If you are looking to bring that old lever gun out of retirement, well here is your chance! Hornady LEVERevolution is the most exciting thing to happen to lever action rifles, since they were invented back in the late 1800's. Hornady, known as a leader in the ammo industry, has designed these lever action rounds with an elastomer Flex Tip. This flex tip technology ensures that the rounds are safe when being contained in tubular magazines, as well as providing you with ballistic benefits. You will notice that these Flex tip expanding projectiles will provide flatter trajectories, increased energy, and amazing bullet expansion. If you've been looking for a reason to bring back that lever gun, then breathe new life into it with Hornady LEVERevolution!

"I have two sons and we all 3 have 45-70s. we use them for bear in Pa. Sighting in at 100 yds we were able to put 3 shots under a quarter with the 45-70. You must remember we are not shooting a 30 cal. which I put 3 under a dime. These new bullets are really great for acc. My son also shot a Deer with these rounds to.They do a really nice Job. I recommend these rounds. Signed ( Rockape ) My Viet Nam nickname"

"for a lever gun 300 yard i thought would be an impossible shot until now ;p X0 these things don't chain fire in the tube i loaded a full nine in my marlin 1895 Cowboy no worries had to fit a scope on my gun now can't wait to have just the bullet to reload ammo"

"Have used this round in my new Knight KP1 to take 2 deer so far this season. Granted the ranges of the shots were under 100 yards, x2 heart shots with absolutely zero travel by the animals after being hit. Incredible wound channels are the norm. If you want an ethical and clean kill with minimal chance of losing your game, this is the round for you!"

"I used 2 rounds on my first hunt w/ H&R Handi-Rifle mounted w/ 3X9 scope. First deer was shoulder shot at 97 yrds. Second deer was neck shot at 189 yrds. Both dropped in tracks. This round is popular in my area. Works well on marsh hog hunting."

"Shot a cow in Colorado, lazer sighted at 289 yds using my Marlin XLR. Dropped her in her tracks. This bullet exploded, taking out her liver and upper lungs. Great round Hornady for lever guns."

"At 100 yards, I put this bullet right through the shoulder of a doe. Unknown to me, there was a same-sized buck right behind her. The bullet hit the buck in the exact spot and kept on going. A 2-fer!!!!!!! I would have given this a 5 bullet rating but didn't really want a double pass thru."

"Great round, shoots about 2\" high at 100 yards from my Marlin 1895G. Save the brass, of course, Hornady brass is A1A for reloading. For a hunting round, in North America, nothing else comes close. This is a one shot, no travel kill round. I wish Hornady would consider loading a 350 grain magnum round--I've not hunted Alaska, but think it may be appropriate for bear defense up there."

"Awesome round. Use them in my Marlin 45-70 and have never had a problem with them. Highly recommend them to everyone."

"I have no complaints about this round. My marlin 1895GS is cleaner after using this round, compaired to Winchester bullets. Definately not a rifle for target practicing."

"Very accurate ammo with a manageable kick. My Marlin 1895sbl had no problems cycling this ammo and after 20 rounds my Marlin wasn't as dirty as some other cheap ammo. The price is very good for such accurate and clean ammo. I would definitely buy more."

"I sighted this round in through my new CVA Apex 25\" Bergara barrel last week. They literally shoot in the same hole at 100 yards using a Leupold VX-II 3X9. Only problem is that two of the eight rounds I fired resulted in split cases. I have sent Hornady an email with lot number and photo...not response yet. I give this stuff a 5 for accuracy and a 1 for the split cases, which is probably a case annealing issue with that lot since I fired two other brands through the Apex the same day and had no problems with the other cases (they just weren't as accurate)."

"I wrote a review recently about a split case issue I had with these rounds. After discussing with Hornady, this is an annealing issue. According to the Hornady rep I spoke with, the manufacturer who made the brass for them, apparently made this lot too brittle, causing some of the cases to split when fired, about an inch back from the mouth of the cartridge, and averaging 3/4\" to 1\" in length. Hornady is replacing all three boxes at their cost, so I've bumped my rating up a notch to a 4, for their prompt resolution to the problem. Unfortunately, for obvious legal reasons I can't post the lot number, and CTD would probably edit it out, anyway."
