The Barnaul Machine Plant JSC is one of the leading producers of industrial goods and ammunition in Russia. The plant's history goes far in the past to the period of Alexander I. The Emperor ordered the opening of the first cartridge plants in St. Petersburg in 1869. During World War I the plant supplied the Russian Army and operated out of St. Petersburg, During World War II, the plant was relocated to Barnaul, where production of various types of cartridges began.

Silver Bear loads feature a distinctive polished zinc plating on the steel cases which ensure exceptional reliability, functionality and feeding a variety of firearms. "You get what you pay for. This is not clean ammo at all and I would not recommend it for anything but a bolt action gun. I used it in my M4 and it had to be rebuilt."

"Me and another officer i work with ran 200 rounds each of the 62g JHP through our DPMS AR-15s with no failures, no ejection problems, and no fouling. seemed cleaner than Wolf (which wouldn't feed through the ARs) and a little grittier than Remmington. Powder smelled strong of amonia, and downrange accuracy with iron sights was as to be expected with cheap ammo. 4-5\" groupings at 100 meters. Fun for mag dumps though."

"This ammo is outstanding for your AK variant type 223 rifles such as the saiga, FAL(223),ARSENAL SLR-106FR, GALIL and even the Remington pump police rifle works well in. I shoot 2\" groups in my 20\" SAIGA from 100 yds all the time. The same thing with the 308 silver bear HP in my SAIGA 16\" 308 I shoot under 3\" groups. So this ammo is good just not made for the ARs that should use brass case ammo to run smoothly."

"Put about 400 of the 500 rounds i bought through my bushmaster m4. Havent had a single problem with it feeding or ejecting. But i have noticed it is dirtier than the other ammo i've used. After 2 mags i check the bolt and chamber and it was pretty dirty but still no problems shooting or anything. It does produce about 3-4 inch groups at 100 yards. Still good enough for coyote hunting."

"I just finished shooting 200 rounds of the silver bear .223 ammo and I was very impressed with the performance, i had 1.5 inch groupings at 50yards. I had only 2 Failure to ejects but at this price I have no problem racking the charging handle twice. This is good ammo, I shot some Wolf .223 and I got Multi failure to ejects and the wolf ammo is much more dirty, harder recoil and just cheap. this ammo was VERY VERY VERY good for the price, and I am Ex-Military and a Police officer. You can trust this ammo."

"I have run at least 1500 rounds of this silver bear 55gr. Thru my S&W M&P AR15 Optics Ready model. Straight up, I love this stuff! Never any failures of any type! None of the concerns as with the poly and laquer coated stuff. Dirty? Of course its dirty but thats of no concern, it still cleans up completely. For the price this brand is the greatest kept secret in the AR steel cased (bullet will attract a magnet) ammo market."

"Bought and shot 200 rounds through my S&W AR15 Sport II without any issue. No FTF/FTE's...made the rifle go "bang!", put holes in stuff and blew up tannerite. It was a fun 200 rounds. My local indoor ranges won't let you shoot this because of the bi-metal jacket but it was fun, cheap ammo, to shoot outdoors."

"This ammo is great! The price is good I've ordered many cases and all rounds cycled perfect in my colt 6920. I can say with confidence I have yet to have any malfunctions."
