"A great bipod, just as well built as the one I used in the military. Needed a good cleaning when I fot it. Had a heavy coat of shipping grease and a little rust but well built. If you need a quick use bipod and a durable one, this is it."

"I just received this bipod. I did not realize it was used when I first ordered it, I must have acted so quickly because of the great price. The item is still well worth the price. As the previous review stats the item came with a pretty good coating of grease and some minor rust, nothing a good cleaning and some fine sandpaper wouldn't cure. Overall you get a great clamp on steel bipod (no plastic junk that melts to your barrel) for a great price."

"Works well, kind of rubs the barrel funny gave me a nails on chalkboard feel. But some CLP fixed that. I like this rather than a simple set on BI-pod as I can take it off and it will not get in the way. I recommend this product to anyone who wants the convince of a BI-pod, but not have anything get in your way when not using it."

"Got this in my buddy's order and it is rock solid when deployed. Its made for guns that get used, not show ponys but fit well on the AR, the AK, sks, 30 carb, and moisen and k98 mauser. It will scratch so watch for that but if you bought the gun to use you will be satisfied much more than the cheap plastic one that melts. A drum and one of these turns the heavier mak and ruskie Aks into a poor mans RPK.Price is right, real govt issue."

"In the past i have used two plastic ( 9in. & 12in.) clamp-on's for my AK,AR,SKS, and so on..... This metal one is much better.... As for the sharp edges i cut a couple of pieces of black duct tape ( black electrical tape would do also ) to help smooth out the rough edges...."

"This is an obviously used, but usable, product. It's light-weight & a little dinged up. It isn't quite as sturdy as I'd like, & it's rough around the edges. Gave my barrel a few unwanted scrapes. For the money, it's alright, but I wouldn't quite call it a steal."

"Good little bipod, sturdy, well made and inexpensive to boot. I think a little emory paper and some kind of tape will fix the marring/scratching thing, but that kind of stuff really doesn't bother me that much. Also, this bipod will fit a vast array of bolt action and semi-auto rifles that have a similar bbl. thickness, and even some of the thicker barrels like M38 Mosin-Nagants and the like."

"After being retired from the Corps 42 years I just bought an AR-15. I was looking the original issued bipod and finally found one. My bipod was in great shape. Only complaint is that they used tape to keep it closed. Should have used rubber bands instead. It would be great to find a bipod pouch."
