.380 Automatic Colt Pistol, DRT, 85 Grain Copper Jacketed Frangible Hollow Point, 50 Round Box, 1300 fps.

Years of research and testing by Dynamic Research Technology (DRT) in conjunction with elite agencies world wide have created the deadliest ammunition available. This is the only ammunition used to safeguard officials and has earned the name "Dead Right There". The uniqueness of this copper-jacketed ammunition is in the compressed powder core which is as fine as talcum powder, as the bullet is fired it is spinning at such a high speed, when it reaches any part of the "target" and comes into contact with the organic tissue the hydrostatic shock of the soft material going into the hollow point actually makes the entire core projectile expand creating a fatal wound. The bullet will not pass through the "target" making it perfect for home defense or close quarter combat. Hit any part of the body to stop it dead in its tracks.

"This is some awesome ammo, takes the meat right off the bone. Shot up some dead pork, this ammo purely destroys fleshy substances with unmatched stopping power. High quality ammunition, recommend this to anyone who carries concealed."

"I purchased a box of this ammo in 380ACP with the intent of using it for self defense ammo. This was not a good choice for self defense ammo. When it works it is excellent. The problem is that out of 50 rounds I had 13 fail to fires. Upon examination the failed rounds had a nice round strike in the middle of each and every primer. I checked the gun and found no problems. My conclusion is that this ammo is not reliable!! I will not be placing my life or that of my family's on ammo that I can not count on! One in 4 or 5 defective rounds is unacceptable."

"Cracked off a box today at the pistol range (50' target) with my Kel-Tec 3AT. Smooth chambering and no miss fires. Drew a 5\" pattern which is good enough for me. I'll purchase more and the price is right. Don't know about meat removal. .380 auto ammo hard to come by in my neck of the woods."

"19 of the 50 rounds failed to fire...."

"I've fired off about 50 rounds in my 383-A Bersa .380ACP without a hitch, no miss-feed, no miss-fire. Clean burn, tight groups, excellent knock down power. We were using plastic 1 gallon jugs of water to simulate soft targets and these rounds annihilate a gallon jug. They enter clean and appear to completely disintegrate, the copper shell splinters into pieces and the powder core takes out the back wall of the jug with a hole about 6\" across. Off hand I would say these would be a excellent self defense round."

"Great Ammo. 100 rounds without a misfire through my Kel-tec P3at. Great price also. The range I attended was selling target round .380 for 35.00 a box."

"Out of the 30 rounds I fired I had 10 not fire (perfectly dented primers). I'm guessing the primers are obviously bad, I will never buy this ammo again."

"I ran a box of these through my new P3AT and couldn't be happier. No problems of any kind. As there is limited 380 ammo in my area to compare with I won't comment much on accuracy except to say I was satisfied with it."

"I bought 2 boxes for defensive purposes. It sounded like the perfect round. In the first box 3 of the first 4 rounds failed to fire.In the second box the first 3 rounds failed to fire. Then I stopped. All other ammo fired perfectly from my PPK 380I am calling DRT now."

"I had 5 failures to fire out of first box through my Sig and a couple of failures to extract or stovepiping. My Brother tried some in his Ruger and had the same failure to fire issues. Some would go off after 3-4 re-strikes. I would recommend checking this ammo in your firearm for reliable function before putting this in a carry gun."

"This is worthless ammo. I had many not fire. Some I reloaded into the gun and they did fire and some after reloading still wouldn\uFFFDt fire. This ammo should be free!"

"I had around 30% that failed to fire and some Jams. The primers are bad.I know it's hard to find .380 these days, but don't waste your time and money."

"I bought a box to try. Worked great in my Kel-Tec P3AT. I noticed that in the other reviews the P3ATs seem to like this ammo. Is it possible that some .380 pistolos have weaker springs than Kel-Tec? Good ammo in my Kel-Tec!!!"

"I had feeding issues with every round of the 50 rounds I shot. Most were rough and slowed the action to the point that could watch it move. I had 10 fail to feeds and 1 stove pipe. So all i can say is my LCP did not care for it, but it does like gold dot and hornady."

"Not a single problem in 100 rounds in a new P-3AT.I think everyone that doesn't have a P-3AT should quit buying this so I could get a better price : )"

"My Wife put a box throught Her Wather PK380 today, no jams, missfeeds, no hitches at all."

"Fired off a magazine worth of ammo, have yet to fire more, but fired out of my wife's Bersa Thunder .380, all 7 rounds fired and ejected just fine, and judging by the kick she got and how well it tore up the tree we shot, it's a nasty little round to get hit with! It's our home defense ammo, so I don't use it for plinking much, but decided to put some rounds down the barrel of my wife's gun just to quell some of the 1 bullet reviews I read. So far, no problems!"

"Ordered two box's from CTD, shipping was fast, ran one box though my Ruger LCP, to check from jamming...ect. Had no problems at all, got good groupings, also tried rapid fire \"when it's most likely to jam\" with no hint of jamming or misfire. I am very confident to use the ammo for everyday carry. And will buy more when it's back in stock."

"I am updating my last review. My first box of DRT .380 ammo had MANY failures to fire. I contacted DRT and sent the ammo back to them. (DRT) they determined that it was the wolf primers causing the problem. The material used was to hard. (DRT) They sent me 2 boxes back with better primers in them. I have not had a misfire yet. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!"

"Boy were they wrong. People on my club's website were wrong.I've just ran a box of 50 through my brand new, never shot Ruger LCP, and not a jam, misfire, or poor accuracy. I'm impressed with this ammo.If you had very bad experiences before, give it another try now."

"This ammo worked perfectly for me in my Walther PPK. No misfires or jams at all, which I can't say for most ammo. I feel comfortable using this ammo in any situation."

"Went through almost two 4\" thick phone books with no expansion from 6' away. Shot a 2 1/2 gallon thin skin plastic water jug from 8' away. Entry hole and large rupture in jug. Fragmented jacket was left in the jug. Amazing! I should mention that a Hydra-Shock in the phone books penetrated about the same, and formed a perfect mushroom. I plan to stick with the DRT."

"Before I bought my first box of this ammo, I read the reviews. I was worried about those who said these rounds misfired. I bought a box to try anyway. UNBELIEVEABLE!!! I used my \"Acid Test\" - Firing from 25 feet at an empty propane tank (small grill size). I started with slow fire, then progressed to rapid fire (15 rounds at pop) through my Bersa Thunder 380 plus. All I can figure is that who had problems shooting either had tired springs or dirty pins. These rounds DESTROYED that tank in 45 shots. (3/4\" entry holes). To be fair, I fired 15 rounds (rapid fire) of Hydro-Shocks.... These bounced off more often than not. DRT is my new self defence ammo of choice. Good job, Guys."

"First of all, let me say that Cheaper Than Dirt has the most amazing and on time shipping system in place. My orders always get here quick! And the reviews really help me to know what to expect, even for my exact models and calibers. (when the reviewers include such info) As for my box of DRT for my Bersa Thunder .380, I really wanted them to do close to what they advertised but that was not the case for me. I have about ten rounds left and I load one as my first shot in my magazines because 'hopefully' they will alert others to a situation, and I do trust the round to fire. My follow up rounds are NOT frangible and they are certainly deadly. For some reason only the first shot with DRT flies straight and true, following rounds very often keyhole from my pistol. The next serial number in Bersa Thunder .380 may deliver every DRT round flawlessy, but I only have the one Bersa. I've had no jams and no failure to fire, but only sometimes do the rounds really explode as advertised. What a wound channel! These DRT's have noticibly more kick than any of my other .380 rounds. DRT will still penetrate quite well even when keyholed. I would try them again, but not in my particular pistol. Thank you, and may peace be with you and yours."

"Excellent round. No problems at all. I've heard that early batches had some hard primers that caused some problems.I have never had any problem with firing, accuracy or cycling.I keep both mags loaded with this round. In my opinion, you cannot beat this round for CQC.I only wish I could get this round in .45LC..."

"Bought some .380 DRT Frangible ammo with a date of Nov. 13, 2009 through CheaperThanDirt. Contacted DRT when I had 8-9 failures to fire with out a good one. Was told my KelTec was an inferior weapon and a friend\uFFFDs Ruger LCP had problems. We've never had a problem with Speer Gold Dots or Buffalo Bore rounds. Not good if you want your customer to return. Seen the other problems with this ammo and know where the problem is."

"I bought some rounds from CTD based on the most recent reviews. I don't know if I had an old lot from the warehouse, but I fired 5 boxes from a PPKS and a P238 and the results were horrible, Stovepipes and primer failures galore. Buffalo Bore, Speer, and Remington shall remain my carry loads. You won't be fighting paper and when you need it you REALLY need it."

"I bought a few boxes of this as a test to see if it really did what it said it would. I took my Bersa 380 to the field and put 100 rds of this through it with no FTF, FTC, or FTE. Also I was shooting cantaloupes, grapefruits, and coconuts. When I shot the grapefruit the entry hole was about a quarter inch and the exit was about half the fruit. The cantaloupe well it basically exploded after the first 3 rds. and the coconut...well it had no hole in the back. I sprayed some foam insulator in the entry hole and shot it again half hour later then cracked it open. The inside of the foam was shredded beyond anything I'd seen. This ammo will not only stop someone in their tracks... it will end their tracks."

"My LCP loves this, my 2 Kel-Tec's do as well BUT the Sig 238 can't get a full-mag out without at least 2 issues. So you know which guns I keep it in and carry! The Sig stays in the safe."

"Consistent failure to feed, cycle, and eject from my PPK/S. If your 380 is tempermental with ammo, try a different manufacturer. As I carry my PPK for off-duty personal defense, I won't be carrying these rounds in my gun."

"I read the reviews before buying , and I must say that I experienced no problems with this round. They hit the x each time .No misfires , no jams from my Sig P238 .So I went to the mfg. web site and ordered 2 boxes these in 45acp ."

"The only ammo that consistently stovepipes in my Taurus. May be deadly but only if it fires."

"Read about DRT ammo, ordered a box and tested 6 rounds in each carry pistol I have access to. No misloads, no misfires, and even ordered another box. Less recoil on a Bersa Thunder CC than conventional load and are quicker to the mark. Ruger LCP likes these, as well as the Cobra FS380 floorboard gun I have. Only problem is the ejector doesn't like to unload the Cobra without firing....that could be a problem."
