Since its beginning in 1867, UMC has blazed a trail of innovation in cartridge making excellence that continues to this day. "Too hot. Recoil was almost silly in SW K frame with 4\" barrel, chronied at, if I recall, around 1900+ before the chronograph was shot to bits (not the ammunition's fault). Not sure if my batch was just hot, or the ammo is always like this, but I wouldn't purchase more of this any time soon; recoil was worse than some \"carry\" ammos in the same firearm. No malfunctions, it all fired."

"Just went through a couple hundred. They seem perfectly reliable. They were all very, very hot. That's not so bad, once you know what to expect. They're actually getting a '2' because they also featured an incredible amount of smoke & debris, as well. I guess they were 'fun' (in the same way that a firecracker going off in your face is fun)."

"I used these in my .357 Desert Eagle..WOW! IMI suggests 158 grain with this firearm. 125 grain UMC worked real nice. It had a big flame, no jams, I loved how it performed. Remington don't change a thing... I will only buy these from now on. Thanks CTD."

"Shooting these out of a Taurus 357 with a 6\" barrel is fun to say the least. Much more kick than a 38 +P. I didn't notice excessive smoke or flash, and i didn't experience the dirtiness the review below stated. A little dirty though, but not pieces of stuff all over dirty by any means. Great for practice, I'd say they're also acceptable for defense."

"I just tried these in my brand new 4\" GP-100 and they were a blast, literally and figuratively. Lots of fun to shoot and, in a heavy gun with beefy plastic grips, the recoil was not that bad. Very good accuracy even for a first time revolver owner like me. I like practicing with full power loads so that I can develop muscle memory for the actual self defense load in case I ever (God forbid) have to use it, and these don't disappoint. In fact I wouldn't hesitate to use these for self defense if I couldn't find the Remington SJHP or Federal Classic 357Bs - they are hot! One star deduction because they burn pretty dirty, just like the .45 ACP UMCs I have tried."
