"Seems to be of decent quality. Purchased one box of 50 rounds. 49 fired. 1 round had to be reloaded and fired again."

"My old eyes can't see regular 38 special holes much beyond 30 feet. For distance practice, it was either shoot wad cutters or buy a 45ACP. I shot about 200 wad cutters at the range and rented a 45 the same day. The holes were both visable at 60 feet. These wad cutters are a little dirty to shoot, but tons cheaper than buying a 45. The lead takes a little more work to clean out of the barrel. but, that's to be expected."

"Good practice rounds. Good price but definitely shoot these rounds outside. The 150 rounds that I shot grouped 4in or less at 25 ft. Taurus 357 2in. But there was lots of smoke from these rounds. Shoot these rounds outside. No misfires at all."

"This ammo shoots OK, although it's smoky as others have noted.I would not consider any of S&B's .38 special brass to be reloadable. I've shot at least a thousand rounds of this stuff, and saved the brass. While I did not check every last casing, with at least a few hundred of them, the head of the casing is thicker than SAAMI specs by a few thousandths. As a result, the cases will not fit the shell holder of any of my Lee presses. I have a S&W model 36 that won't fire this ammo because of the head thickness. (The cylinder will not rotate, due to lack of head space.)No idea whether this head thickness problem is true of all calibers of S&B ammo, but if I were buying with the notion of reloading the cases, I would try a box or two before buying in bulk."

"I bought around 20 boxes of these from Cheaper than Dirt. They fire fine in my Ruger GP-100, but only fire 50% from my Tuarus 357. The springs and trigger pull on *my* Taurus is lighter. Therefore, I get alot of light primer strikes. I haven't had that issue with any Federal, PMC, CCI, or Remington out of the same gun.The case heads are thick. However, I don't have any problem reloading them on my Dillon 550B. They are about as thick as old S&W and Starline .38 cases. The brass is a little thinner though. I would never consider reloading +P in them. But they are fine for reloading 2.8 gr Bullseye loads with 148 gr HBWC."

"Bought several hundred rounds for S&W 686 and Ruger Blackhawk. No misfires in 400+, accurate, just a little dirty. In the S&W no problem, but if I run 100+ in the Blackhawk the fouling needs a quick wipedown. I get better accuracy out of S&B ammo than I do from similar priced Winchester or Remmington, not as good as Federal...but close."

"This ammo was shot through a Ruger Sp101 357.I was a new shooter and was not sure how the revolver would handle in my hand.Shot with controllable recoil at the range.Would recommend you ladies try it as you break in as a new shooter. The ammo is alittle dirty as it left residue on front of the cylinder! As with all ammo, have good ventilation because the reward smoke can cause throat irritation!"

"I have shot 4 boxes so far. No misfires with some dirt around the endof the brass. When I deprimed the empties, I was surprised to findthe empty hole almost perfectly clean. They were very accurate. Iwill buy them again. Not a bad way to get 38 brass."
