"I wanted some .38 Special ammo to use for Practice on my new S&W 686 and this was one of the better deals I could find.I shot all 250 and only one failed to fire. The only \"bad\" thing I can say is the yellow box was kind of falling apart when I received it and the casings on the cartridges had some minor cosmetic corrosion - two things that don't really matter at all. I gave the casings to a buddy who reloads and he already loaded and shot some so I guess they reload pretty good, too."

"For the money, I just don't think UMC can be beat for general purpose ammo. I've use the .38 stuff for my S&W 422, .40 S&W for my FNP-40, .45ACP for my Sig P220 and the .223 for my mini-14. The stuff just shoots and shoots and shoots, not one misfire, dud round, just no issues. I don't reload so I can't comment on the reliability of the brass for that purpose, but for out-of-the-box-plug-it-in-and-start-shooting ammo, it's tops."

"I've shot about 700 rounds of the Remington UMC .38 in a Colt King Cobra and haven't had a single misfire. This is the first ammo I've used in the gun in quite a while, so I can't compare to other brands, but it's worked well for me so far. The 250 round box is less convenient than individual 50 round boxes, unless you're going through all 250 in one outing, so I'd recommend individual boxes if the price is comparable. I don't reload, but the casings look to be good quality."
