"I'm not even going to waste the time to explain the good qualities of this hand guard because it is IMPOSSIBLE to mount tightly with the rails at proper position and the gas tube to pass through. I have had this on and off and back on again several times now and no matter how tight the outer ring is on the barrel nut,the inner hand guard nut to hand guard tube tolerance is too sloppy and the hand guard wobbles. It appears as though the gas tube hole and aligning pin holes were just randomly drilled without regard for clocking position of the rails or gas tube. I'm boxing back up as soon as I finish here. The rest of my order was fantastic and shipping was fast as usual. Good work on the rest CTD! Hopefully Leapers just sent a bad batch."

"This hand guard replacement was easy to install. Its fit and finish were great, and the provided hand rail protectors are an excellent bonus, though some seemed much harder to install than others. Just keep in mind this hand guard is high quality aluminum, and adds a noticable amount of weight to the front of your firearm. There were no instructions, but it was quite easy."

"Bought this for my DPMS AR-15 took it to the gunsmith and had it installed. seemed to be an easy turn around install. have shot 500 rounds through the AR and no problems with the lock nut coming loose. everything works just how I'd expect it too and feels much better then the stock front guard."

"I love this free float rail system. It took me about 45 minutes to install from start to finish. Installation requires the use of a short pin drift to remove the front sight pins, a barrel nut wrench to tighten the barrel nut, and a strap wrench to tighten the outer nut. Tip: Snug up the barrel nut then tighten to the next alligned hole. The instructions say to use a little lock tight on the outer nut if you want but it's not necessary, the strap wrench got mine tight enough. I've had it on for a while and it's solid as can be. I replaced the rail covers with low profile covers and like the fit. Performance wise, my groups are noticably smaller."

"This by far is the best rail for the price. This fits my Colt AR-15 like a glove at firs I was nervious that it wouldn't fit my Colt or be lose but I couldn't ask for a better fit. Great product you wouldn't be dissapointed"

"Was a bit nervous when I got it but it turned out to be a great buy. I had a friend help with install with no problems (Some AR instalation knowledge is recomended).I was nervous it would come loose after test firing but held strong. Solid piece."

"Great product for the price, not gone to find any better. Quick and easy to install. And as always CTD was great."

"This product was a great purchase. It fit perfectly on my upper in about 15 minutes. The instructions were clear and concise with nice color pictures. I did have the action block clamp, a strap wrench, a small hammer and punch. With those, it was really a breeze. The quality seems good as well and much better than I was expecting for this amount of scratch. It does seem a bit larger in your hand than the regular carbine forearm, but I have large hands and a vertical grip, so it wasn't an issue for me."

"i got this for christmas from my wife, and all the while i didnt pay for it , i would have gladly and then some , this is the best $$ i never spent, i didnt feel feel comfortable putting it on myself so i paid 20 bucks at my local arms dealer, it is rock solid, comfortable, ergonomic, and adds a nice look to my stag ar, this is all you need, well worth it , people couldnt believe it was so cheap. thanks again CTD, you rock"

"This is a fantastic Free-floating hand guard for manyone who does not care about having a high dollar brand name peice. It did require some slight modification to the barrel nut to accomidate my bull barrel. Yet, it would have probably fit perfectly on a standard barrel.*** Buy a barrel nut wrench *** or borrow one*** and a vise block is also a good idea too."

"This product is machined perfectly and high quality. You cant beat the price for a perfect free float tube. I installed it on my DPMS Panther Lite AR-15. The install took less than a half hour. It fits like a glove, and is a major cosmetic upgrade compared to the plastic foregrip that was stock. The product came with clear, colorful instructions on how to install it. I highly recommend buying or borrowing the following so you dont damage your rifle: Small set of punches (to remove front iron sight pins), rubber mallet (to remove iron sight from barrel), DPMS Receiver Claw Armorer tool (dont damage your receiver with other methods), and the AR-15 Wrench (this is a must). As a preventive measure, I used Loc-tite on barrel nut, and the free float tube threads that attach to the barrel nut."

"This product is by far the best for your buck. Very light weight and easy to install (with the right tools). Came 5 days earlier than expected with standard delivery. Couldn't be happier with CTD. I'll be buying from you again. Only downfall with this rail is it's imported."

"UTG continues to make good products at great prices! This was an excellent upgrade from my standard DPMS handguards. The installation was relatively simple. Make sure you use locktight on the upper receiver threads after you ensure everything lines up right. Takes time to remove the old crap, but take your time do it right and you are rewarded with a high-speed low cost weapon system."
