Hornady TAP Urban .308 Winchester ammo with 110 grain polymer tip bullets, 3172 fps, 20 rounds per box, designed for law enforcement applications

Today's law enforcement professional must be prepared to face a greater variety of critical situations than ever before. That's why our Law Enforcement Performance Group developed TAP, a new line of police ammunition that is as street-ready as the officer who carries it.

The Law Enforcement Performance Group's mission for the TAP line of ammunition is centered on one simple belief: A law enforcement professional deserves to be armed with ammunition that has been specially designed for his or her specific tactical situation.

The result is a growing line of specialized ammunition from a legendary company that understands bullet design and ballistic physics better than anyone else in the world - Hornady.

This cartridge provides police marksmen the precision they can depend on in critical situations. With the least penetration in ballistic gelatin tests and lower felt recoil as compared to heavier TAP loads, the 110 grain bullet demonstrates similar penetration to the 223 Rem. 75 gr. BTHP bullet, but with substantially more temporary and permanent cavity and fragmentation, proving itself an ideal choice for urban sniping.

NOTE: An excellent choice for the M14 and its variants.

Intended for use in a 1-10"-1-12" twist barrel.
Performs optimally in a 1-12" twist.

"I have purchased this ammo and fire it out of my Howa 1500 Varmint from the prone supported bipod. I fired three shot groups that I could cover with a nickle and three shot connected groups at 100 yards. I used this ammo for deer hunting two years ago. Deer went down at 125 and 150 years with neck shots. No! exit wound, bullet fragmented with no over penatration. This is great ammo if you are concerned with to much penatration. Try it."
