Winchester USA known as "White Box" has been the standard by which other companies are measured. This ammunition is loaded with high quality Winchester components such as powders, primers and brass cases. The projectiles are typically lead core with a copper jacket which prevents against barrel leading. "I keep this stuff for my S&W M&P9 for home defense. I based my selection on a non-scientific test of a few different personal defense choices offered at the lower end of the pricing spectrum, and found this Winchester 147-grain JHP to work quite well. Never encountered any jams, failures to feed, nor failures to fire with the round. I don't have any data to offer on the expansion performance of this round as compared to others, but this is probably a good round for home self defense - it was as accurate as my handgun (fires to point of aim). Yes, there are other higher priced rounds that may be better, but I don't think you'll be disappointed with this round from Winchester."

"I agree that these rounds are good; fired a few boxes without incident; no misfires. Too bad that they're sold out."

"This is not my primary round. This is my secondary round after all of my premium rounds are used up. I have fired a box through each Glock I have and have had no problems at all. There are better more consistent rounds. Like GS Remington. But, for the price you cannot beat this a good back up hollow point. I keep this in bulk for the most part and only a few hundred of the GS."
