"I tried this brand after having two over-sized wolf cases jam my rifle. They're much more accurate than Wolf brand. It's a little louder, has a bit more kick, and cleaner. Today while shooting, a few rounds produced a large cloud of smoke, yet still less mess to clean up. I've fired just over 200 rounds of this stuff through a WASR-10, and I am quite pleased with it's performance."

"this is good cheap ammo. a lot cleaner shooting than Wolfs mc. Only problem i found is i bought 200 rounds thinking it was fmj when its really a bimetal jacket. Would not recommend if youre going to shoot at an indoor range (they didn't like what it did to there walls and i was told not to come back) but if you are just plinking outside you cant beat the price or quality. I would have given it 5 bullets if it was labeled bi metal jacket and not fmj."

"This ammo is great for the price. I used this through a WASR-10 and had no problems at all. Great for plinking and doesn't hurt your wallet as much."
5.0 5
"I have put around 100 rounds of this through my SKS, and have yet to have a problem. Every Wolf Mil-Classic pack I buy has at least 1 FTF, and I've yet to have a problem with this stuff."
5.0 5
"This ammo is an excellent deal for the price. From what I've shot, this stuff is up to par with every other steel cased brand on the market, and is in my opinion better than Wolf (and cheaper). I've yet to have a jam or misfire with this brand. My Romy eats this stuff like candy. Will be buying more... much more. Stock up while you still can! Thanks CTD!-God bless"

"This ammo is great. I put 100 rounds through my rifle with no problem. I will order a lot more"
5.0 5
"I fired 200 rounds with no problems. Shoots great, fairly clean, and I am buying more! Great price on a great round."
4.0 5
"I bought 100 rds to test this stuff out in my Romy. How did they work? Well I believe I'm gonna grab 200 more. No, make that 300. Great buy."
5.0 5
"I'm sold on this ammo. I liked it before, but love it now. Cleaner than Brown Bear, cheaper than Wolf, and more reliable to boot. Plus, I'm a huge fan of steel core ammo, penetration counts for a lot in my book. Got another 500 rounds on the way. Try this ammo, you won't be disappointed. Stand fast patriots. -God bless"

"I have a Yugo SKS. I have shot many different rounds and for the price it does the trick. It might not have this and have that; everyone has something to say, but they work good. There is better and there are ones not so good. I take care of my guns and they do the rest. Good ammo."
5.0 5
"Great Ammo used in SKS and AK-47. Penetration and velocity are great! Not much cleaning after these rounds (but with Russian made rifles who cares - they were built to get dirty). Stock up on these for sure!"
5.0 5
"Well I thought I would try this stuff out as it's the first time I have seen it on CTD. I shot it through a Yugo SKS and had no problems. I will be buying more."
5.0 5
"I have a Saiga 7.62x39 and about 1500 rounds of this Uly ammo. I love it. My Saiga being a sporterized AK-47 will eat anything from Wolf to Brown Bear, but this is top of the line. No lacquer to worry about or picking up brass, just clean, accurate, cheap, and confident to shoot rounds. This is the only 7.62x39 round I will ever buy again."
5.0 5
"Great stuff!! Much cleaner and more reliable than Wolf in my experience. I've had zero malfunctions in 300 rounds fired so far out of a Russian SKS. With Wolf ammo, I typically get a stovepipe from an inconsistent powder load every 40 rounds or so. Also, the powder used in this round seems to be a little more powerful than the one used by Wolf in it's Military Classic as in recoil. There's a little more recoil."
5.0 5
"I just fired 120 rounds of this at the range in my new Saiga. Perfect, every single round fired cleanly and not a single misfire. Great ammo!"
5.0 5
"My dad and I have bought close to 10,000 rounds of this over a course of a year, and shot most of it at the range. We still have yet to find a problem with this ammo, and it's accurate out of both of our AK's and my SKS. A great plinking load and cheap price as well..."

"I used this with my Saiga 7.62 and it's great. No issues, a great deal!"
4.0 5
"i bought about 500 rounds of these and i was very pleased. had a little residue build up on piston but nothing a rag and oil cant take off. Overall i was pretty pleased"
5.0 5
"I bought 500 rounds of this stuff. I went out and shot it last weekend and wow, not bad. Out of the 100 rounds that I shot, no misfeeds or jams. Also, the ammo shot true up to 75 meters. Well as true as an AK can get (my opinion, not up for debate). I usually fire Wolf but I liked the way the Ulyanovsk ammo shot. It's recoil was consistent and predictable. Literally, you get more bang for the buck."
5.0 5
"This is good ammo for your AK. It worked on my Romanian AKS, DRACO, WASR-10, and my AES-10 loved this ammo too."
4.0 5
"I shot my first boxes today of this ammo. It works as good as the Wolf ammo I have shot in the past. No issues with jams or stove pipes. Shot clean as far as I can tell. Will definitley buy more. I recommend this ammo. My Romanian SKS loved it."
4.0 5
"So far 200 rounds through my Russian SKS using a 20 round clip. No problems at all. Pretty consistant at the range shooting at 220yds. Will be getting more."
4.0 5
"shot 500 of this ammo with my mini30,no misfire.and burns cleaner thansilver bear.i hope its also available in hollow pts."
5.0 5
"Have shot 500 rounds in my bullpup, WASR, & SKS.Not 1 failure. True to aim. Not dirty at all."
5.0 5
"Bought 5 box's of Ulyanovsk, compared to Wolf,Brown Bear and Silver Bear 123g FMJ,this ammo gave me the tightest shot group @ 50 yds. WASR-10 on a bench, bipod, open sights. First 3 shoots where inside smack dead center inside a quarter. Filling like the man, 27 rds later inside 3" very happy with this ammo and for the price,I will be stocking up as much as I can. Hats off to CTD for great service and next day delivery."
5.0 5
"price set aside; this is the best ak ammo on the market. i have tried pretty much all ammo for my 2moa yugo m70, and this is by far, the cleanest and best grouping ammo out there. after 50 rounds you could barely see any residue on the gas piston (chromed). wolf, bear, hornady, l&b, federal, winchester, remington, cant compare, not to mention the price. get is while you can. i grouped slightly larger than a quarter @ 50 yards open sights, can you?"
5.0 5
"bought 400 rounds of this stuff went out and shot around 100 yesterday and functioned just fine. just as good if not better than the wolf i normally shoot. shot a little tiny can from 100 yards so it shoots straight enough"
5.0 5
"Very clean ammo before and after I shot it. This load and has some kick and stopping power but thats what you want with some steel cased rifle ammo sometimes."
5.0 5
"There is a very good reason I buy this ammo in the 1000's. It is reliable, funtional, and clean ammunition. It is at a great price and it is the best deal around. Out of the 600 I have shot, there has not been one misfire, stove pipe, or stoppage. I say buy this in bulk ladies and gents. Great Round."
5.0 5
"I do believe this is the best of the cheap ammo. Tight groups, clean and no miss fires or stove pipes. I hope to see this stuff drop a little more in price, so that I can shoot like it's 1989 again, when a round cost a nickle if you bought a thousand rounds. Lots of fun. Don't miss out."
5.0 5
"At the risk of joining the band wagon, this is very good ammo. I shot 200 rounds in my WASR-10 and it shot perfectly. Groups were all within the black on an SR-1 at 100 yards shooting prone. The price just makes it all the better."
5.0 5
"I have shot several boxes of this ammo through my Saiga rifle. It was very accurate, very reliable and not too dirty at all. It shot through an eight inch piece of treated wood. It might even shoot through a thicker piece, but this was the thickest I had at the time. I recommend this for anything you want it for, yes, even self defense. Good shooting and God bless!"

"I used this ammo in an AR-15, 20" barrel, chambered for 7.62X39. I discovered that this ammo requires a hard firing pin strike to fire. I was using a match trigger with reduced hammer spring tension and had 35 - 45% failure on firing this ammo. Primers were clearly indented by the firing pin on the failed cartridges. Factory Winchester and other brands did not have this problem in the same gun. After swapping out the hammer spring, I had no problems firing this ammo. 100% ignition and I chronographed it at: Hi 2453 fps, Lo 2329 fps, Av 2362 fps, Ext sp 124.6. I had no heartburn with it after I figured out the problem, but it does require a harder hammer strike than any other ammo I've tried."
5.0 5
"The best Ammo for an AK-47 or SKS. That's all there is to it."
5.0 5
"I bought a few boxes of this ammo about a week ago and I just go to use it over this last weekend. It ran flawlessly through my AK-47. I have a WASR-10, and I recommend this ammo to anyone who is looking for cheaper and reliable ammo. I loaded this stuff in thirty and forty round magazines without a single jam. Just make sure you clean your AK every so often to prevent having any problems. So many shooters give bad ammo reviews due to their lack of maintenance on their firearms. I recommend to all and I am going to order 20 more boxes on payday."
5.0 5
"This is the way to go. Good price and reliable clean ammunition. My AK loves it."
5.0 5
"Excellent ammo. This is in fact Wolf ammo. Same exact thing, just called hunting ammo. Buy it before it runs dry!"
5.0 5
"Fired 100 rounds without a malfunction. Shot group at 100 yards was about 4 inches. That was open sight so could be tighter with a scope."
5.0 5
"I bought 400 rounds and fired 200 today at the range out of a Yugo M70AB2 underfolder. No jams or misfires. Great ammo. Good price too! Very clean. I recommend picking up some of this stuff. I'm buying more."
5.0 5
"Dumped 150 rounds through two different AK's last weekend, not a single issue. I like that the round seems to have only a slight polymer coating, and burns cleaner than Brown Bear. Great price CTD!"
5.0 5
"Great clean burning ammo! Excellent price as well. You can keep on shooting without worrying about the cost as much. I will be ordering more!"
4.0 5
"Very clean ammunition. I gave it 4 bullets because its steel cased and some ranges don't like that. Also if the barrel gets real hot it has a slim chance of not ejecting properly. But if you keep your AK clean you won't have that problem. CTD needs to keep this stock going."
5.0 5
"This is Uly ammo, Wolf Military Classic is Uly, this is better than Wolf black box which is Tula, not Uly, there's a difference. Buy it cheap and stack it deep."
4.0 5
"Great for the price, shot 100 rounds from my Chinese Type 56 SKS and it was excellent. Had 2 duds or would have given a 5 bullet rank. Cleaner than I expected and spent little time cleaning. WORTH THE MONEY!"
5.0 5
"Excellent ammo in my AK! I went through 150 rounds with no misfeeds or misfires! I will be buying as much as I can!"
4.0 5
"I ran about 250 rounds through my AK. I've had 5 duds, but no other issues."
5.0 5
"For the price, this ammo can't be beat. I shot 150 rounds of this Uly through my Yugo SKS without a single stoppage. Good groups @ 50 yards, and the rifle was easy enough to clean. I clean my rifles after every outting, and have never had a problem with any of the Russian ammo, even my Bushmaster eats up the Russian .223 without a hitch. Why pay more for target shooting? I would even trust my life with this stuff for home defense, why pay more? I doubt anyone would notice a difference unless you are an Olympic shooter."
5.0 5
"Excellent Range Ammo! I am going to order it tll I can't anymore!"
5.0 5
"They feed great, go bang, what more can you expect?"
5.0 5
"Bought 200 rounds of this, put 100 through my rifle today with zero problems. Alot cleaner than the other stuff I've been shooting, and with this price I'll buy alot more!"
5.0 5
"This ammunition is excellent quality. I ordered 500 rounds and hand inspected each one every round was clean and looked flawless. I took my Russian model SKS to the range and put 250 rounds through it with no misfire and only a single jam which was my fault for putting the mag in wrong. Overall this is high quality low cost ammo and I will gladly buy more when I can afford to."
5.0 5
"Well, I ordered 10 boxes (200 rounds) of this ammo, and I have to say, that I do not have a single complaint about this ammo. I loaded up the MAK-90 for a trip to the range and put a sizable dent in my order. Not a single misfire, very accurate at long ranges, and a clean burning ammo as well compared to some other brands that I have cycled through my rifles, at one-fourth the cost. Definately would recommend this ammo to the new shooter and veteran shooter alike."
5.0 5
"I have a SKS, AK-47, and a RPD, more then 500rds, of this ammo in each an " No Problems"."
5.0 5
"I've fired about 600 rounds of this through my bottom of barrel AK (WASR-10) without a single FTF or FTE. Holds a 2" group at 50 yards which is not precise by any means, but acceptable for general plinking."
5.0 5
"Pretty darn accurate for the cheapest ammo out there."
5.0 5
"I Have purchased 5 boxes of the Ulyanovsk FMJ 122 Grain 20 round box. I have successfully used it without a single jam or miss fire. I highly recommend this ammo to any one that is a serious shooter and for the low price, you would be crazy to miss out on the fun. That is why I rate this ammo at a 5 and I cant what to shoot some more."
5.0 5
"AWESOME!! I have a, lets call it, "hotrodded" Yugo SKS. Tried this in the fixed 10 rd. mag...Functioned/cycled perfectly.. tried it in my Tapco, 20 rd. detachable mag, with same results! I had no hang fires in 100 rounds. Pretty darn accurate too. I haven't tried any of the Wolf ammo yet..although I've heard bad reports on the steel cased ammo. All in all, for the price....grab some up... I will!"
5.0 5
"Great ammo, my Wasr 10 ate it up and spit it out with no problems. No dirtier then Brown Bear. Buy while you still can at these prices."
5.0 5
"Shoots great. 500+ rounds through my Yugo SKS without a single misfire. Can't beat the price, either!"
1.0 5
"Let's just say the rounds dont like my Mini Thirty. 5 bullets out of 20 would fire. Not worth even this low price."
5.0 5
"I get 2" groups at 100 yards with my SKS with iron sights. And my eyes aren't as good as they were in the 70's. At this price I'll be buying more."
5.0 5
"Great ammo. I've bought plenty of it and never had a misfire or jam. Good groups."
5.0 5
"To reviewer Bing, The problem is your mini-30, not the ammo. The Mini-30 was made to fire BRASS, BOXER primed ammo. This stuff is steel cased Berdan primed ammo. It requires a hard striking hammer to ignite the primer. That's why you had so many FTF. This ammo is made to use in military rifles like the SKS or variants of the AK-47. I would suggest looking for some Winchester White box ammo. It's a little more expensive, but you will have much better results."
5.0 5
"100 rounds through my Zastava (outdoor range)- no problems, accurate and clean."
5.0 5
"Not bad for a commi round. Lots of smoke but AKs love that anyway. The commis must be laughing so hard now that they see that after they got out of the communist system, NY and other states here are getting into it. LOL."
5.0 5
"Fired 170 rounds thru my Russian SKS and not a single problem. Not as dirty as I thought it would be and the grouping was all within an inch using open sights. Would buy more for sure!"
5.0 5
"Fired 300 rounds with no problems.Fed great in my WASR and seemed to produce pretty good groups.Much cleaner than other ammo I've used in the past.Definitely picking up much more."
5.0 5
"much much better than the price would lead you to believe, have only fired about a hundred rounds through my sks but so far no fails, and accuracy is about two inches at 100 yds. I will be buying more!"
5.0 5
"put 200 rounds through my romanian sks, the only failure was when my firing pin penetrated the primer and pulled it out of the case, it lodged between the receiver and the next round keeping it from going into the chamber, pried it out and kept shooting. this stuff is very accurate in my rifle."
5.0 5
"100 rounds through my Yugo SKS without a single problem. I used some Wolf and Brown Bear the same day, and they can't hold a candle to this stuff. It's cheap as heck too. I only decided to write this review because I was online ordering more anyway..."
4.0 5
"Put 200 rounds through my wasr. Only 2 failures to fire, both hit hard on the primer and just didn't kick off. All things considered this is great bulk (cheap) ammo. If I was hunting, I'd probably spend the money on something premium for WHEN I was shooting to kill. I load with a really good hollow for self defense. I staggered a mag with it and these. Not only could I not tell the difference in recoil at all, but I had 1 inch 5 shot groups with iron sites at 50 ft mixing the two. This performs very consistently and nearly identical to other 122 grain shells plus or minus 50 fps of it's specs. It groups very nicely in my gun, was not noticeably dirty, and is so cheap I can practice all I want without breaking the bank. I don't consider it a big deal for range ammo to have a single failure to fire once in a great while, as long as it's not very often.Trust your life to it? no, practice all day for the cheap with something that is very consistent, accurate, and feels just like your ammo that costs three times as much, definitely."
5.0 5
"I have not had one 1 misfire with this brand. These bullets are at a great price to start stock piling ammo. I just ordered them so I will write another review on the shipping. Hope this helps you guys decide on this product. Just don't buy them all out, I know I will be back for more soon."
4.0 5
"I shot 350 of this ammo with my Mini 30, at least 8 FTF. There are reallybad primers out there it does'nt matter if it is berdan or boxer. I shot more 500 rds of this brand also with my mini 14 of course with the 223 cal no problem at all, it even burns cleaner and more cheaper than Brown Bear, too bad its not availabe in hollow points."
5.0 5
"Great ammo, probably the cheapest you'll find now a days. Great penetration, grab your AK and have some fun!"
5.0 5
"Got 300 round for my SKS 59/66 and not a single failure to feed in the lot, not even a jam. Also, noticed that after a full day of shooting my gun wasn't all that dirty. Seems to burn a lot cleaner than Bear or Wolf."
5.0 5
"I have fired over 500 rds through my Bushmaster. The 7.62x39 had no flaws at all. In fact, I orderd 1000 more rds and I'm gonna get more. This ammo is well worth the money"
5.0 5
"Great plinking ammo! Just finished 500 rounds of this stuff and I have zero complaints! My rifle will shoot anything you chamber in it but my wallet really appreciated this ammo. The only thing cheaper out there is the Yugo M67 surplus, which I own but save that for "just in case" purposes. Again buy now, stock up, this stuff is and will always be worth its weight in gold."
5.0 5
"The first time out I had a few failures to fire. My second time with it I had no failures to fire. I chock it up to there being a few bad primers out there with any brand you don't pay a fortune for.At this price you may expect a failure once in a while even with a good primer hit, certainly not often enough to worry about. My average is now 1 failure per 170 rounds. I can't complain. My gun loved the second batch more than the first. Great accuracy and a lot less crud than other, more expensive brands. I will buy lots more. I wish they made a hollow or soft point."
5.0 5
"My sons and I shot a BUNCH of this at the range the other day (the beast is our Saiga Hunting Rifle). Good stuff! No FTF's, No jams, No malfunctions whatsoever. Good Ammo. I'm going to buy more."
5.0 5
"Fired 300 rounds in 10 minutes with no failures to feeds or jams. will definitely buy more!!"
5.0 5
"Bought a 1,000 from CTD, Love'em!"
5.0 5
"Cleaner than Wolf. Had only one dud (bad primer). At this price, who cares? I will buy this ammo again as soon as my bank account gets replenished."
5.0 5
"You can't beat the price. It is cheaper than the Brown Bear stuff by the case. Every round out of about a thousand now have functioned flawless;y in my AK47. It is a bit dirty, like the Brown Bear stuff, but who cares in an AK and for the money paid?"
5.0 5
"When I first saw this ammo for so cheap I was amazed and a bit skeptical, too. But, hey, I got an AK. It feeds anything and I figured it couldn't be much dirtier than Brown Bear. But, actually, this ammo is clean, really clean surprisingly. And of course, no feed problems, no jams and not even a misfire. It also sounds louder than my Wolf and Brown Bear does. Sounds about like the Yugo surplus I have, so I imagine it has quite a bit of power. I bought 700 rounds a few months ago and liked em, so I am gonna buy another 640 rounds to put away, hell at this price, how can I not buy it? I would definitely recommend buying this to anybody, and lots of it, before it is priced higher or out of stock."
5.0 5
"This is great ammo for the price. I will buy more next time."
5.0 5
"This ammo works just fine in my IO AK. But, be aware those Russkis must be very generous on the powder measure. This ammo shoots and ejects with authority! The empties come shooting out of the ejection port with enough force mo smack birds out of the sky or punch holes into the range roof (just a wee bit of exxageration here). I will be buying more!"
5.0 5
"I've shot 300 rounds of this stuff through my AK without a single failure, I've got 200 that I'll probably go through this weekend and I am currently ordering a few hundred more. There is nothing fancy on the box, but if you want a reliable round to put down range, do not hesitate to purchase these rounds."
5.0 5
"These rounds are great!! Cleaner than others and fairly accurate too (in an AK).. Stock up while you can.. Ill be buying a case!!"
5.0 5
"I got these a couple months ago and just got to the range to shoot. I only went through four or five thirty round magazines, but everything I directed down range went there - and accurately. Good stuff."
5.0 5
"Good stuff pumped 300 rounds into my new AK and loved it. I bought 1000 rounds and will buy more <3 CTD"
5.0 5
"I bought 300 rounds of this stuff and it's not bad at all. It burns dirty but your supposed to clean your gun after shooting so who cares? It ran flawlessly through my Arsenal SGL-21..No duds, no failures to eject..perfect. I took my time at 50 yards and was able to get 5 shots in at a one inch group..for the price of this ammo I thought that was pretty good. Will buy more and would recommend it to anyone...Now if your going to be hunting I would get the expensive stuff but there is nothing wrong with Ulyanovsk. Awesome!"
5.0 5
"Excellent ammo! I fired off 400 rounds out of my WASR-10 at the range without a single issue. I will definitely buy more!"
5.0 5
"I have run a couple hundred rounds through my MAK. No misfires. Good, reliable stuff at a great price."
5.0 5
"I picked up a thousand rounds, shot 500 so far with my AK, no problems and it burns alot cleaner then Bear and Wolf. Great Stuff."
5.0 5
"I bought this as the first ammo for my Romanian SKS. I prefer to shoot FMJ and this stuff was far cheaper than anything else I can find, especially locally. I did not have any problems with feeding, firing, extracting or anything else. Loved it and I will buy more if I can."
5.0 5
"It's the cleanest ammo I have ever used and that includes US made 5.56 for an AR."
5.0 5
"This is good stuff with great QC. There was not a single backwards bullet or bullet fallen out as I've seen in every box of Brown or Silver Bear. It is a little low powered compared to milsurp or Wolf military classic that I have. It would be great for rifles with worn springs, I would think. I have the railed gastube/handguard on my SKS M model with the rail removed, four holes in the gas tube that don't belong there, and was getting a FTE about every third round that I wasn't getting from the milsurp stuff, the Wolf military classic, or the Brown Bear HP's. I just ordered 200 more rounds. I know it's the rifle. You can't beat it. It was also pretty clean and didn't have the heavy lacquer coating on it. I plan on buying even more as long as it holds out at this price."
5.0 5
"I had one jam out of 240 rounds. Much better then I expected for the price. I'm going to buy many more."
5.0 5
"I have fired a ton of these. I've never had a misfire and have decent accuracy with no complaints! My Yugo loves them!"
5.0 5
"I love these shells. Out of about 100, every one fired flawlessly. Don't listen to the title, I was just joking, buy all you can, I will be. We used this round to shoot today."
5.0 5
"I only had time for a quick trip to the range. I fired 100 rounds each of the Ulyanovsk 7.62X39 through a Romanian AK-47 and an AMD-65. Both were fed from 30 round steel magazines. Both guns loved this stuff. Not a single FTF, FTE, popped primer or any other problem. I think it's slightly less dirty than Wolf with accuracy about the same. Given the performance and the great price, I ordered a case, which CTD shipped incredibly quickly."
5.0 5
"This is great ammo for the price. I bought 500 rounds with no misfires. I will definitely buy more."
3.0 5
"I have fired over a thousand rounds. For the price, its a good round for recreational plinking or target shooting. I have a few issues that people should know before they purchase this manufacturer of this caliber.1. Its a very dirty ammo. You must clean your rifle every time.2. Misfiring out of a thousand rounds over many months 1/123. Steel Bullets take a toll on American Barrels.4. A quote You get what you pay for" think before you buy !"
5.0 5
"This stuff is great!! SUPER cheap and has worked flawlessly in my WASR-10. AK's will love this stuff. I don't consider this very dirty, but it is the only ammo I have ever used with my AK."

"Put over 200 rounds of this through my IO Liberty and my buddy's SKS last weekend. Absolutely no malfunctions of any kind due to this ammo. The only problem is its dirty stuff but what do you expect from Russian made, cheap ammo? Don't buy any of this stuff so I can buy the rest!"

"Cheap. Accurate. Reliable. 'Nuff said."
4.0 5
"Worked great in my AK! Been shooting them for a couple of weeks and only one out of about 500 didn't fire. I would recommend this to anyone."
5.0 5
"First I will add that cheaper than dirt ships fast and is the best place I found to buy firearms related stuff. Now about this ammo, It goes bang every time, it's accurate. Why pay more? The only drawback is the bullet will be attracted by a magnet which may disqualify it from certain public shooting ranges."
5.0 5
"Don't be scared to order a lot of this ammo. I have ordered thousands and I have no complaints."
3.0 5
"I bought 400 rds. of this ammo for the 2nd time, brought 140 rds. to the range today (also to test my new scope) there was one FTF for every 14 rds. I got curious and started comparing the FTF to the ones that fired. It seem that the primer is seated deeper in the primer pocket, the firing pin is hitting it, but not hard enough. I guess I have to sort out the remaining 240rds."
4.0 5
"My SKS eats this stuff up like candy. The usual 200-250 rounds I put through it on a regular session at the range were never interrupted by any misfires with this stuff. It feeds well and is decently accurate for casual shooting. It does leave some carbon fouling behind, more so than other stuff, but that has never caused me a problem. SKS's and AK's can handle it as they were designed for "rougher" conditions."
5.0 5
"I've fired thousands of these rounds and they are top notch! Dont be fooled by their low price. They group very well at 100 yards. No FTF or FTE with my AK uf. Buy them while you can before our 2nd amendment rights get infringed upon."
5.0 5
"I was somewhat hesitant when I saw the price, but after reading the reviews from everyone else I bought 6 boxes. Man, was everybody right. All 120 rounds went clean through my WASR-10 AK-47 look alike without any jamming or misfiring. It is by far the best ammo you can get for the money. If you are the least bit hesitant just buy it. You will not regret it."
5.0 5
"Ammo looked great was packed nice along with my Tapco T6 stock pad it also fit perfectly nice and snug no slippage. Overall very satisfied will continue to order more!"
5.0 5
"Great quality ammo and a good price."
5.0 5
"Excellent round. I've had no issues after 2,000 rounds through my WASR-10. It never failed once and you just Can't beat the price!"
5.0 5
"THIS AMMO IS GREAT, PERFECT FOR THE RANGE AND RANCH. BEST PRICED AMMO ANYWHERE AND VERY GOOD QUALITY. HOPE THE PRICES STAY THE SAME."
3.0 5
"This ammo is hot, literally. I opened a box and within the first 10 rounds material discharged below to the trigger, I had liquid lead on the tip of my trigger finger. Other than that my AK ate the rest up just fine, I shoot a milled Lancaster AK."
5.0 5
"This Russian stuff is great. I've gone through hundreds of rounds and so far I have had zero FTF or FTE's. I don't even feel this stuff is too dirty. If I had the cash, I'd buy 10,000 rounds."
5.0 5
"Why spend more for the same thing? This is great ammo. My WASR 10 and my Yugo eat it up and spit it out. Buy some now!"
4.0 5
"I have had no issues on these rounds unlike the Bear ones. I would have given it a 5 but I don't like the metal cases. I am going to try their 556 and see how that goes. You should not have any reservations about getting these round you will enjoy them."
5.0 5
"First off this stuff is cheap. Second it fills my drums without empting my pockets. Great stuff i was expecting a few FTF or anything. Functioned flawlessly. Good Ammo for range fire!"
5.0 5
"Ordered 800 rounds shot 80 rounds of it so far and no FTF or FTEsAll around I would say excellent ammo for it being steel cased"
5.0 5
"Bought this stuff to test and see if i liked since all the local cheap stuff i had already bought. far exceeded my expectations for as cheap as it is. No miss fires at all and I had over 200 rounds. I am impressed."
5.0 5
"These rounds were very clean, and don't have the lacquer build up I have seen on other ammo. I think this is going to work out great for me. Shipping time has been some of the best anywhere out there on the web. Shipping price in bulk order was extremely reasonable. Shipped in 3 days. First time I have bough ammo from CTD - No other web sites do I know can ship that fast. Great job CTD. I look forward to purchasing more."

"I live and work in Afghanistan. Being here, I see a lot of 7.62x39 ammo, and it ranges from good to frightening. While I was home on leave, I ordered a thousand rounds for my Romanian AK. I picked up another AK on leave also, and ran about 400 rounds of this ammo through the both of them. Not a single malfunction. POI was consistent at all ranges. This is not match ammo, but it's not meant to be. Cleanup took about 30 seconds per rifle, so I'm not sure why some people say it's "dirty". As for the steel being hard on "American barrels"....well, duh, it's copper clad. No sweat. Anyway, I'll be picking up another couple thousand for the coming zombie infestation when I get home. I heartily recommend this product."
5.0 5
"I've shot about 500 rounds of this. Not one FTF, not one jam. Reliable, accurate, and surprisingly not as dirty as most other Russian ammo. The price is the absolute best. Even with shipping, it's still the most affordable ammo I've found anywhere.I use it in a VZ58 and I have no desire to even try anything else at this time. Thanks Cheaper Than Dirt. Now, if you could add a few VZ accessories to your catalog, I'd never have to shop anywhere else. Everything for my other guns comes from CTD."
5.0 5
"I'm definitely buying more of these!!My brother just bought an SKS, that's why we were there and they were the only rounds to go through his 40 round mag without jamming.I loved the rounds and my gun loved the rounds. For the price and performance, Id give it a 10 if I could!!!"
5.0 5
"Good stuff. My Saiga loves it. I've shot maybe 200 rounds so far with no FTF/FTE. I'm stocking up!"
3.0 5
"I ordered 500 rounds of this stuff and 500 rounds of the Silver Bear ammo about 1 week ago. Everything got to my house via FedEx Sat night and I didn't have the opportunity to shoot until today (Monday). I shot 100 rounds of this ammo and out of the 100 there were 15 rounds that wouldn't ignite when the primer was struck. I have a new Ruger Mini 30 ranch rifle that I was shooting the ammo out of. On every shell casing, you could see that the Ruger's firing pin was making clear deep contact right in the center of the primer. So, it isn't a weapon malfunction of any sort. When I ran the "dud" rounds back through the rifle, only one fired. As for the Silver Bear ammo, I shot 100 rounds of that with no failure whatsoever. I haven't tried Wolf ammo yet, but I'll never buy this stuff again. Thanks to Cheaper Than Dirt for awesome prices and lightning fast shipping, you guys rock!"
5.0 5
"My Romanian WASR-10 AK47 eats this up. Never had any problems using this ammo with my AK."
5.0 5
"I bought 200 rounds just to try them out. Every single one fes and fired perfectly with no issues at all. Although, while cleaning, they seemed to be fairly dirty but that's life."
5.0 5
"I shoot alot of this stuff with my VZ 58. Never any malfunctions of any kind. As with all the cheap Russian stuff, I would suggest trying a hundred rounds or so to see how your individual rifle performs. I can only speak for my VZ 58 but I don't run anything else through it, and this is just about the cheapest 7.62x39 anywhere."
2.0 5
"I just shot this ammo on Dec 22, 2010. Out of every box I shot out of my AK74c I would get two FTF with this ammo. When I switched to Brown Bear ammo, no FTF. I must have got a bad batch. All I can say is that I've shot 100 rounds and have 300 left so thats 30 duds at least in that pile. Will I buy again? Yes. Will I expect it to fire every time? No. But, for the price, how can you say no? Just remember, this is only for plinking. As for being dirty, what can I say? It's steel AK ammo."
5.0 5
"I bought 600 rounds and have already shot about 200 through my WASR 10. Every round fired without any jams. They were suprisingly clean too. Accuracy wasn't a problem either. All 200 rounds were put into a 6 in. target at 100 yds."
5.0 5
"I put 300 rounds through my Century International Rifle with no problems! I just purchased another 1,000 rounds and plan to continue buying more! It is excellent for recreational shooting. It is much cleaner than expected!"
5.0 5
"Good ammo. It is cheap and works great in any AK. You can't go wrong with this stuff. I ordered 500 more rounds a few days ago and it showed up 2 days later. CTD shipping is awesome. Very fast. Pick some up, you will be satisfied with it. It can't be beat for the price."
3.0 5
"Buy Brown Bear instead. The difference in price is not worth the few failures to ignite with the Uly."
5.0 5
"Non-stop trigger pullin' fun out of my WASR-10. After 180 rounds and my gun smoking, I had not one misfire or jam."
5.0 5
"I buy this ammo in bulk. Ive bought over 1500 rounds and fired about a thousand through my WASR10 AK47 so far and haven't had a misfire yet. Not one problem with this ammo. Cheap and reliable. Thank you Russia for inventing the AK47 and this amazing ammo."
5.0 5
"I have been using this ammo at the shooting range. I like it. Especially the price. I have been buying it for while and they have all been good. Thank you, CTD!"
5.0 5
"I bought 500rounds for my AK47. I used to shoot Wolf ammo. This stuff is just as good for a lot cheaper. Perfect for AK47's!!!"
4.0 5
"I like to buy things made in the USA but for this round there is nothing around made here worth using for plinkin at good prices.Dirty but great for AKs. Steel core ricochets more than lead cores so stand far from where you shooting and be aware of your surroundings."
5.0 5
"I went through 600 rounds in an all day AK training class. No issues at all with ammo........ or gun. Went I got home I ordered 1k more."
5.0 5
"This ammo is so cheap i was expacting jams and ftfs to happen alot, got out to the range and fired all 500 rounds without a single problem, and its cleaner and cheaper than wolf."
5.0 5
"very good better then other more expensive rounds. very fast shipping as always."
4.0 5
"I saw the price, I saw that it was Russian made so I mentaly prepared myself for dissapointment. But to my grand surprise, 0 FTF and 0 FTE out of 600 rounds fired that day! I have and will buy again! I gave it 4 stars because it was dirty but, it's an AK so unless you spent a small fortune for one, who really cares!"
3.0 5
"Maybe I got a bad batch or something, because I was hoping these would be great from other reviews. I ordered 500 rounds, after the first 100 shot I have already had 15 misfires. Really was hoping for better considering the other reviews."
5.0 5
"I fired 1,000 rounds in little more then 2 hours from my WASR-10. Not a jam, misfire or any issue at all. Also, it should be noted that they have the same case brand as wolf, and do to the markings should be one in the same, but for less. 10/10 for all day shooting fun."
5.0 5
"I have shot 1200 rounds of this ammo through my yugo m70 b1.This ammo performed great, not one misfire or ftf. This ammo is pretty accuurate for the price, but a litte dirty.Bottom line great price ..great ammo... thanks CTD!!!"
2.0 5
"Purchased 60 rounds to try to see if it was worth buying more. Firing the first 20 rounds I had 3 duds and one jam. The second box wasn't much better. The third box is sitting on a shelf. The price is great but with that many misfires, I'll stick with a better brand."
3.0 5
"I fired 80 rds today through a Yugo SKS. I had three misfires, but it burns pretty clean compared to some."
5.0 5
"For 17 cents a round, this isn't bad at all. My rifle had no misfires, no jams, or any kind of problems while firing this ammo."
5.0 5
"I ran over 250 through my milled AK. No duds, FTF, nothing. It ran great. Yes, it is dirty, but who doesn't clean their firearms?"
5.0 5
"These are great cheap rounds. There clean althought they do spark a bit more out of the muzzle than the brass ammo. The one down side to polymer coated ammo is that if you leave it in a hot barrel while after shooting a few then doing something else the polymer will melt off and coat the inside of your barrel and eventually the inside of your chamber creating extraction problems at first and later feed problems."
5.0 5
"Good ammo at a great price. Big 5 sells stuff like this for $13 a box. just watch out for ricochets."
5.0 5
"I bought 1000 rounds for my SKS. Between me and my sons, we went through about 600 rounds with no problems, not one mis-fire or mis-feed. Great, inexpensive (as far as 7.62 goes) plunking ammo, especially when you take the boys to the range."
5.0 5
"This is good shooting ammo for plinking and having fun. No problems with feeding or extraction due to the ammo through the surplus mags I have. I had a couple of feeding issues with a Korean 75 round drum mag, but that is from a bent feed lip on the drum mag. Over all, thisis good ammo. It is a lot cleaner than I expected and no misfires. I am going to buy more."
5.0 5
"This is hands down the best deal for your AK or SKS! It seems a little cleaner than the bear ammo for less. I've run about 600 rounds through my Hungarian AMD65 and don't recall a single FTF or FTE. My buddy's WASR and Norinco SKS also love it. It is decently accurate too. We spent a whole afternoon shooting at lego men at 40 to 50 yards. Will be buying more!"
5.0 5
"Great ammo at a cheap price. Never a jam or mis feed with my Wasr 10. Will buy more in the future. Fast shipping too !!!!"
5.0 5
"I bought this ammo a few months back, around 1700 rounds of it. I rated 5 bullets after trying the first magazine, and after now going through roughly 500 rounds of it, I just wanted to once again say how great this ammo is. Not to mention the fact that IMHO the box is extremely sleek looking, I like it. But a cool box does not make great ammo. The way this stuff shoots, it is more consistent, accurate and cleaner than any of the other ammo I have tried. Not so much as a single fail to fire out of my 500 rounds, out of a WASR-10. Simply put this is the best commercial ammo I have tried. I just hope the price stays this low for a long time, as I am going to need to order more soon :D. The only one problem I noted was that the steel cases have a tendency to rust, more so than the lacquer cases or copper washed. .I can deal with that, since I shoot the stuff rather quickly. So that is the only thing I would say, is if you are intending on stockpiling ammo, go for the Yugo surplus ammo. But if you just want good, powerful, cheap, reliable, clean ammo, this is the best you can get, as far as I am concerned."
5.0 5
"For the price and where it comes from this is really the best stuff I have shot from my Yugo SKS!!! And the fouling is not bad at all, compared to the military surplus for just plinking and target, this is the best bang for the buck!!!"
5.0 5
"I ordered 1,000 rounds of it, and I fired them all through my SKS and WASR 10/63. No FTF/FTE's. And no bad primers. All went "boom" on the first strike."
5.0 5
"Super clean, extremely reliable, and can't beat the price. Definitley my 1st choice for 7.62x39."
5.0 5
"No better ammo in this caliber. Stock up as much as U can for general use, and get some soft point Bear ammo for hunting & long term storage."
3.0 5
"After swapping out a trigger spring with higher tension, I have been able to get 100% ignition on these cartridges. They require a harder primer strike than any other ammunition. My biggest concern, now, is, does the iron in the bi-metal jacket cause excessive barrel wear? Does anybody know?"
5.0 5
"bought 8 boxes, didnt have a misfire, pretty good ammo, and its cheap!"
5.0 5
"ordered 2 boxes to try out; 100% firing rate. Thanks CTD again I got the ammo next day."
5.0 5
"Very Impressive ammo. Kinda funny because it looks identical to Wolf ammo. I love the price and I will buy much, much more."
5.0 5
"great ammo performed perfect in my rifle not one misfire. Highly recommended to all AK/SKS plinkers"
5.0 5
"just ordered 500 more rounds of this, have shot hundreds with out EVER having a problem with this ammo. Some say its dirty, but i think its actually pretty clean for cheap ammo, especially compared to wolf. never had a problem with accuracy either, and thats out of an AK47. Bottom line VERY GOOD ammo for CHEAP!!!!!"
3.0 5
"I shot about 5 clips thru my ak47 bullpup an had 2 jam up pretty tight. The shell had split down the side, I would buy wolf over these. The casings are too thin..."
5.0 5
"I bought 35 boxes. Have shot 10 of them so far through the WASR-10. Great plinking ammo!"
5.0 5
"I picked up 400 of these to play with my WSAR 10 and man did that thing eat them up. I shot 300 out of the 400 order and not 1 FTF, FTE. I couldn't ask for more for the bullet. Thanks, CTD! I will be ordering a lot more."
5.0 5
"It shoots well out of my AKMs. I plan on buying more if the price stays where it is."
5.0 5
"I bought 1K of this ammo based on the reviews and I gotta say its exactly as described. I've fired 140 rounds of it so far without a single issue. Hopefully the supply doesnt dry up because this will be the only thing I'm buying for the range from now on."
5.0 5
"I have a yugo sks that is super picky on ammo in general, it ate through this stuff with no problems at all! Not a single missfire, jam or slamfire! Went through 200 just to make sure i wasnt wasting money but this is rather great ammo for the money! It is dirty compared to some other bullets ive tried but i ordered another 500 anyways! Thanks ctd!!!"
5.0 5
"fired 100 rounds today of the ulyanovsk fmj 122 g and am very impressed had only 1 primer that did not fire all the rest were flawless very good penetration. gave this a 5 bullet rating because i expected to have at least a few duds and only got one so for the price you cant beat it period"
5.0 5
"I bought 500 of these and 500 of the Wolf....Like this brand well. On the other hand Wolf have had miss fires, jams, primers coming loose and rolling around in the chamber...I will never buy Wolf again."
5.0 5
"I bought 500 rds of this ammo. I must say it looks like Wolf ammo in a plain box! This ammo is just as good as more expensive stuff. I will buy more as long as it remains cheaper than competition brands."
5.0 5
"Shot 1,000 rounds over 3 hours out of 1 WASR 10. Not 1 jam, not 1 bad primer. Stock up boys."
5.0 5
"I have purchased well over 3,000 rds of this stuff and it all works flawlessly!!"
5.0 5
"Hands down this is the best thing I have ever spent money on when it comes to my AK. This ammo is cheaper than anything I have found and it works! I have put about 600 of these rounds through my AK with not miss feed or jam. I have been so pleased with this ammo I just ordered 800 more. No joke."
5.0 5
"I own, 2 SGL-21s and these were used for for about 1500 rounds combined, so far every round shot and no jams or any sort of failures, russian rounds on russian weapons will work all the time."
4.0 5
"I've shot approx. 400 rounds of this ammo using my Century Arms AK47 pistol. Never one jam. Fairly accurate considering 11" barrel. Only draw back is if you reload. I buy nothing else."
5.0 5
"What can I say: Every one fired. A little dirty, but they're for an AK so what does it care?"
5.0 5
"The ammo functioned flawlessly in my AK-47. This was the cheapest I could get 7.62x39 anywhere. Also the ammo arrived in 2 days. I love Cheaper than Dirt and their shipping department."
5.0 5
"Got the bullets fairly quickly. Shoots fine from my SKS. It is dirty, but then again, pretty much all ammo is."
4.0 5
"The rounds themselves when chambered shot excellent. Good enough accuracy and power for my SKS. However i wish they were polymer coated or something. Using my 20 rd tapco mags they were catching on the bolt. The bolt would grind into the round causing the rifle to not chamber the round. Dunno, maybe some wd-40 on the rounds? Oh well, they shot fine once chambered. Little skeptical if i had zombies charging at me. Good thing i have a bayonet! But I will buy more for plinking for sures!"
5.0 5
"Can't beat the price, along with fast shipping. CTD is always my first choice for 7.62x39 ammo. No issues with ammo after 500rds."
5.0 5
"I just found my first dud yesterday. I have fired about 1500 rounds of this stuff already with only one dud, I'd say pretty good considering the price. Shoots fairly clean also, easy to clean after a long day at the range."
5.0 5
"Just shot 200 rounds through my AK with no duds. Great ammo"
5.0 5
"For my IO AK47 this stuff runs just fine, pretty much anything short of defective will run through an AK though, hents the advantages of owning one. I ordered a 100 rd trial run on this ammo and it was placed about 9 pm on a Wednesday night. My package was on my doorstep Friday afternoon. This is nothing short of amazing boys and girls. The PRICE is right, the QUALITY is good, and the SHIPPING can't be beat. CTD has always done me right."
5.0 5
"This ammunition is amazing, especially for the price. I haven't seen a better deal. Stocking up on this!"
5.0 5
"Ordered 15 boxes at first. No problems. Just ordered plenty more. I would prefer no one else buy this ammo that way it was only available for me."
5.0 5
"I originally purchased many boxes of this ammo at Wal-Mart until I realized CTD stocks it. I am a Texas resident and have to pay state taxes on purchases from my orders online. But the ease of clicking and presto it arrives at my door is amazing. Wal-Mart sold it for around 5 bucks a box CTD sells for less so if you buy bulk the savings will pay your shipping. I ordered 50 boxes "1000rnds" on Sunday and Tuesday morning the day after Presidents Day the Fed Ex man was knocking on my door!!! Thank you CTD great service you now have a loyal customer."
3.0 5
"Sent 160 rounds through an Arsenal SLR96 yesterday using two different magazines. Had 4 jams, the only feed failures to ever occur with this rifle. In the future I will stick to the Wolfe for the inexpensive rounds. Other then those feed failures it seemed to fly true. No fail to fire rounds."
4.0 5
"As I said it the title when its about guns and ammo Russians always make sure that they will work. When I go to the range usually put thru 500-600 rounds on my AK... Easy to clean. I used probably 5000 rounds so far of this ammo never one jam or misfire. Only thing is over 100 yards lil unstable, but AK s were made for close quarter fights anyways. It wont let you down, try it."
5.0 5
"This ammo functions perfectly in my Yugo SKS. I fired 80 rounds through of it in Tapco 20 Round Mags with zero problems. Anyone who has written that this ammo has alot of FTF's needs to check their equipment. The round is no the problem it is your weapon or the ammo is dirty in some way and the dirt is the problem. As for accuracy this ammo hits the mark. I was shooting 1/2 inch groups at 25, 50 and 100 yards. This ammo is the best at the price and I will be buying more so stock up and shot stuff!"
5.0 5
"Fired 200 rounds so for of the 600 I bought. No jams, no misfires, buy it before the price goes up."
5.0 5
"Ask yourself one question? How often can you afford to shoot your rifle? At 20 rounds for under 4 bucks...I'll never think about owning anything that shoots 5.56mm. What good is a rifle if it sits in your closet collecting dust all year. I take my AK to the range once a month with friends and have fun for hours. This ammo is 5 stars and cheap to shoot. Viva La 7.62 x 39!"
5.0 5
"I ahve shot well over 5000 rounds of this ammo over the past year and have only had 1 ftf. I have never had any 7.62x39 with that good of a record and since they changed the description to bimetal jacket I can give 5 bullets now."

"It is funny to me when people say that they will use Wolf ammo instead when most of it IS Ulyanovsk stuff marketed under the Wolf umbrella in the US. Just so that I don't need to laugh out loud every time reading these comments, please remember this: Tula and Ulyanovsk (the two largest Russian ammo manufacturers) put together is Wolf, ok? Now out of the two, my favorite it Ulyanovsk -- hands down. They have manufactured mil grade stuff for a long time and for the needs of Red Army / Russian Federation Army. When you have problems with your firearm, it is not always the ammo that causes it; whether it is an accuracy problem or feeding. 90%+ of feeding problems are the magazine's fault and to generalize a little bit I'd say that most all feeding problems on AKs are due to a bad mag. Now for the accuracy; all manufacturers are different. There is NO 7.62x39 standard that everyone loads their rounds to, right? So learn how to shoot with the different rounds rather than expecting that switching from manufacturer x's product to manufacturer y's product will still hit the same spot on the target paper. Seriously? Ok, I think most of y'all should already get the point. I like Ulyanovsk as it is relatively consistent. This is something that you don't find in Russia very often in anything they do -- except that the weapons keep on firing. They will go bang when you pull the trigger, where they hit is another topic altogether. And don't ever make a mistake of trusting that the next Russian made round will hit where the previous one did -- they don't make consistent ammunition in that whole country. Know that fact going in and you are going to be less disappointed and the fact is that you, as a shooter / fighter / what have you, need to compensate and overcome if you want to become a better martialist. Eh? You don't? You want the tack driving experience of SAKO / TIKKA and premium western ammunition? Then my question is why in the heck did you buy an AK in the first place?...."
5.0 5
"Absolutely no problems using this ammo in my WASR 10/63 and Tapco Mags! I'll keep coming back to CTD for this ammo, and I don't see myself buying any other brand."
4.0 5
"This ammo is worth the money. Out of about 800 rounds I've had two rounds that failed to fire, put them through again with same result. Primer was struck but didn't fire. Seems to shoot fairly clean. Perfect for target shooting. STOCK UP!"

"This is more of a review of the products from the Tula and Ulyanovsk ammunition plants that have been produced in the last 6 months (because I have tried them all). Most are now consolidated under the TulAmmo brand but you can still get Wolf and this brand many places...it is the same product. When someone tells you Wolf is crap and they prefer this brand it's not a valid statement. I gave this product 4/5 not because it is a great product but because it is the best value 7.62x39 you can get in my opinion. I have put hundreds of rounds of this ammo (plus Wolf plus Tulammo) through an Arsenal AK and a Chinese SKS and I have had fair accuracy (not great but good for the price). I have had zero issues with it in the Arsenal AK, in the SKS I have had maybe 3 ejection failures (caught the case with the bolt) and 7 feed failures. I blame these problems on a cheap SKS with a cheap mag in combination with cheap ammo. Mix crap together in a bowl and you get crap. I would not hesitate recommend this ammo to anyone looking to just rip off some rounds and have some fun. Is it match grade or would I trust it for tactical and personal defense? No way. Is it great to have some fun with at low cost? ABSOLUTELY. Quality is not great, it's a bit dirty, it's a bit smelly, it's a bit inaccurate...but is A LOT CHEAP and a good value for what you get."

"Bought 1000 rounds, no duds. Thanks CTD."

"I bought 1000 and every one went bang. Not a single failure. My WASR AK ate every round and was begging for more. I am buying another thousand right now. Cheap, Reliable and fun."

"The MAADI ak eats it up and spits it out. Worth the money. Good buy"

"I haven't fired off the first round yet, but I must say that this ammo is pretty darn clean out of the box. Typically I have black hands after unboxing especially 1000 rounds but this stuff was really clean. I actually unboxed them on to my cream colored carpet and was half way finished before I realized what I was doing. Good thing it was so clean, no residue left on the carpet."

"Just picked up my new IO AK-47. My rifle loved this ammo. Very accurate. No ftf. No bs. At 60 yrds I hit everything. Didn't get a chance to fire at 100yrds but wouldn't doubt the same out come. Thanks ctd. Good stuff"
5.0 5
"Shot 120 rounds of these my last trip to the range. They were clean, fairly accurate, and cheap! What more can you ask for? No FTFs, a couple of FTEs, but it was a magazine issue. My Norinco SKS loved 'em. Will definitely buy again!"

"This is good target ammo, but i wouldn't recommend it for hunting. I've shot several hogs with this stuff and it just doesn't leave a big enough wound, them dang pigs would just take off and it would take hours to find them because the lack of a blood trail. Hollow point is the way to go!"
3.0 5
"Well I've bought about 500rds of this ammo and am about 300rds loaded and ejected, notice I didn't say fired...about 30 plus rds have ftf due faulty primers...now if you rechamber the rd...sometimes you get lucky and it'll shoot but with a very small percentage of success...alright for plinking or playing; but wouldn't rely on it to save your life."

"I bought 1000 of these rounds and they fed, shot, and ejected with not even the slightest hint of a misfire or jam. I will defifitely be buying more soon!! Please keep these in stock and make sure to NEVER EVER run out of these rounds!"

"Great ammo, priced perfect about 17 cents a round. Love having good shooting cheap ammo to just burn up and shoot and have fun. NOT ONE MISSFIRE! Shot 400+ round so far. Tested for accuracy and was spot on at 100 yards fitting groups 2 inch in dia with scoped SKS. At 100 yards with my AK 47 kept them all on the paper with ease.Should you use t for competition shooting most likely not but I have seen people shoot worst groups with more expensive ammo and guns than I tested the stuff with so cannot complain at all about the ammo at all.400 rounds fired No misfiresNo jamsAll of the bullets hit their target (no wild flying weird bullets in the batch)And best of allCleaned up the spent one off the ground with a magnet! Oh yes will be buying more, like it better than the animal ammo (Wolf and Bear)"

"Just received a sample order of this ammo. FedEx was quick, only three days. Fired five rounds at 100 yards, nice. Put the magnet test to it, it will jump off the counter, very nice. I'm buying more, can't go wrong guys!!!!!!!"

"I ORDERED 1000 OF THIS AMMO AND IT IS SUPERB SHOT 250 EACH OF MY ARSENAL AND IO AK'S AND IT EATS IT UP WITH NO PROBLEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO OTHER USER FOR HUNTING OR PLINKING. MY IO AK AND MY ARSENAL LOVES IT AND NOT TO MENTION MY SKS... NO PROBLEM AT ALL PLUS WITH THE PRICE CANT BEAT IT. I'M IN A PROCESS OF STOCKING UP ANOTHER 3000 MORE FOR FUTURE WHEN SHTF."

"I just got 800 rounds great shipping. Have not been to shoot any yet."

"Hands down best range ammo out there for SKS. Arrived 3 days after I ordered it and it was amazingly clean. 1000 rounds were in boxes inside of plastic bags(nice). Great price (better than Walmart), great quality, and best of all: still in stock. Will definitely be ordering again. thx ctd"

"I ordered 1000rds Thursday night and received it Saturday evening. ctd you never let me down."

"If you plan to shoot these out of a Mini-30 even with a Wolf spring look somewhere else like Brown Bear, Golden Tiger. I get a consistant 15% FTF with this ammo. This has been the only ammo to FTF in my Mini. However I give the FTF rounds to my buddy and his SKS just eats them up. Good ammo, just not for a Mini."
5.0 5
"Purchesed 1,000rds, great deal especially for target practice. Last weekend I put 260 rds (and whatever Gold Tiger ammo I had left) both rapid & slow trigger pull though my AK with ease. With these prices I will be able to use my Ak more. =)"

"Cheap ammo is not always the best deal. I purchased 600 rounds, about 50% FTF, due to faulty primers. By far the worst ammo Ive ever bought."
5.0 5
"I purchased 1,000 rounds of this ammunition. I finally finished working through the whole pile of ammo this past weekend without a single FTF or FTE. That's a thousand rounds folks, not a single issue. Very consistent with slow shooting, and very satisfying with rapid-fire shooting. Will be purchasing again."
5.0 5
"i recently bought 400 rounds of this brand and i went to the range today and shot all 400. i had no FTFs!!! I hit spot on at 100 yards...amazing deal!!"
5.0 5
"Very great ammo for your AK or SKS. I have fired 100s of rounds no problems."

"Great product. I've already run 500 rounds through my vz2008 and haven't had a single issue with this ammo. I already have 500 more of these babies on the way."

"Ordered on Wednesday at 1800 hours, got here the following Monday at 1200 hours. What more can be said about CTD shipping; they are the BEST!! As for the ammo itself; put ~300 rounds through my milled AK, not a SINGLE FTF. Brilliant! (Can't say about accuracy, but for general plinking, it's a EXCELLENT buy.)"
1.0 5
"Out of a box of 20ea, 5-10 rounds FTF. Will not buy again!"

"Looks as good as any other of the "Russian stuff" (Wolf, Bear, etc). My favorite 7.62x39 ammo, also some of the cheapest. Win-win! My AK eats it up no prob!"
5.0 5
"So far I've shot over a 1000 rounds of this ammo and no ftf. This ammo is very clean, no red on the primer no extra cleaning and it gets the job done. For protection I see no reason why this ammo wouldn't work. It's been very accurate for me, dead on. I've also heard people saying that this ammo or just AK's don't shoot very far. I use an original sniper scope for my AK its always on at 1000 yrds and thats with this cheap ammo. I love it. Also this is the same ammo as Tul and just as good as Bear or Wolf but cheap!"
5.0 5
"The rounds look almost exactly like a Wolf round, except they are perfectly clean and have a few other minor differences.. My trusty YugoSks with the basic 10-rd mag fires 'em flawlessly with good patterns on the paper. I made a trial order of 400. Now, I may go big."
5.0 5
"I've pounded through a few hundred of these rounds in my AK and SKS. I got a few jams in the AK but flawless in the SKS. I blame the low quality magazine I was using. Its a super tight fit for rounds. It's the best priced 7.62x.39 on the market right now. Almost cheap. I will keep using these bullets until something is cheaper on the market. I don't think anything but Russian steel case will be cheap so go with this. You wont be disappointed."
5.0 5
"Great ammo. I have ordered over 2500 rounds of this stuff and I'm hitting out to 300 yards with my WASR 10 and Yugo AK 47's. Great price, great value, not that dirty, no prblems. Buy this ammo if you see a bad review its because thier firearm is messed up.......happy shooting"
5.0 5
"This ammo worked great in my WASR 10, No flaws, no failures to fire or cycle. Good price too."
5.0 5
"This ammo functioned flawlessly in my AK and SKS. No hang ups and I will buy more."
5.0 5
"I ordered 1000rds the other week (it was $3.59/20rds then) and I fired off 120rds without any hang-ups. This stuff is pretty clean stuff, and surprisingly accurate. I've been out of the 7.62x39 game for a while, and just got back into it a few days ago. I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with this ammo. I will be ordering more very soon. I think to the tune of about 500rds a month. Great stuff."
5.0 5
"I have shot 5,000 rounds of this ammo and NOT one bad round ZERO. It all was smooth shooting if you are having duds time to check your rifle, I will continue to buy more, very happy with these rounds"
5.0 5
"Nice ammo for the price! Used in my SKS"

"good plinking ammo but kind of dirty. You get what you pay for. No FTF or FTE problems with my MAK-90 using this ammo"
5.0 5
"The best ammo on the market. Ive researched the internet and this is by far the best deal. Using a WASR-10 Romanian underfoler with Tapco Gen 2 mags and surplus mags, no issues. If you're having problems with this ammo, check your mags or your firing pin strength. Buy now before the price goes up again. Bought 1000 rounds at 3.59 a box, now at 4.19. I will not make that mistake again."
4.0 5
"This item was awesome. I gave it 4 bullets because I had 1 dud but I love the ammo. 1 inch groups at a hundred yards and its cheaper than dirt haha, Thanks CTD, I will buy for my SKS again."
5.0 5
"Just got some of this a week or so ago, went out and burned up 400 rounds. not one FTF or FTE. Never a jam! My MAK 90 loves this stuff. Seems cleaner than my Brown bear, no lacquer residue left in chamber. Now if I could only get my wife to load it faster into the mags it would be great! Seems marginally more accurate than the Bear, but who is expecting accuracy from an AK!"
5.0 5
"Went out just the other day, first time since getting the ammo. I shot 90 rds flawlessly! No jams, each round went smoothly I was very impressed. I will definitely be buying more if I can convince my wife.:)"

"My AK- 47 loves this Ammo. Ordering from CTD is quick and fast-comes to my door step in 3 days."

"If your AK or other 7.62 machine likes to eat ,,, then this stuff's for you !! Between my local shop @ CTD I've went though about 3,500rds in the last year , and squirreled away another 3,000rds & counting ....just in case SGD!! But love the price per 500, can't beat them so far w/ no FTF , FTE , JAMS or anything loaded in TAPCO 30rd mags , Just pull up & squeeze & SMILE... Just wish I had bought more @ 3.59 .. But that's on me , plan on buying more @ this price so if you like to shoot cheap this is the stuff you need!!!"
5.0 5
"I put 100 rounds of this through my SKS, and every single round fired perfectly. Just bought another batch and will continue to buy this very well priced ammo."
4.0 5
"I shot 80 rounds yesterday with only 1 FTF. Silver bear is a bit cleaner and never had a jam or FTF. Still not a bad round for the price though."
5.0 5
"Ran over 200 rds through my WASR 10/63. They all went boom. This ammo, for this price!!!!"
5.0 5
"Good stuff, I purchased 300 rds of this stuff just to see how well it works. Well I had no FTF it all shot and it all fed fine. I have a Norinco Mac90 and it ate this stuff up. I also was shooting steel targets with 10 inch plates 8 inch plates an 4 inch plates I was able to effectively hit all of them repeatedly at 100yds, so accuracy seems good as well. Don't hesitate buy it!!! I'll be picking up a lot more of this ammo."
5.0 5
"I am on my second 1000 of these rounds and have NEVER ONCE experienced a misfire or ejection problem. Never! Who cares about residue; you have to clean your weapon every time anyway. Rounds number 2000-3000 are already on their way to me."
5.0 5
"I've fed about 200 rounds through the SKS, and very happy with accuracy from it. Will definitely buy again.. Don't forget some stripper clips!"

"This had to of been the most unreliable stuff I have ever shot. Averaged 5 failures to fire per 20 rounds out 350 rounds fired through my mini-30. At closer inspection I noted the primers are not set to a uniform depth. Some are set back extremely far into the brass (steel). I brought my rifle to my local gunsmith to have the firing pin lengthened after which I still had the same problems. The primer strikes after the modification were very positive and deep but still failed to ignite the primer. There is no excuse for such shoddy manufacturing. I bought Golden Bear and so far its 100% reliable. Stay away from anything manufactured at the Ulyanovsk armory aka (wolf military classic). It also grouped horribly. No such issues with Bear Ammo. Save yourself a headache and buy Bear. Its manufactured better and is more reliable and accurate."

"Ran 200 rounds of ammo through my Master crafted hand made AK-47 and the ammo fed and ran though without a hiccup. Ran two 75 rounders through it and then a 40rd Chinese mag and a 30rd and was very impressed with the cleanliness and quality of this product. This is a great price and you will not be disappointed. I'm stacking up."
5.0 5
"My son and I put 200 rounds through my AK47. We had a tight group at 50 yards and not 1 misfire. I will buy these again!"

"This is great ammo shot 500 rounds through my Mak 90 not one misfire!!!!"
4.0 5
"Fired several hundred rounds so ,not one misfire, 2 inch grouping @ 100 yards, repeatedly hit same bullet hole @ 50yrds with my Russian SKS. I will deff keep buying this ammo. My SKS loves this stuff !"
5.0 5
"Well, out of 1,000 rounds purchased, +700 fired so far with a Norinco SKS with no failures. Accurate as well, hitting a paper plate at 200 yards using iron sights. Will be stocking up on more."
4.0 5
"Okay so I have heard stories of cheap ammo being bad ammo. I have had no problems with this ammo at all. I am using a Yugo SKS, with Tapco magazines, and have had no major issues. The only problem I have ever had with this ammo, is a fail to fire. The primer is struck but no bang. I have shot about 1200 rds of this ammo and have only had maybe 4 FTF. Even bump firing the sks this ammo does well. As far as accuracy goes, I am using iron sights and I can hit a 6 inch target at 300m, so I would say it is accurate. I clean all my firearms after each outing and have never had major cleaning issues with this ammo. So in short if you are planning on just going out and throwing lead down range this is the ammo for you."
3.0 5
"I have fired several hundred rounds of this stuff, with no malfunctions so far! It shoots very well, and reliably. However, it is some the dirtiest ammo I have shot. It really gunks up the gun fast! Its almost more worth it to spend a little extra on the ammo, than all the money you will spend on solvent for cleaning!"
5.0 5
"I've burned through several hundred rounds of this ammo without a single problem. Both my Romanian AK and my Chinese SKS love it. Plus, I would be surprised if any other ammo could give me noticeably tighter groups than I'm getting with this stuff. How much do I love this ammo? Well, right now I have nearly 5000 rounds of it stockpiled. Enough said."
5.0 5
"To date I have fired over 800 rounds of this through my Arsenal AK. I havent had a single malfunction of any kind. This ammo is the best you can buy."
5.0 5
"This is a very high quality ammo for a great price. I dont find it excessively dirty, and no FTF's in the lot of about 200 I purchased. every round fired with acceptable accuracy. This is my round of choice for my end of the world supply. Do yourself a favor and pick up a case for shooting and then augment that supply with a sealed spam can for when the zombies begin to rampage. you'll thank yourself when it begins."
4.0 5
"I've been buying these exclusively from CTD since I came across them. Can't beat the price, I've had no problems after hundreds of rounds. Be warned: indoor ranges don't like them because of the steel jackets. Otherwise, load up on these."
5.0 5
"Fired 400 through my SKS using the 40 rd magazine (elsewhere on this site). Only 1 FTF out of the entire 400 and it ejected smoothly. Nice clean and cheap."
5.0 5
"It feeds well in my SKS and I haven't had any issues. The price isn't bad either. It was better when it was a dollar cheaper just a month or two ago, but still not bad."
5.0 5
"I have bought and used hundreds of rounds from this particular source/maker with no problems at all! I highly recommend this ammo to friends and family for a high volume plinking and fun. I also recommend buying it by the 500 round bricks, they are still at the low price per box at that buy as they were a couple months ago."
5.0 5
"Shoot around 300-400 rounds throw my yugo m70 , not a single FTF.good ammo, clean (compared to Wolf).will buy again.."
5.0 5
"Good ammo, just wish I made a larger order before the price went up."
4.0 5
"Ran around 500 rds of this through my WASR 10/63 with no problems. Just wish they would stop raising the price on this. It used to be less than 4 bucks a box. That's why I only gave it 4 stars."
4.0 5
"This Ammo works great in a clean Mini 30 . It seems that when I read the reviews from Ruger owners, the problem is always with the Ammo and not with Rifle. I think some folks should learn how to clean and maintaine the Rifle properly. Ruger Rifles work great when used properly."
5.0 5
"Great cheap ammo for my AR15. Never had any problems with it."
3.0 5
"Got 500 for my SLR-95(AK-47)and it cycled perfectly every round but not the most accurate and really pretty dirty but if your lookin for some good cheap plinkin, it's not bad."

"Leaves tons of soot in the rifle, but in all fairness it always shot to point of aim."
5.0 5
"Excellent for plinking or practice. Not one problem, the low price is amazing. Cleaning my barrel was a piece of cake. I will always buy this brand in any size."
4.0 5
"Good ammo, but out of 250 rds 1 FTF."
4.0 5
"Cheap, reliable ammo. Pretty accurate as well. I've put 1000+ rounds down range with zero FTF. Bought another couple of thousand rounds as this is perfect for Zombies."
5.0 5
"My WASR-10 eats this up at the range. Great, cheap round for shooting for fun."
5.0 5
"Well, what does one expect when they get a box of this stuff for a few dollars? It is good ammo. I have had no problems firing it in my AK or my robinson arms XCR. Feeds and fires fine. It's not super match ammo, but I am able to hit 6 in plates consistently at 200yds with my XCR and this ammo. I will definitely buy more when I eventually run out--I bought a ton!"
