"Just added this to my M4......first disappointment.....made in China.... Base is solid, mounts very easy...however this grip is not stable, it wobbles. It's going into the flea market bin. Don't waste you money on this Chinese piece of crap."
3.0 5
"I got this because I like foregrips for the stability. I like this one because it give me the choice to fold it up just like a regular grip or down for more support. It is really good for people with big hands because it is bigger than most grips. It is worth the money for it and its the best I have used so far."
1.0 5
"I read the previous review but didn't listen and ordered this item despite the warning. It wobbles very badly when locked in the down position. It doesn't feel at all sturdy and I would venture to say that the locking mechanism would break with a minimal impact. Do not purchase this foregrip, you will be disappointed with its quality."
4.0 5
"I read all the previous reviews and wasn't expecting much. Yes it has a little wobble to it but nothing crazy.I think it is a great value. So far its my favorite foregrip."
5.0 5
"I have this same grip for my AK-47. I was surprised to see the poor reviews on it.... My AK has way more kick than the AR, and it does wobble a little... It wobbles from front to back a little and it sturdy enough to never worry about. It is sturdy enough to not even budge left to right. It is high quality and works fine ! ! ! I ma not dissatisfied at all with this grip, in fact I am buying another one to fit on my other rifles with a Picatinny rails... Buy it, it is a good grip, and it folds and has a battery compartment, a must if u got tac lights/lasers..."

"I just received this grip by fedex and slid it on my ak-47 (m70ab2 underfolder). I'm happy with it. The wobble is very minimal and due to the fact that it folds. My "old school" vertical grip has zero wobble, but then it doesn't fold."
4.0 5
"I fit this to my Mech-Tech CCU for the 1911 and it is just right. Very sturdy with almost no "wiggle" or play. The button to unlock it for moving positions it firm and required deliberate pressure to push in so no chance of accidentally folding it while shooting. The screw on compartment for batteries or storage is so tight that it is hard to open. Thats a good thing so no worries about it unscrewing at the range. All in all a great purchase that works just as advertised."

"I bought this for my Rock River CAR A4 which has a UTG quad rail on it. The grip is well built and has a solid feel to it. It is taller then other models out there as well. There is a lot of back and forth movement on the picatinny rail as much as over a quarter inch which some people it might not bother. It is fine for now but I am going to be looking for a grip that does not move as much."
5.0 5
"Locks tight to the weaver rail with no shake. At the hinge point there is a very small amount of play but it is very little. All the locking positions are very firm. There is no chance it would move around while shooting. The battery/storage compartment cover screws in very tightly. It will not unscrew while shooting and needs a good bit of force to unscrew by hand. The push button for adjusting the angle is also very tough to push in so even if you touch it while shooting there is no way you will collapse the grip. All in all a very good buy. Looks cool too."
4.0 5
"The hing is perfect. The compartment threads are not perfect. But the big issues is that it does shake b/c the slot for the rail it too big. But I didn't want to wait for government handouts to fix it. I got black electrical tap and layered in the rail slot. Guess what it's more sturdy then a political promise."
5.0 5
"I put this on my UTG rail on my AK. Unlike what the other people experienced, mine fit great and I had no problems. For the money it was worth it to me."
4.0 5
"This product for the price is a great deal. I placed this on my AR-15. It has worked out great. Sturdy product. It was a little loose at first but I was able to tighten on the rail that I placed it on and it doesn't jingle at all. You are able to locked the position into 4 different settings which is nice."
4.0 5
"This foregrip mounted quick and easy. There is no movement on the rail as long as you tighten the base with the included allen wrench. It looks great in the vertical or horizontal positions on my M&P15T. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 bullets, is there is some minimal wobbling when the grip is the vertical position. However, it isn't enough to effect functionality."
4.0 5
"I put one of these on my Mini-14, and it works great! Buy with confidence! The reviewers who said that it wobbles apparently don't know how to use an allen wrench to tighten it - once that is done, it will not move at all."
5.0 5
"just installed on the quad rail on my AK47. this is a nice grip. sturdy, solid mount, and has storage space. it is quite long (5 inch) but folds nicely forward or back making for a compact package. this helps with carrying in gun bag and safe storage. i recomment this grip to all."
4.0 5
"I got one of these for my AR and it worked great. Has storage compartment for batteries, gives good grip to hold on. Folds up with no problem seems pretty durable. I like it especially for the price, you cant beat it."
5.0 5
"What a difference this grip makes! Went to the range last week, took my AR, with this grip on it. Way better than using the fore arm to steady your weapon. I have found that using a vertical grip like this improves targeting, you get the advantage of being able to hold your target with a lot more stability, and you have the added feature of the optional battery/bolt storage. I've seen grips like this go for 2-3 times this price, why pay the extra, you get quality at a great price, quick shipping too will definitely shop CTD again."
5.0 5
"I read all the reviews, despite the two negative ones I bought the product and with no surprise I'm very pleased with it. It fit snug on the rail of my shotgun foregrip before I even tightened it. In fact, I'd say that if it's loose then the problem is with your rail NOT the grip. It doesn't wobble or slip or come unlocked and fold even when I put the entire weight of the Mossberg 500 fully loaded (8 rounds) with the weight of the extra 11 rounds held on the weapon on the grip. Very good product, I'd recommend to anyone."
5.0 5
"I decided to tighten the screw until somethig broke or until the grip tightened. The grip tightened up very firm, so dont be afraid to apply some torque to that allen wrench."
2.0 5
"I bought this grip along with the hand guard mounted rails. The grip does not fit tight at all, there is a LOT OF PLAY, no matter how much I tighten it (so much that the locking screw is sticking WAY out the nut). I made a shim from the packaging plastic and now its rock solid, maybe too solid because now its VERY difficult to adjust the position of the grip on the rail itself. I dont plan on removing it often so its not that big of a deal. Based on my situation and all the other reviews I think the issue is the quality of the rails, not the grip itself. Now that it's shimmed up solid on the rail I cant complain about the grip other than to suggest it could be a little more ergonomical and also the storage cap can easily be misthreaded. On the positive side it locks in position very securely, there's minimal play in the hinge, the button must be intentionally pushed and the storage compartment seals well. I would give 5 bullets if I was absolutely 100% sure the play was in the rail and not the grip."
1.0 5
"I too tried to tighten this because it was way too loose. I too stripped the nut supplied w/handle. It's not worth the hassle to return it, so I will fix and modify it to fit and work properly. I did try this on several types of rails, and it didnt tighten up on any of them."
4.0 5
"Awesome grip and very comfortable. As people stated about cranking down on the bolt and striping, just use lock tight and be careful. I did not have any problems out of mine, I attached this to a 10/22 ruger I have with a Tapco stock, this thing "looks" mean. Great product, would recomend to any wanting a nice grip."
5.0 5
"I put this on my S&W M&P 15-22 and it fit flawlessly. Easy to install and it's locked on like a vice grip. I've read some of the other reviews and wondered if these grips just vary from product to product because like I said, mine fit PERFECTLY. Everyone that shoots my rifle comments on how comfortable the grip is. Sorry to hear about all the other issues some customers are having...it's a great grip in my opinion and I can only reccommend it as it was everything I expected it to be. Happy shooting!!!"
3.0 5
"This locked onto my rails well. There are panels to facilitate the use of pressure switches on the grip and there is a storage compartment. My rifle is heavy and this handle wiggles at the joint where it is adjusted. It just isnt very well built I would have bought a different one, but it does serve the purpose."
4.0 5
"I was skeptical when I ordered this part due to the fact that the price was a lot less than others like it on the market, and the other comments that were left about it not fitting properly. I bought this for my AR-15. I have a quad rail made by Troy and this thing installed like a glove. Dont be afraid to tighten the nut with a little muscle. I shot 160 rounds and the foregrip stayed in place with no movement what so ever. It also looks cool and since it folds away still fits in my bag. It also can store batteries. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars? On the packaging it states, it can hold two AA batteries, unless I'm doing something wrong, there is NO WAY this thing holds two AA batteries. Outside of that, this thing is cool!"
4.0 5
"I have no complaints about this grip. It installed easily and fits well on my AR. It seems pretty solid and makes a heck of a rest for bench shooting off a porch rail. The storage is a plus. Not a bad deal for the money."
5.0 5
"I mounted this grip on the front of my Predator Custom Shop AR-15.This thing works great. Had it for 6 months. I have been through many drills at the combat range and this grip has remained extremely tight with no issues. I am buying one for my custom Mini-14. I would recommend this product."
1.0 5
"I recently received this as a gift and i will tell you right now do not bother. I mounted it on my CMMG AR15 w/ troy quad rail and it was so loose between the picatinny rails i was afraid to shoot with it on for fear of it messing up my rail system. Total piece of crap - i wouldn't mount this on an airsoft gun."
4.0 5
"This foregrip was a perfect fit on my quad rail and has very little play when mounted correctly. The storage compartment capwas stubborn to unscrew, but a tiny dab of silicone grease on thethreads fixed it forever. Pressure switches fit good in the housings. Good product."
5.0 5
"I bought this originally for my shotgun that has a picatinny rail on the foregrip. It worked fine, however I prefer the normal shotgun grip when shooting my mossy. So I mounted this on my DPMS Panther Arms AR15 and it adds for a comfortable, solid grip. There is little to no movement in the grip and it attaches nice, easy, and solidly. So far I have 100 rounds through my AR and that will soon change."
4.0 5
"I have to admit I was a little worried about this vertical grip at first but after I mounted this on my DPMS AR-15 and fired about 40 rounds through it my worries were gone. Fits nice and tight on my YHM free-float rail, grip feels comfortable. It does lock into place nicely but theres a little play but not enough to effect accuracy . Battery storage does not store 2023 batteries (not supposed to....just a heads up) but does make a nice storage for earplugs AA batteries or a tool of some kind. Over all a great buy!!!"
5.0 5
"Fits perfectly, easily gets out of the way when you don't need it."
5.0 5
"Bought this not really expecting much. Big surprise, Leapers finally got something right! No problem with fit, swivel button works fine and locks solidly. Side inserts for mounting pressure switches is a nice feature and the end cap seals with an "o" ring. Storage area will hold TWO CR-123 Lithium batteries, not three and it sure won't hold two AA batteries but CR-123s are what most weapon light systems use and the big spring inside the screw cap keeps everything nice and quiet. Going to order another one of these to replace the TAPCO vertical grip I bought for my Mini-14 when I put the TAPCO FUSION STOCK SYSTEM on it. Actually think the Leapers is a better buy since it will fold out of the way and also give you a dry place to carry a couple of CR-123s."
4.0 5
"Nice grip, sturdy, works nice with my AK now I can get a 40 round mag in and not have it hit the grip. It does have a very very slight wobble but I think I can fix it with some epoxy. Worth the $ 100%"

"I have a Remington 870 with a Surefire brand picitiny rail front stock. With this mounted on it my 5'-4" tall wife can actually reach all the way up to grip it. Without it she alway grabs the magazine tube behind the stock and can't reach to get action cycled. For me, at 6' and 260# it's a nice addition. There is a little play in it, but not so much to impede function. The simple push-button position change is nice. I think a threaded draw bar design would make it a lot more solid. It's cheap and it works. I'm glad I got it."
4.0 5
"It is a Good grip. However, I decided I am in favor of fixed grips. This is due to the somewhat unavoidable "wiggle" found in this folding one. Everything else is awesome. The end cap seems to be well built, and the side panels are good. Adjusting it is smooth and easy."

"After a sloppy fit, I came back here to see what other people were experiencing. I then tried it on other set-ups I have. Some you would have to pound on, some were perfect, some were sloppy. The one I was using it on, AR w/NCStar full rail(11-1/2") was sloppy 7/8 of the way down & tight where it was too close to use.I modified other peoples fixes from here, and black duct taped the area on the rail, to pad out the area I wanted it to mount. It tightened up OK. I realized my rails on 5 guns, with top rails, bottom rails, side rails all differ a little bit, even on the same gun.So much for mil-spec.This is a decent grip, that tolerances are probably better than the rail systems we are putting on our guns. Mike"

"I have this product for my standard issue M-4 Carbine that I have been using on both mounted, and dismounted patrols for nearly the last three months here in Baghdad. I love that I can collapse the grip when I am mounted in either a cramped 1151 or a larger MRAP. With a quick push a button to have a perfect sized grip at my disposal for dismounted patrolling. I went to the range yesterday and shot both in the prone supported, prone unsupported, kneeling, and standing using the grip in three different settings. All worked better for one position or another. I thought I was going to be disappointed when purchasing the grip, but after receiving the product disappointment was the last thing on my mind! I know there are better products out there, but on my pay grade I couldnt ask for anything more. Thank you CTD!"

"I received the grip today and installed it on my M4 with NC Star rails. The grip fit perfectly! It folds and unfolds easily and is very convenient when storing the gun away. Very nice product for the price."
4.0 5
"I don't have an AR15, but I put this on my heavy CETME 91 which weighs about 27 lbs, and it holds up good on the new rail forend I bought."
2.0 5
"It fit really loose on the rail. I shouldn't have to apply electrical tape to properly use this grip. I will use it with tape, but a 2 BIG thumbs down!"
5.0 5
"I bought this along with the UTG free floating quad rail. It slid right on the rail, tightened, and it works just fine. I have not had the same problem as others with it being too loose."
4.0 5
"This is a GREAT product for the price, it REALLY is. Fits any picatinny rail, not just AR's, for those of you who are new to this sorta thing. Mine fit pretty loose, but I'm absolutely baffled that some of you used TAPE to fix this. Not necessary! All I did was take a small folded piece of paper and slide it in between the rail, and the grip mounting when you put it on. You can't even see it! It was tricky at first but only took about 15 minutes to get it down and perfect. The thing is seriously solid as a ROCK now! Hope this helps folks :)"
4.0 5
"The one I ordered was a bit loose also. My guess is that because the base is one solid pieces instead of two pieces, UTG made it with some play so it'll slide on easily. I put a good amount of torque on the allen screw. That about did the trick. The vertical grip itself is loose on the base. I gave it 4 stars because it can be put in 5 positions at the push of the button. Not as rock solid as a rigid foregrip. Great for the price."
5.0 5
"I really like this product, it fits perfect once tightened down."
3.0 5
"This grip is good at best. Its not bad but not great either. The hinge dosent feel solid. It feels like I could break it if I pulled on it to hard. It is loose when folded out, but that dosent really bother me. This grip is also a little longer than i would like it to be by about an inch. If you don't need a foldable grip, than I would recommend a different grip, but in my case it works fairly well overall and great for its price. I am using It on my Ak and I needed a foldable grip so I can use 30 round mags without having the grip all the way out front on the rifle."
4.0 5
"I would have given this grip 5 bullets but haven't actually fired the weapon with the grip yet. It fits on my M4 rails nice and tight. I like it because you can fold the handle forward or backward. I am ordering another one for my full size AR15."
4.0 5
"This thing works really good. Cut outs for pressure switches for lights/lasers. Storage compartment for batteries or whatever. Only problem with this item that in the locked position it wiggles a little bit, but nothing serious."
5.0 5
"It works great on my Saiga .308. Great price too!"
4.0 5
"Mounted it on my AR today, and it appears to be a very well made item. I am a little concerned about the wiggle it has, but other than that, good product."
4.0 5
"Bought this for a S&W M&P 15. Fits tight (was tight to get on rail) and looks good. Haven't shot it yet, hence only 4 stars for now.. Good buy for the money!"
4.0 5
"Nice folding grip for the money. Money well spent."
4.0 5
"I was kind of worried about this after all the reviews but it fit with ease and is solid. Fits my Galil great and is just the right size for my hand. For the people that didn't like it you are way to picky"
4.0 5
"Great foregrip for the price on my SKS...very nice while shooting with the bipod for a little more stability and quicker target acquisition...don't be afraid to crank down on it to get it tight on rail!!"
4.0 5
"Very, very small amount of play. Other than that the grip is perfect. Glad I got it."
5.0 5
"I read all the reveiws before I bought this grip. Of course there's going to be a VERY SMALL amount of play. Its adjustable and it has a pivot point that's just physics. It is extremely solid. My AR is very front heavy and I am able to carry the entire weapon by the grip without worry. Mounts solid, no slide and not too long. Works great with my light pressure switch. If you have a need for and adjustable grip get this one. If you don't get a fixed position."
1.0 5
"For the $, I'm not really surprised. Here's the deal. I did crank down on the nut and the grip is still very loose- a lot of play. Just so you know, I tried to attached to a Tapco product with picatinny rails. Looks like CTD needs to do a little home work."
5.0 5
"I purchased this grip for my dpms classic. fits great. super easy application. fits extrememly tight on the rail if your not scared to really torque the screw down. very little wobble. for the price I am extrememly satisfied!"
5.0 5
"Got this after reading reviews from this grip and the others. I picked this one because of what others have said about it, but I was a bit scared because of some of the bad reviews. After receiving it, I put it on my M&P 15-22, tightened it down (took lots of torque to do but tightened down reliably) it is SOLID against my rail. yes, there's miniscule movement at the base/handle joint, but like the other reviewer said, that's to be given based on the kind of joint. overall, very solid. I'd recomend. took a while to receive, but that's usps's fault, NOT CTD's. they had it out the same day."
2.0 5
"1. loose upon installation no matter how hard you tighten the screw2. all plastic construction that marred the screw hole once I overtightened the screw a bit.bottom-line... this thing is great if you'll use it with an airsoft rifle. Design can be improved..."
2.0 5
"The problem with this thing is that it's all plastic around the attachment point, and it's not a solid fit at all. Previous reviews say wobble around the handle joint, however I have wobble from the handguard. I also went to town on tightening it down, still has plenty of give."
4.0 5
"Good price, but its a bit loose even when tightened well. I do like it as it folds up and has a storage compartment and a good grip."
1.0 5
"This foregrip is constructed oddly and IMO poorly. The mount is one piece so it has to be slid onto the rail and it does not fit tightly. Because it is one piece, the two sides cannot be drawn together like two piece mounts so no matter how tight you crank on the screw the one piece plastic mount will not clamp on the rail. Another issue is the through bolt that usually fits in a notch on the rail is too thin and allows forward and back movement only about 1/4", but c'mon you have it mounted to a weapon. Unless they make a larger rail system (I am not aware of any) this is uselesss for any type of weapon.I have a RRA AR15 Elite Operator II."
4.0 5
"I have this mounted on my bushmaster car-15 and it's pretty solid- no movement on the rail itself, but on the joint it moves a little, but no big deal. THIS GRIP DOES LOCK IN THE FORWARD POSITION SO YOU CAN MOUNT IT AS CLOSE TO THE MAG WELL AS YOU WANT. I was worried about this, but it locks in all positions forward and backward. thanks cheaperthandirt!!!"
3.0 5
"Looks good... feels bad... Ok for the kids to play with, but would never hold up to serious use."
1.0 5
"Be careful not to overtighten the screws.....it'll go right through and damage plastic part...get an all aluminum grip!"
4.0 5
"I put this on my S&W M&P15X. It was a little loose on the rail, but nothing a little ingenuity couldn't fix. I put a small spring washer under the nut before I tightened it down and now it fits great. There is still a little rattle in the joint. But for the price, not too shabby!"
4.0 5
"I wanted something that could fold down for ease of storage. After installing on my Bushmaster Carbon-15 I was very impressed how solid the grip was mounted close to the magazines, and how I could fold it forward for storage."
4.0 5
"If you have trouble getting the foregrip tight on the rail, you need to put it on, tighten it snug, loosen it, tighten it again, loosen it and tighten it again all the way tight and it will be tight on the rail. Feels good, looks good, good price!"
4.0 5
"Good deal. Little wiggle in articulated part but works great. We shoot on full and it holds. Again good deal."
5.0 5
"I also got this for my Bushmaster AR-15. Tried it pretty far out at first, then moved it as close to the mag as possible. A marriage made in heaven! It folds forward for storage, and love the side plate that holds my pressure pads perfectly. I now have faster target acquisition, with a SOLID pivot point using the "broom-stick" as a lever. I can hold my AR on target much longer, with a MUCH tighter group! I don't know how I ever lived without these!!"
2.0 5
"I bought this to put on my Saiga 7.62. I fired 1 shot and the locking mechanism stripped out, now it will not lock in any position. I dont know if I just got a defective piece or what. The rail mounting is solid plastic so you have to tihgten up the mounting bolt fairly tight to get a strong enough grip to secure it to the rail. I will be contacting CTD for a possible replacement. I prefer to try 2 before I totally condemn a part as junk."
5.0 5
"Ordered this with a rail system, got both of them installed in about 15 min. Comfortable and I like the different postitions, stowed when in its hardcase and down and ready for business."
3.0 5
"It is a little loose in the locking mechanism, tight on the rail, overall its ok. Feels good."
4.0 5
"Good product for the money. The end cap screw on lid is a little hard to reinstall, but you get that with plastic threads. Works great with my light."
5.0 5
"Just installed this on my M4 Carbine. Nice fit. Easy to install. Can't beat this for the price alone, not to mention the ergonomics. It folds forward or back. Will tell all my friends about the great products and service at CTD. Thanks!"
5.0 5
"Nice grip. Fits the hand perfectly; swings forward, back, and middle; and can store two 3 volt batteries (for sight or light) in the bottom. Slide out panels for your pressure switch laser or light. Had it for a while now. Still tight. No jiggle. Just all around sweet. Once again, a must buy. Good Hunting"
2.0 5
"Fits on but is very loose. Wobbles side to side."
4.0 5
"what i like most is you can adjust from vertical to horizontal and in-between, how ever your comfortable. the ONLY problem ive had with it was it moving positions (like from vertical to horizontal) without pushing the button on the side to do that.. maybe i just need to find a way to tighten it some way to keep it from moving."
2.0 5
"Brought this for my son for Christmas, product arrived quickly and looks just like the pictures. The problem we had is it won't tighten on the rail. It locks in place but wobbles around to much, no way to tighten to rail. Sending back to order a different one."
4.0 5
"I was looking for a low budget grip and found this one. Great price and works fine. Other then having to tighten it every once and a while and it being a little wobbly its perfectly fine."
5.0 5
"It's polymer, but it feels great and reacts nicely."
