better deal anywhere else. I liked them so much that i'm going to order a couple more packages of them."
– James

"These are great, I can fully load a 30-round mag in about 10 seconds or less. I don't know what Duck is complaining about, I even bend those tabs at the end to ensure no rounds slide out accidentally, and even then it's easy to push them out into the magazine. Maybe he doesn't know you need a guide..."

"I used these for five years in the Marines and loaded thousands of rounds and have been looking for them as available to the public. These are great!"

"These work exactly as designed, but don't forget the stripper clip holder if you're actually going to be using these for reloading. Personally I use them for quick loading using the magLULA. Check it out, it's awesome."

"I also have problems getting the ammo to slide down the clip easily. Really takes alot of force. I also bought the M1 Carbine stripper clips and they work great. Did I get a bad pack or am I missing something? I only bought them because of the great reviews."
– DD

"They came in a large plastic bag. Out of the the 100, I used about 45 of them right off the bat. I threw away maybe 8 that were no good. So just know that some of the clips may not be great quality. But for the price I think I did ok."
– Ross

"Here's the thing: I got a couple of 100-clip packs, and inside the plastic bag with the stripper clips was a residue of what appeared to be either dessicant or tumbling media. These little beads got under the brass liner in the clip and interfered with the spring-effect holding the rounds in, making it difficult for them to slide. What I had to do was disassemble all 200 stripper clips, brush the stuff out, use a Dremel tool to wire-brush away a little rust on some of the steel, and reassemble the brass liners into the steel clips. Not hard, just a bit tedious. Anyway, once the beads were gone, the stripper clips performed flawlessly. I'm going to buy more, because the quality is just fine."
– Gaviota

"I too had to disassemble all 100 strippers to get the grit (actually tumbling media) out of them to get them to allow the ammo to slide in them. Very time consuming and will not do that again."
– Spike

"Lets face it, this isn't a new invention. It's what the military has been, and is currently using. It may not be the best method, but it gets the job done. The pack I received from CTD were all brand NEW, as described. No rust or oxidation of any sort. Stripper clips are the best method for long term storage of ammunition while maintaining the ability to quickly load magazines when needed. Stripper clip guides are a necessity in order to effectively load magazines ten rounds at the time, and will also work with Magpul P-Mags."
– Uncle Joe

"I bought this 100 pack along with a couple 10 packs, and without a doubt know what the others are saying about the tumbling media problem. The 100 pack was perfect, no media and all looked brand new as well as acted new as well. The 2 ten packs, however, were a completely useless and were not even close to being new as advertised. They were all run through a tumbler used to clean the clips of rust or other defects and had the media stuck in every crevice big enough for them to get into. Like the other reviews say, if you get a batch of these, might as well send them back or trash them all. I am VERY dissapointed in CTD for passing the tumbled clips off as new or even useable, but I am reviewing the 100 pack of good ones which were awesome, hence the rating I gave under the 100 pack item."
– SCOTT

"These stripper clips were ok but not what you would expect from new. Again, there were tumbling medium problems. Had to junk about half due to grit and malfunction. Hey, for the money, not bad but look elsewhere, you may find better."
– Huntin' Nut

"I was lured by the good price but I was deceived by the advertisement. These are not NEW stripper clips. I imagine they have only been used once but they are not new. Lots of tumbling media caught in the clip which makes it hard to load rounds. I took them apart and cleaned out the media and put them back together. Again; they are NOT NEW! I would also not consider them new condition."
– Sean

"I saw some bad reviews on this, but took a chance. The package I got looks like all new product, no tumbling media residue at all.I think these are brand new. In fact, most of them have a tab closed in on one end, open on the other. Ready to load, in other words. The function just fine."
– dgci

"Took a chance on a bag of these despite some of the reviews. They looked brand new to me. No trace of tumbler media or rust. Almost all of them had one tab bent and one flat, made for easy loading. I'll be ordering more."

"I purchased these on 24SEP08 and there was no tumbling media on any of them, looks like that problem is solved. They looked just as new as the ones I used to get in the Army Item condition: NEW.Also for a you people who have not loaded thousands of rounds using these or figured this out already. Step one: Place stripper clip in guide. Step two: Push down and slightly rearward on the REAREST portion of the top round. Do not let the whole thing cant forward. Also these are not foolproof sometimes they just don`t work well. I have found that is was something I did not the stripper clip. If you want good stripper clips buy these."
– Sgt Miller

"I received the stripper clips last week and they were all as close to perfect perfect as one would expect. Out of the 100 clips not one end tab was broken nor was there a speck of rust on any of them. Only one stripper clip had to be pinched on an end. Great and I will be buying more. Thanks CTD."

"Not bad..95 out of 100 are usable. They did have tumbler media but tapping them removed most. The 5 bad ones had broken/missing tabs or corrosion where the shell slides."

"I ordered two packs on Monday (2/2/09), they were delivered Wednesday (2/4/09). Normal shipping may take longer, as I'm not far from Ft. Worth. Out of 200 strippers, only one had no tabs. A few had tabs bent in or down, but were easily adjusted. No tumbling media in the strippers themselves, but a fair amount in the bags. Definately a good buy, and if I need more, this is my first choice."

"Just got my stripper clips about an hour ago... took a chance and bought two packs of 100. I was prepared for a little light cleaning, but when I opened the box I was overjoyed to see that it wasn't just a little extra grit here & there... it looks more like these were shoveled up from the ground and dumped into a bag. The good news is that cleaning them is pretty easy, but it's going to take a while and will be quite monotonous. I think I'd have rather paid a few bucks more to save the time. Maybe I can put my boy to work cleaning them up as a form of punishment for not doing his homework. :)Out of the first 10 I've cleaned, I've mangled one and found rust in another... swap meet anyone?"

"I ordered 5 packs of these back on 4/21 and have since loaded them all up. The stripper clips do arrive with a lot of tumbling grit, but a little time with an air compressor took care of that. I also recommend running the first bullet through the full length a couple times just to make sure there is no more grit left. Out of 5 packages there were about 10 clips that weren't usable because of either missing tabs or the channels were bent/dimpled which resulted in bullets being able to fall out.Yes, there were quite a few clips that seemed to have \"extra holding power\" and loaded a bit dry, but with the use of the Strip-lula the bullets came off the strip easily."
– CTRob

"I currently have about 5000 rounds on these stripper clips and they have all been clean & in good shape when I got them. About 3 percent will end up with a broken tab, either shipped that way or after it's bent once, but they can still be used with a little tweaking. CTD says that these can be re-used dozens of times, and while that is technically true, you must remember that they were designed to be use once and then discarded. Stripper clips are an all around great way to store ammo for when the SHTF."
– Jeff

"For such a small amount, a great buy for the money. All were used but none had any flaws that I could see on initial inspection. Some media in the package but no big deal. Glad they were cleaned up. The only reason for the four bullet review rating is due to that all the strpper clips were used. Otherwise, would have been a five bullet review. Will buy this item again when needed."

"I just received my bag of 100 stripper clips and the AR 15-mini 14 magazine loading guide. The clips were in new, excellent condition. I have yet to notice a bad egg in the bunch--and the guide works great with my factory 20-rd mags."

"Ordered on Monday got them today on Wednesday (CTD got to have the best shipping of them all) other than some media in the bags, I could not find anything realy wrong with them. The price is hard to beat if you can let me know, I went to a Military Surplus store in town and thy wanted $1.00 apiece for them, I told them they were heavily medicated. Buy them if you need to store your 223's you can't go wrong for the price."

"I bought these as a surprize gift for my Father. I bought him a Strip-lula Speed Loader and saw the YouTube video of the stripper clips being used with the Striplula. My Father loves these stripper clips. At first they were a little rough, but after cycling them a couple of times, they loosened up. It is an awesome way to store the ammo as well."

"Of the 2 bags of clips that I bought it's like someone threw a handfull of sand in each of them. If you don't mind having to take apart every single clip to remove the sand then this is a decent buy for the price. Oh and i had to throw away about 6 of them because of rust."
– Glee

"No sand in there. The particles in bag are not sand, they are bits of steel left over from the manufacturing. These are in excellent condition, they worked great, this is the best way to fast fill your mags in an emergency. I will be buying more."

"Ordered on Wednesday, on the doorstep Friday. CTDs shipping always rocks! Now,about the stripper clips. I got two packs of 100, have worked my way through one pack so far. No broken tabs, but some had significant tumbling media in the channels up each side. Loaded up a few right away, some were snug and/or grabby, but they still worked OK with my LulaStrip loader. Decided to clean out the rest before using, and found that the wire bail handle on my Chinese take-out carton is just the right diameter to ream the channels out. Cleaned 60-70 out while watching the ball game no sweat. Even with having to clean them, I count them as a good value for the price. I will order at least a couple more packs."
– FlyDaddy

"I bought 200 of them and had 5 or so that were unusable. I took every one apart because there was tumbling media bits and pieces in them that caused the cartridge base to bind on the stripper clip. Even with the extra work to make them usable I'd still buy more if I needed them."

"I was going to get a slightly more expensive speed loader, but then again I'm a cheap b@$7ard. Strangely they where all in varying conditions. Most of the clips had this abnormally tight new feeling to them. Amazingly enough buying these clips helped me store my 500+ rounds of assorted ammunition more efficiently."
– Mr Dowdy

"Out of the first 200 I've used so far, 92 had to be taken apart and cleaned and 8 had broken tabs. If they were brand new and clean, they'd cost a lot more, so I'm not griping about it, I'm just giving my experience. I'd buy them again."

"Good shape clips. There were only a few highly fatigued tangs that broke when touched (3tangs of 200clips). Very filthy (strait out of the tumbler no rinse?) packed full of tumbling media or sand, couldn't tell. Is this normal? After taking all apart and getting all the trash out from under the spring plate they worked great. Would be five bullet rating if not for all the labor involved in cleaning."
– Slick

"Great buy on these! They do need a little work to make fully functional, but its worth every minute. I've spent a couple evenings in front of the tube; disassembling them, brushing out all the cleaning media with a lightly oiled toothbrush. When put back together, they work slick and easy. A couple of tossers out of a hundred, but will be adding another pack to my next order.I wish CTD carried the StripLULA for my Mini-14 mags. I only use Ruger mags with my mini (as they always work). While the AR15 StripLULA they do carry works with some after-market mini-14 mags, you really need the Mini-14 version for factory mags. Anyway -- put these strips in a StripLULA loader (which, btw, is pocket sized and very easy to use), and you can reload mags in a few seconds."
– Sean

"Like the previous posts, yes they are dirty from the warehouse. But think about it people, you get 100 of them for cheap! Took me a few days to clean them all out but, you know that you can buy the same thing at your local gun store (at least ones around here) for way more. Again, CTD has the greatest shipping. Only problem was the guides are scratched up on my Brownell mag, but hey, they're not made of gold."

"Expect to clean. Gave a few to a friend that pointed out they had gravel in them.. Took mine apart and sure enough lots of small black gravel in the stripper clips. Very few have broken tabs. 4 bullets, because I have to clean 200 pieces."

"These are a must have and I am thankful CTD has them available. I just ordered 200, got them in and had to spend the evening cleaning and loading them. Once cleaned they worked great and were in great condition. I only noticed one that had broken tabs and one that was a little loose to hold a bullet, but that was easily fixed with a small squeeze with a set of pliers. One bag contained 100 exactly, the other bag contained 94.... I'm not upset though and its worth the time it takes to clean them in my opinion. I will be ordering more."

"These went out of stock for a few days earlier this month. When they showed back in stock I ordered two packs. To my surprise, mine were pretty clean. This gritty stuff people are talking about was not present in the several that I pulled apart to check. I loaded three and filled a mag with no problems."

"I ordered a pack of a hundred. 102 were in the package. These had been used once. All the tabs were intact, clean, no grease and in great shape. I used them right out of the box they came in and didn't have to clean them or anything. I'll be ordering another couple of packs. These are great, and will really save your thumb from getting torn up when loading mags."

"These stripper clips work exactly as expected. There were one or two clips that were missing a tab, but they still work just fine. I did find this fairly messy with lots of residue on my hands after loading several hundred rounds. I also purchased the ARR-038 stripper clip guides. They work too, but I much prefer the ARR-603 speed loader, it's much easier on the thumbs!"

"I ordered 2 packs. One was clean and perfect. The other was dirty and full of large pebbles stuck in the clips. Not sure why the difference. Anyway the clean pack is 5 star for value/quality. The other pack is 0 stars...trying to return it as I wouldn't use these to load ammo. Hope you get the clean pack!"

"These are 'new' strippers, but have been used once. Whoever was the first to use them dropped them in the dirt or something as there was a bunch of crud under the spring plate making them a real pain to load and unload them. I don't really have the time to pick and poke all the junk out of them. Would not buy again. I'll load mags with my hands. Maybe you'll have better luck with these than I did. 3 bullets because CTD is still pretty reliable."

"This was my first order with CTD. I order the clips plus the charger on a Monday and by Wednesday I received it. It came in a plastic baggy and as far as I can tell, all the clips are brand new. No speck of dirt was found. Placing rounds into the clip was easy and the clip held them tightly. Using the charger, it was easy to load both USGI and P-Mags magazines. Will plan to order more"

"As always, extremely happy with CTD. 101 in my bag and all in perfectly functional shape, not rocks as said by others and only minimal grease. Best deal one can find on these, and I can't think of one good reason not to have a large supply of these!"

"Okay, I ordered two packs of these and they needed some work at first. I had to pull the brass out of each clip and brush out the dirt that was clogging them up. After that they work like a charm. I'd rather load 3 of these than 30 individual bullets. These clips are worth the money...and the extra work."

"Bought two packs and should have bought four. They are now out of supply at CTD. They should have tripled their order from whomever they get their supply. When, and if, they get some more, I plan on buying 10 packs. Strip clip loading is 5 seconds for a 40 rd mag. Grabbing a field load is quick and allows the taking of less mags and more ammo. Thanks, Cheaper Than Dirt. You are the suppliers for us. Get some more in now!"

"My daughter and I spent an afternoon loading up stripper clips, hot gluing the silencers and filling the silencers with strippers. As we would get several strippers full, I hot glued the bottom flaps, put in three strippers and set the box on its end. Worked like a charm and gave my daughter and I a pleasant hour or so. "Thank you for the fast shipping, brand new stripper clips in a bag of 100. Already in my ammo can and ready for the range."

"Using stripper clips makes for more rapid & convenient loading in the field. Combined with a StripLula device, reloading any AR mag is wickedly fast compared to one-at-a-time. In deference to Duck, a little practice smooths out the process. Well-made product. Works as described. Would (and do) recommend."

"Appear to be good quality. I loaded 60 of these after getting a couple boxes of 300rd loose. They are snug, but not tight. I don't know how they will handle multiple re-loads, but they seem solid."

"Just like in the military. These are the real McCoy and work great. I have several thousand rounds ready to go on these when the SHTF. Hope they get more back in stock."

"Excellent quality stripper clips, just as described. Bought these with intent of putting my newly purchased 1000 rounds on them, unfortunately was shorted six strippers. But when buying in bulk that's a risk you take.. If you plan on exactly 100, buy a few extra just in case, still totally worth it."

"I purchased a pack of these for the bulk 5.56 I ordered from CTD, and it was almost a shame to load em up and use em, nice and new! as easy to use as I remember in the service!"

"As advertised. New USGI stripper clips. If you have problems with the USGI clip guides spend the 20 dollars on the Mag Lula Strip Lula loader. You will be able to load 30 rounds in about 30 seconds or LESS, with practice."

"They work exactly as they should and they are brand new, Not surplus used ones that most sites sell. The price was much better than what I have paid for used surplus ones."

"I have been using stripper clips for many years while serving in the infantry as well as keeping up on my own personal marksmanship skills. These clips are exactly what we use in the Army. They are not supposed to be easy to slide the rounds off and into the magazine, it does take some force."
