"This is a smoking hot load. 100% reliabale ignition. Nickle brass. Easy in and out of the cylinder. There are many handgun loads that are more accurate than this one, but this one is HOT. A good snubby load when destructive power up close is all you wish for. Maybe better for rifle shooting, what do I know? I don't own a rifle."

"Great carry load. Even though it's pricey, get a couple boxes so you can get used to shooting it. It doesn't feel quite as hot as the Federal Classic 125gr, but then again the Federal jumped bullets in my 4\" Smith jamming up the cylinder. This can also be a good mid-range deer load. I took a 6 point broadside. The bullet went through the facing shoulder made a mess of the middle and stopped under the off side shoulder. Shot was at about 50 yards from a 6\" GP100. The bullet was flattened - did not crack the off side shoulder, just packed in against it. I prefer a heavier load for hunting but this one will do at appropriate range with proper placement."

"The Remington .357 magnum 125-gr SJHP is probably the very best all around defensive ammunition made. The Kentucky State Police used it from 1970 til they changed to autoloaders in the 1990's; during that time that cartridge earned the nick-name \"the Magic Bullet\" because of its effectiveness. The percentage of one-shot stops was unrivaled, and in over 2 decades only one ever over-penetrated a target (and that was a peripheral shoulder hit). As to accuracy, I always scored higher with these than with the .38 special wadcutters and insisted on qualifying with the full-power cartridge (for several good reasons).Too bad it's so hard to find now. I'm glad I still have a couple of boxes left over."

"This ammo makes my GP-100 jump more than anything else I've tried! It is also acceptably accurate, reasonably priced, and the manufacturer has a great reputation. I would not hesitate to trust my life to this ammo."

"This is likely the best and most effective self defense handgun load on the market. Rated equal with the Federal 357B, this particular Remington round has everything you need - velocity and expansion which equates to a vicious knockdown punch. Quite violent in my 4\" barrel 686P and 5\" TRR8. Practice is mandatory and round becomes manageable. I purchased 600 rounds from CTD - the price and service was excellent."

"These are good rounds, but they are a bit on the expensive side. I have some of the Federal 125s and you can see that the hollow point bullet has a cleaner cut than these Remington rounds. However, Federal doesn't sell them in a 50 round box (shoot that marketing guy. No pun intended). Who wants tons of little 20 round boxes when everything else comes in 50? With the rounds being equal, I'll be buying more of these as the budget allows. No problems with ejecting out of my two Vaqueros."
