For innovative shotgun ammo, check out this 12 Gauge Silver Bear; it has a 2-3/4" shell loaded with 1-1/8 Oz of #8 Zinc Plated Shot which it fires at 1100 fps.

This high quality ammo features distinctive nickel plating on the cartridge case; hence the "Silver" Bear name. Silver Bear offers high quality at reasonable prices. Other manufacturers reserve the silver cases for law enforcement, safari and specialty ammo. This product uses Berdan priming for long shelf life and sure-fire ignition. Silver Bear is loaded to exacting standards.

"The cases are actually 3in not 2 3/4 and won't penetrate particle board at 20 feet"

"Interesting ammo. Works very well in my Mossy 88 and shoots a surprisingly good pattern out of the cylinder bore probably due to the low velocity it shoots. Recovered pellets were nice and round and this tends to produce better patterns. Would NOT load into the magazine of a friends auto loading Mossberg so order a sample of this before you get carried away. It at times wants to hang up in my pump when trying to chamber a round also due to the length and sharp slightly rolled crimp. NO, It is not three inch, it is 2 3/4, shell length is measured after fired, not before but it is longer than a crimped shell and that can cause loading issues in some guns. Treat it as what it is, a low powered novelty round that is fun to shoot and different. I got very good patterns at up to 30 yards out of my gun with it with no choke. The biggest problem with it is the berdan priming as I would like to have reloaded it with black powder for my antique shotguns. If it were boxer or 209 primed I'd buy a case of it. Hope this helps."
