"I didn't purchase this expecting much. It did not let me down. This is not for anyone using there rifle in any kind of harsh environment. It is made of what I think is Brass. It is higher than your typical post so to have a proper true zero for 50 yards it sticks above the guards. From the moment I held it in my hand I could tell this would not take any abuse. It did assist me in targeting for just punching holes in paper, but takes an extra split second to focus in quickly. So dont go crawling around the woods with this little device sticking out. Ross"

"This sight isn't too bad. It was kinda tough to install properly but eventually I got it. After getting it zeroed it was pretty accurate. However it won't take any abuse. The wires eventually bent out of place and couldn't be bent back to their original position. Had to throw it away because it got pretty worn and torn over the small amount of time that I had it. I wouldn't recommend this, but if you be careful not to abuse it you shouldn't have a problem. (I have a Bushmaster AR-15 [and I only wish it had a flat-top upper receiver] but it hasn't been very reliable to us. There's usually something wrong with it but it seems after numerous upgrades and trips to the gunsmith we got it worked out. With the amount of money we've poured into it we might as well have bought a DPMS Flat-top AR-10, which I would prefer)"

"I have not used this hunting, nor under harsh conditions. However, this hooded duplex sight was the best idea for shooting AR15s with iron sights since the A2 adjustable rear sights. I've been shooting ARs since 1977 and at 50 yrs. old, its hard to see that skinny stock-post of a front sight pin between those front ears. Well, the minute you raise that rifle, those duplex cross hairs inside of that hood just \"pops right out in front of you\" and you just can't miss between 50-100 yrds. If my eyes were better, I'd likely say 200 yds. Don't know if it'll stand up to abuse, but buy it anyway. For the price, you just can't go wrong."

"I have used this sight for a total of 2 days of shooting, so far and it has performed great. Works just like advertised and makes target acquisition a piece of cake. It now takes me less time to get on target and fire. For me, it made it much easier to shoot long distance with the iron sights. I was able to keep my rounds with in a 10\" diameter at 150 yards using iron sights. I think it has to do with the \"aligning circles\" idea (circle within a circle sights). My only complaint is that some of your adjustment is gone. It can only be adjusted in increments of 180 degrees instead of the factory sight which allows 90 degree movements. And even then, my real complaint is that there are still 4 notches for the post to \"lock in\", but the sight is only usable in 2 notches... This complaint is so meaning less its funny."

"I bought this sight but it only has one draw back I had it in my safe, it fell on the gun next to it was not that far when I took it out it was smashed they are made of very weak material, so if you're in a bind and need it hopefully you can point shoot."

"I recommend this for anyone who shoots open sights @ 100+ yards. The typical AR blade obscures the target at this distance so you really aim at a blocked off bullseye. The thin wires allow you to point on shoot at the \"eye\". It makes all the difference! Low light you can't see the cross wires, but the round outer rim aligns with your rear peep sight so overall I shoot better even in low light! No issue with durability of the cross wires with good care."

"All AR 15 should come wit htis front site. It is really easy use and target acquatition is very fast. LOVE IT!!!!!"

"This is a must, makes target acquisition very easy and you can see what you are aming at at 100 yrds. It takes the guess work out of the equation at this distance since I find that the other front sights tend to block your target. Also makes boresighting very easy. A must have."

"This is an excellent addition to the right AR. Target acquisition is great in low-light conditions. The crosshairs are small enough not to interfere with target visibility and identification. It was easy to install and holds tight. Yes, there are only 180 degree adjustments for it, but if you're looking for sub MOA accuracy there are a lot of other changes you'll need. This is an excellent sight for varmint shooting. Obviously it has the potential to be destroyed with enough abuse, as are most things. If you are willing to spend over a thousand dollars for a personal weapon, ideally you should take care of it."

"Had to add flip up sights to my Optics Ready AR for a qualification shoot. In searching for a sight that was quick on target acquisition, like my EOTech, I decided to try this. I am pleased with the fit and finish of this product. Despite the previous reviews about the durability of the cross wires, I found them to be well protected by the thick loop. The only drawback is in low light. For the price of this product, you get every cent worth of value."

"I couldn't agree more with the other reviews. This is an awesome addition to my AR. It's easy to install. I just used the tip of my 5.56 round. A small Allen wrench might also work. I haven't lost sight of the cross hairs like others have explained, but the ring is always there. A must buy."

"GREAT service from CTD. I bought this for my S&W M&P15. Easy to install using a sight tool, which I also bought from CTD. Quick target sighting, quick follow-up shots. I love it. I hope it holds up better for me than some of the older reviewers (2008)."
